What do you like best?

This is one area I would give kudos: The user interface and ability to manage SINGULAR products is effective, better than building and maintaining SKUs directly in our eCommerce system Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The system doesn't do 80% of what we were promised when sold the platform as a solid PIM/PXM option to interface and feed our BigCommerce platform. If you use product families, variants, custom attributes, or anything outside of a VERY vanilla B2C feature set with extremely well-defined endpoints that happen to align with the stock fields in Salsify, THIS SOFTWARE IS NOT FOR YOU... What do you like best?

Salsify has many features that has helped our organization to have one source for data and for the organization to become efficient in the every changing digital world. Salsify allows me to keep track of the information and to know what’s missing from specific products. It is intuitive and user-friendly product. What do you like best?

I like the ability to customize information and The properties to specific channels and retailers. Not only that, it is easy to do. Creating these channels has helped organize and push our content to valuable retailers. What do you like best?

Custom readiness reports have proved to offer the greatest time savings for us, as it allows us to easily meet the demands of any retailer (no matter how difficult). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Salsify tends to be slow to update direct connections and we've often seen that API connections aren't up to date. We've experienced this with the BigCommerce and GDSN connections, where publication failed because the channels were not current with the latest partner requirements. There's no better product on the market that can do what Salsify does. The team is receptive to feedback and always pushing limits to enhance the product. What do you like best?

It was easy to sort and filter products, bulk edit, and had a ton of options for converting digital assets. It would crop, change file types, resize, etc all in bulk. You can set up custom templates for your customers so the data is always pulled into the right template, since no one uses the same product information format.. It was easy to export data into different formats and templates, or directly publish data to connected customers, such as Amazon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The onboarding processes was long. You really need to dedicate the time and resources to setting this up and getting the information correctly imported into Salsify. If you don't follow along each week, and have your information gathered, then it makes it difficult to learn in a hands-on matter. When we did onboarding, we had over 3,000 SKUs and the information was not at all centralized, so we were very behind trying to gather all the pieces and figure out the best processes among all the users. What do you like best?

It's a great all-in-one spot to store product information. It is easy to find data within Salsify, verses having to search through SAP, or another ERP you may be using. It's all tied to the SKU, so you don't need to view multiple screens or menus to see the inforamtion. I like how it's tied to other e-retailers, such as Amazon, and can automatically publish updated and new product information to the platforms.You can also tie it into your website so that data is automatically refreshed as well. It's great being able to update it in one spot and having it disseminate to the other channels. I also like how it can convert image files into various sizes and color formats, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

It can be a bit cumbersome to learn. I didn't find the onboarding particularly amazing, but they are all very nice to work with. It's a long onboarding process, but you really need to dedicate the time and resources to implementation. If you are going from no product management system it takes a lot of effort to get the data into one centralized area, and get it imported. It's also a little cumbersome to tie images to each SKU. I had 3,000+ SKUs and each SKU had at least one image, typically hey had 3 to 5 images each. You use a spreadsheet to tie the image files to the SKUs so it is not an easily visual way to know which file goes with which SKU. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Salsify is a great platform to use and catalog assets organized by SKU. It has helped our organization streamline the sharing of digital assets company-wide and with outside vendors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It could be our implementation but with the way our feeds come into Salsify it is a chaotic mess with empty products and missing information. The feeds coming in from Magento have created a lot of redundancies and duplicate products. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Before Salsify, our product creation and syndication process was extremely slow, sometimes taking anywhere from 2-6 weeks before the products would be fully enriched with data and added to websites. What do you like best?

It seems quite useful to be able to change the size and name of the images in real time, since this saves us a lot of editing time and we can manage the modifications of different products at the same time.

The digital catalogs allow to share products indicated for them with different groups of clients. They are easy to use and modify.

It is quite easy to export and import a large amount of information that you have in other platforms or files, which allows you not to waste time entering all the information again, but in a few clicks you can have all the information available within the platform. What do you dislike?

A broader and deeper tutorial would be something that could increase in future updates. Salsify is a really big software that allows you to control and manage products, statistics, clients and all this must be explained in a deeper way because you can take several days to fully understand its operation.

This software is extremely powerful, we find new ways to use it to support our digital marketing and eCommerce site management each week. Dynamic lists of products that power alerts and workflows have reduced the time it takes to manage many manual processes. The support staff is the best of breed. crawl, walk, run. Start with the basics, get used to the tool, then start adding in more complex uses. You learn more each month which allows you to use it strategically for long-term. Digital Asset Management, Data syndication. We have a better product data repository using parent child relationships, it has allowed us to clean up missing dimensions and attach marketing copy for better item level data. We have set up "alerts" to tackle a variety of scenarios that need manual attention. The sales team uses the interactive digital catalogs. What do you like best?

Salsify is very intuitive. I'm used to accessing the back-end of a database, not the User Interface, but this has been a very easy transition. But maybe my favorite thing about Salsify is the Support Team. They're very responsive, very helpful, and great on the follow-up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

There are still some glitches to be worked out, and I'd like to have more control over things. I'd like the relations tab to do more than just be a click-through to related products. It would be nice to be able to bulk edit, or make lists. I'd also like control over the target display name in related products. What do you like best?

I like the spreadsheet import tool which allows me to tie assets to multiple products in just a few easy steps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I don't like that the system doesn't allow multiple copies of the same asset. That forces me to give general file names to anything being used for more than one product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
