It seamlessly brings multiple structured and unstructured data sources into a single system, unifying them for reporting and insights that can later be activated or ingested by other systems.

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud)?**

I don’t like the level of complexity involved with the different activations, even though they’re very convenient and practical for more complex segmentations and personalization.

**What problems is Salesforce Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main benefit—and the core problem it solves—is the ability to unify individuals across siloed systems and all kinds of sources.

  ### 31. Great Out-of-the-Box Data Model, but Workflows Take Too Many Clicks

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Salesforce Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud)?**

The way its out of the box data model captures many common customer attributes and touchpoints across industries. This enables quick wins out of the box instead of custom configurations.

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud)?**

Way too many click required in a workflow. I am constantly going back to a main tab and clicking through many screens to get to where I need to go.

**What problems is Salesforce Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Giving a click not code solution to building customer segments for a marketing team.

  ### 32. Powerful Customer Insights and I love this cloud!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kalyan P. | Salesforce Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Salesforce Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud)?**

I appreciate how this platform brings together customer data from various sources into a single, unified profile, providing a clear and consolidated overview. The real-time insights and segmentation features allow me to better understand customer behavior and respond quickly. The AI-powered recommendations and analytics support more data-driven and efficient decision-making. I also value how well it integrates with other Salesforce tools, which makes the overall workflow more connected and seamless.

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud)?**

The setup and configuration can feel complex at times, especially when dealing with data mapping and permissions — it requires a learning curve and technical precision.

**What problems is Salesforce Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Salesforce Data 360 addresses the challenge of fragmented and isolated customer data spread across different systems. Rather than having to switch between various platforms, I now have a single, real-time view of all customer interactions. This unified perspective allows for better personalization, supports more informed decision-making, and results in campaigns that are both more targeted and effective. Personally, this means I spend less time on manual data management and can dedicate more energy to strategic initiatives, all supported by reliable insights.

  ### 33. Steep Learning Curve But Integrates Well for Segmentation

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rahimeh B.

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Salesforce Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud)?**

I appreciate how Salesforce Data Cloud simplifies the creation of segmentations using various criteria and data points which isn't possible in native Salesforce reports. The integration with Marketing Cloud is extremely useful, allowing us to act on insights about prospects and enhance account engagement.

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud)?**

I find setting up Salesforce Data Cloud to be quite difficult due to the extensive training required and the new terminology introduced. It feels almost like learning a new product from scratch, especially with functionalities like data mapping, unification, and segmentation that we hadn't handled before. Additionally, the product's complexity is heightened by areas where writing code is necessary, such as with calculated insights and query editors, which differ significantly from standard Salesforce administration tasks. This steep learning curve is not just challenging but makes the overall user experience less intuitive, especially for experienced Salesforce administrators.

**What problems is Salesforce Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves complex marketing segmentation by using criteria and attributes from different data points, enhancing our segmentation capabilities beyond native Salesforce reports. The integration with Marketing Cloud enables us to act on insights, improving prospect engagement.

  ### 34. Powerful Customer Insights with Salesforce Data Cloud, but Setup and Costs Can Be Challenging

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aswini G. | Senior Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Salesforce Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud)?**

What I appreciate most about Salesforce Data Cloud is how it brings together data from various sources to form a unified, real-time customer profile, offering a comprehensive 360° view of each person. Its AI-powered segmentation and activation features make it possible to deliver highly personalized marketing and engagement. I also value the way it integrates smoothly with the wider Salesforce ecosystem, which supports more intelligent automation and improved decision-making across sales, service, and marketing.

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud)?**

What I dislike about Salesforce Data Cloud is that initial setup and data mapping can be complex, especially when dealing with legacy or siloed systems. It also requires strong data governance and technical expertise to maintain accuracy and prevent duplication. Additionally, licensing and storage costs can become significant as data volume and use cases expand.

**What problems is Salesforce Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Salesforce Data Cloud solves the problem of disconnected and fragmented customer data by bringing information from multiple systems into a single, unified profile. It enables real-time insights, smarter segmentation, and personalized engagement across every touchpoint. This benefits me by providing a deeper understanding of customers, more effective targeting, and improved business decisions driven by accurate, up-to-date data.

It was a painful process, though it was a one-time effort.","I would like to have more ingrained data governance that can mirror my Salesforce score, permissions, and governance.","The pricing model is very complicated.
