"Reliable Data Backup, but User Tracking Needs Improvement"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Salesforce Backup & Recover?

The peace of mind of knowing that each day our data is securely backed up and accessible is invaluable in our large org where changes can have a tremendous impact, and those changes can be flagged quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salesforce Backup & Recover?

It remains difficult to track changes flagged by Own down to the specific user who made the change, and we still rely on the UI recycling bin to find this information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable, Flexible Backups with Easy Recovery—UI Could Use an Update"
4/5
What do you like best about Salesforce Backup & Recover?

The platform’s automation and simplicity stand out — backups run on schedule, retention policies are easy to configure, and recovery can be done in just a few clicks. The granular restore options (for single records, files, or full datasets) give our teams flexibility and confidence. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salesforce Backup & Recover?

The UI could be more modernized for a smoother user experience, and pricing tiers may feel steep for smaller organizations. However, the performance, reliability, and security it delivers more than justify the cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Impressive Data Masking and Versatile Features, but Needs Better Marketing"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Salesforce Backup & Recover?

It seems impressive because it offers multiple uses, such as data backup, archiving, and seeding. However, the most important feature for me is data masking, and having this capability natively in Salesforce is fantastic! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salesforce Backup & Recover?

The only issue I have is that they haven't marketed it effectively—I wish I had known about this sooner! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great product, easy to use"
5/5
What do you like best about Salesforce Backup & Recover?

Extremely intuitive interface. Very easy to set up and get started with backups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salesforce Backup & Recover?

It has been 10 months since I have used it and it could have changed in the meantime but I found the process of adjusting backups after we recreated sandboxes to be a bit challenging. This may stem from the org ids being mismatched but there should have had been some type of process by which to reconfigure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Data Backup, but UI Needs Improvement"
5/5
What do you like best about Salesforce Backup & Recover?

Having a backup instance for my data really provides peace of mind. Knowing that my information is safely stored elsewhere makes me feel much more secure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salesforce Backup & Recover?

What I find most frustrating is the lack of an intuitive user interface. The overall ease of use is not up to my expectations, which makes navigating the UI less enjoyable for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive Features for CISOs, but Pricing Concerns for Nonprofits"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Salesforce Backup & Recover?

As a CISO for my org it hits on all marks product-wise: backup and data recovery, regulatory/compliance support, security & discovery, plus the integration with SalesForce. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salesforce Backup & Recover?

I’ve not drilled down enough into how those utilities operationalize. Also, as a nonprofit org I’m not sure if the pricing of the tool is something my org can sustain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent Data Recovery"
5/5
What do you like best about Salesforce Backup & Recover?

Own (Backup) is phenomenal at being able to retrieve and restore very granular subsets of data, even down to individual fields/values on individual records. Own is the backup solution you hope you never need, but the one you want if you do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salesforce Backup & Recover?

I think it could be more intuitive at doing sandbox seeding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
