There are some occasions where I cannot find a match in the database with a job that is in our organization, but I know I can get assistance with finding relevant information to fit my needs.

Access to market data that is current, but because rates are updated regularly I have timely information.

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

The Professional Services Team that is assigned to our account is amazing.  They are super responsive to needs and attempt to accommodate our special requests to meet our organizational needs.   We recently went through a year+ project to develop a Career Framework and update all of our job descriptions and leverage the workflow processes with our operational leadership team to develop.  James and Ashley were very patient with us as we navigated the system capabilities and implementation of our new framework and descriptions.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

More information about system capabilities upfront from the Professional Services Team or in the video library to better leverage the design of our job description template and workflow processes.  This would have eliminated some rework for both parties as the project progressed.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Provides a single platform for the organization to store all job descriptions and salary management processes.  It is our source of truth.  Reporting features that are useful for other aspects of the HR and organizational work related to competencies, HRIS data, interface with internal company systems, etc.

The data situation for Europe is very poor, so the data is only conditionally usable.

I want to compare the annual salaries of defined jobs. For this, I must be able to rely on the data provided.

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

The tool is very user-friendly and flexible, and the team we're working with has been great at customizing it to fit our company's specific needs. It's nice that we're not forced into a one-size-fits-all solution - we can make it our own.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

Some capabilities and logic could be more pre-built. Currently we're having to customize and configure quite a bit ourselves, which is understandable given how new some of the products are. But it can be time-intensive double-checking the logic.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has streamlined our compensation merit process into one, user-friendly tool, as opposed to an older, less compatible version we were previously using. We are also able to house all of our compensation and job data in one place which removes multiple tools we were currently using and we're able to combine it into one easy resource for our partners. This cuts down so much time we were spending previously updating each tool with fresh data and making sure it was accessible for all of our partners.

Salary.com offers one of the most robust and trusted compensation datasets available—especially for U.S.-based roles, but we’ve also found it useful for Canadian-based positions. The platform’s market pricing tools are intuitive and allow for deep segmentation by geography, industry, and company size. CompAnalyst makes it easy to build and manage compensation structures, benchmark roles, and model career levels in a way that’s both competitive and fair. As an HR leader at a high-growth, distributed company, I appreciate how easily I can slice data across different markets to ensure pay equity and competitiveness company-wide. Because it’s so easy to use, I find myself relying on it regularly—not just during comp cycles, but throughout the year.

As a startup where equity is a key part of total rewards, one of the biggest gaps is the lack of benchmarking for equity compensation. Since the platform primarily focuses on base and bonus, we’ve had to layer in additional data sources to get a full picture. This limits our ability to use Salary.com as a standalone source for building a comprehensive compensation strategy.

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

Customer service and professional services support has been excellent in the 10 years that I have worked with Salary.com.  CompAnalyst is a cloud-based industry leading compensation management tool suite that has all of the functionality that a compensation professional would be looking for, from basic market pricing to regression calculations for executive jobs.  Salary.com continues to add functionality to the tool suite including a recent AI-powered intelligent job posting scraping tool, compensation planning tool, as well as enhancements to their signature market pricing and compensation management core product.  The CA tool suite is highly configurable and very easy to understand, and the professional services team is very responsive and quick to assist with questions or requests.  The CompAnalyst Market Data has continued to expand and is a very capable rival to some of the general industry surveys produced by the big consulting firms.  The process for getting third party survey data loaded into the tool is very easy, and the process for creating market pricing composites is equally straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

The only drawbacks that I have found to the CompAnalyst tool are that for the most part you cannot use your browser's back button, and need to click on specific links within the page to navigate.  This is only a minor complaint, but new users may need to take note.

Salary.com provides an integrated compensation management tool suite that will enable our organization to manage job descriptions, survey data, create market pricing composites and in general, help us pay our employees more competitively.

Salary.com has access to a wide network of compensation statistics that come directly from payroll so they can be relied on. They have a tiered model that you can add on to the data requested based on your needs, so you have more control over what data you are paying for. Their filters allow you to select criteria like industry and region to focus your searches. The interface is easy and intuitive. Customer support has been helpful each time I inquired.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

Some of the lesser used job titles can be challenging to source. With that said I have been able to find a proxy that approximates the title I was looking for, closely enough to be useful.

Providing reliable compensation data that can be trusted. The internet has many free tools that are unreliable sources.

I think I am on my 4th customer service rep or account rep. Hopefully due to promotions and not turnover.

I wouldn't say they are solving anything. They give me a tool to use and I have to figure out how to use it within my own organization. I appreciate the data they are collecting and feel confident it is accurate.

This product is very helpful in determining salaries or increases for our staff.  We have many different contracts in many different states and locations, so this product is helpful in our planning for other states.

There really is no downside to using this product.  We have used it for years.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have to be able to quickly determine salaries and rates for new jobs as well an annual increases.

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

The comps are pretty good, I work in a niche industry and there are some jobs we have which aren't reflected in the available catalog but I can appreciate the great value from the ones that are. The system is fairly easy to navigate and there are plenty of features to adjust in order to dial in. 

I was not here for implementation so there is not much I can speak on in terms of ease of implementation. 

As HR I use the service frequently to review comps. It's been simple to integrate into daily use coming from somewhere which didn't have it. 

I was prompted to write this response due to the really awesome experience I had with a customer service rep- Al F. (I won't use the full name for security reasons but I'm happy to name her internally). She resolved the issues caused by the previous rep and got everything done in literally 5 minutes. She's a true professional!

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

Their customer service needs more Al F.'s and less Carols.

Expand into moire niche job markets.

Less marketing pop ups for other services.

We use Salary.com for comp work.

One of the standout features of CompXL is its user defined functionality that supports highly detailed and complex programs. Whether you're managing financial metrics, conducting data/status analysis, or simulating different scenarios, the software provides a flexible platform that allows for intricate support in a secure environment.

What I appreciate most is its user-friendly interface despite its powerful capabilities. It strikes a nice balance between offering depth and staying accessible. Plus, the support teams make it easy to connect with other HCM systems, which is crucial for streamlining bonus and merit administration.

Finally, I love that it’s scalable. As your needs evolve, CompXL adapts, allowing you to tackle more complex projects with ease without feeling limited by the software.

The excel based architecture sometimes is viewed as being antiquated. We have a significant amount of custom formulas, which they are great about adapting and inputting, but it is not a "hand over the plan doc and we will get it working" type of system. Those with strong compensation departments and a clear/concise bonus and merit program will see significant abilities in customizing, approving, and releasing customer statements. The newer interface within CompAnalyst is quite a good looking UI that helps blend previous functionality for those comfortable with excel, with allowing new users to have a streamlined interface if inputs are directly within the system.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Secure transmission and adaptability for the granular level aspects we have within our ever growing company are the two highest benefits.

One of the biggest problems CompXL solves is handling detailed, multi-metric, location, and parameter programs. Many tools out there are either too simple to handle complex bonus plans or are so specialized that they lack the flexibility for desires of our reward philosophy. CompXL allows for intricate setups with advanced formulas, reporting, and communication—perfect for tasks that demand precision and flexibility.

This makes it far easier for me to manage, modify, and scale complex workflows without worrying about outgrowing the software. It helps me keep everything organized and allows me to save time while solving problems that require multi-faceted solutions.

I use Salary.com every day for two months of the year, and weekly for the other ten months. The ease of use and customer support makes the platform an easy sell to leadership. From implementation to launch the platform could not be easier to understand and customize. The features are outstanding, hybrid role creation is by far my favorite. Customer support with our dedicate client manager is a life saver.

While I love Salary.com, I do wish the limited package came with more than 1 geographic area, I would like to have access to all geographic areas to a single state. While I do not currently have a need for this, I will in the future and limited to a single state would be much more logical and cost effective for smaller regional businesses limited to a single state of operation.

It is making the transition from family owned small business to medium sized business easier. We are now able to plan how to become an employer of choice through competitive compensation.

You have access to job descriptions and competencies, which are extremely helpful, especially when thinking about new roles.  You can upload all of your existing job titles and compare similar roles, industries, etc.  The customer support team has been fantastic.  My direct customer success specialist has been amazing!! The implementation meetings were so helpful.  The system is easy to navigate.

Salary.com has been most helpful with external benchmarking.  This is invaluable in making sure the company is meeting the market in the area of compensation. Many of the new features and capabilities help with building a business case & drive effective conversations with managers and leaders about compensation. Additionally, the company's adopted tool CompAnalayst is easy to use. 

I cannot say enough about Sari Reyes our Customer Success Manager.  She has taken the time to learn our business and recommend solutions that match where we are & can growth with the company.   She responds each time I reach out to her with a question on a existing or new product.

It is very easy to search jobs and adjust the salary factors once you find the job. I enjoy that there are usually multiple levels for each job to choose from and the descriptions help us match our positions to the ones in the database. I also enjoy being able to build our company jobs so they are easier to reference in the future. The system was very easy to learn and the reps did a good job getting us set up and rolling.

The biggest downside is how many clicks you have to go through to get a job created, and the system can be kind of slow to load during this process. There are also a lof of ads that pop up, and not just when I log in. It seems as soon as I snooze one for 30 days theres another queued up behind it.

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I have used salary.com for several years.  The platform was recommended by a former client of mine in the casino industry.  The CompAnalyst product covers the U.S. and one can drill down to a zip code for geographic conpensation data.  There are many, many industries included in this survey.  I have used this product for several clients in different industries.  This product is easy to use and has a great help center included.

I would definitely recommend the product to an HR consultant or any HR Compensation Professional.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

Although CompAnalyst is a very good product, I do not recommend Compdata if your company needs to drill down into a specific area.

It is Very easy to use. It is very easy to save the searches for future use and updating.

I would like it to have better out puts to share. The pdf are not very robust or a very good representation. I usually have to recreate the output to shre.

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

Salary.com is user-friendly, and provides quick, clear reporting to share with executives or compensation decision-makers.  For businesses outside of the private club realm, you can find most jobs, create hybrid jobs, and price according to factors that are relevant to your business.

Their customer service has always been great.  It was easy to setup.  And we use it for annual market adjustments to salary.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

Our business is a hybrid, and private club and ski resort data is not pre-loaded, so you have to request special information.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Staying competitive in the market, and it's great for relocations and comparing salaries from where they are coming from/where they are going to.

This is an easy to learn and use. There is a level of customization. You can import your current employee information. The jobs are relatively easy to search for.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

There are some jobs that I have at my company that are difficult to match or pair with the available jobs. It would be helpful if there were a keyword search for job descriptions instead of just titles.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were using Mercer for salary data and it wasn't as up to date. I love that you can match and save jobs and searches so you can use them again without searching to hard. We are more efficiently able to run cost of living surveys on an annual basis and as needed

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I find the platform enlisting a broad range of positions with real-time data, along with the ability to customize your data scopes that make sense for your purpose.  Customer support has been very responsive and supportive as I've navigated some position scopes with uncertainity.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

I'm on my second year of using it and still feel like I'm not fully familiar with and maximizing it's capabilities.  The 1:1 you receive at the start is a bit overwhelming.  It would be more helpful to have the new user work through a few video tutorials before utlizing their 1:1 training with a rep.   The initial training is kinda like drinking from a firehose, and now that I've been in the system, I should probably schedule a session to look at things beyond what I'm currently using it for.

The constant sales pop ups are annoying.  If I'm paying for a product, I should not have to be continually hasselled through pop ups as I'm trying to use what I pay for.   Please find another way to communicate those things that aren't interferring w/ the paid user experience.

Ensuring I have ojective and current salary benchmarks to establish a sound and equitable compensation program to support recruiting and retention.
