## Salary.com Reviews
 ### 1. Effortless Job Position Insights with User-Friendly Layout

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hannah G. | Coordinator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I use Salary.com to review positions within my company and appreciate the very detailed information it provides. I enjoy the breakdown and layout of the website because it is easy to view, and I can use that information to help people. I personally like a source that is organized by category and easy to use, especially as someone who is newer to this. Setting up Salary.com was a very quick and simple process, involving a straightforward verification.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

There are no concerns that I have with Salary.com.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Salary.com provides detailed information about positions I need to research, and it's easy to view. The organized layout makes it user-friendly for someone new to this.

 ### 2. Reliable Market Data for Modern Compensation Strategy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Betty B. | Human Resource Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

What I like best about Salary.com is the depth and reliability of its compensation data. The platform provides strong market benchmarking tools that allow us to evaluate roles with confidence and align pay practices to current market conditions. The ability to filter by geography, company size, and industry is especially valuable for ensuring equitable and competitive salary decisions

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

The primary challenge is the complexity of job matching and navigation. While the depth of data is strong, identifying the correct benchmark role can require significant interpretation and manual adjustment. A more streamlined workflow and clearer job architecture alignment tools would enhance usability.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Salary.com helps solve the complexity of aligning internal job titles and career architecture with external market data. It provides a structured framework for leveling roles, building salary bands, and evaluating pay competitiveness across multi-state teams. This benefits us by creating consistency, reducing compensation risk, and supporting long-term talent strategy.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for the detailed review! It’s great to hear that our platform has helped you make confident pay decisions.

If you are having trouble matching a job, you can reach out to your Customer Success Manager; they will be happy to help you with this.

 ### 3. Essential Tool for Accurate Job Pricing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oliver S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I like how easy it is to price jobs with Salary.com. I can adjust a fit on CompAnalyst by creating a hybrid role or simply adjusting the years of experience or degree requirements. I think that the people team that supports the website does a great job. This week, I had a meeting with two employees from Salary.com, and they walked me through the process of manually uploading our data to the site for a future project. The initial setup was extremely easy, and the people team behind the site provided a great orientation training to me and members of the team at my organization.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

Finding a match on CompAnalyst based on my organization's internal job descriptions can sometimes be a challenge. The AI agent that matches jobs based on the description provided does not seem to be very accurate. The AI agent is usually within the right ballpark of what the role does, but the suggestion is often too high level. I think if more weight was on the role responsibilities a more accurate decision could be made.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Salary.com to price jobs and match our job codes with CompAnalyst's, ensuring our pay is competitive in our area.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for your 5-star review! We’re thrilled to hear you have had a positive experience with our team and that our hybrid roles tool is helping you price jobs competitively.

We appreciate your feedback regarding our AI agent. This is a new feature that we are constantly working on improving. We encourage you to leave your feedback in the Product Ideas tab in the Community, where it can reach our developers directly。

 ### 4. Reliable Compensation Benchmarking with Helpful Parameters and Job Description Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rosy R. | Associate People & Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I have tried many compensation benchmark websites earlier, and I mostly use the free version to help me understand my team's pay level compared to the market trend. I do this to ensure that we pay fairly. I am also someone, who is not looking for exact numbers but a rough picture and salary.com has been a very reliable guide for this search always.
I only use their website (not sure if they have an app, never tried). There are various parameters that I can check, including the salary and salary plus benefits. If you are smart enough, you can create the entire salary master structure from their data. I have refined few JDs using their Job description part (Directly took some sentences and copied them). I am also particularly fond of the factor section which below at each designation as it brings me the closest to my search.
And its funny, but I also end up at the job opening section for my role (even though I just come here to check salary for the roles I am hiring for)

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

The biggest challenge I have with this website is the amount of ad. They are very loud and annoying and due to this probably, it takes a lot of time for the website to load fully.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Pay my team fairly by comparing the current pay trends
- Sharpen my Job description to attract more applicants

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for the review! We’re glad that our free dataset is proving useful to you. We do offer many different solutions for all your total compensation management needs, from benchmarking, to writing job descriptions, merit planning, and much more!

We appreciate feedback regarding the pop-up ads. We do this to get pulse checks from visitors on what solutions they are looking for, but we will forward your feedback to our developers.

 ### 5. Insightful Tool for Salary Benchmarking

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Meghan B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I like that I can dial in on specific job duties and qualifications, even by industry, to try and get the most accurate information. It's great that we can split up jobs to try and equate a salary to what a split role might look like, allowing us to cost out what that role should be paid based on the split.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

There could be more research and time spent on the 'discounts' on jobs. I'd like to see more on what a discount should look like and when it should be applied based on market, not based on subjectivity of the user inputting the information in Salary.com.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Salary.com for benchmarking salaries, leveraging detailed job duties and qualifications. It helps us assess salary splits for multi-role positions accurately. Access to industry salaries and archived postings is also beneficial.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for your review! We’re glad that you are getting value out of our hybrid jobs tool and able to benchmark salaries more accurately.

We are also grateful for your feedback regarding job discounts. We encourage you to use the Product Ideas tab in the Community to let our developers know your thoughts.

 ### 6. Competent, Creative Implementation Team That Sets You Up for Success

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

What I like best about Salary.com is that the implementation team is very competent and creative. I feel as if they are eager to help the client succeed right off the bat with a successful implementation process. When the team runs into issues, they look for work arounds. When I asked them a question, they are prompt to respond.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

I feel that the look of the platform can be a bit dated and old. Also, navigation can be difficult since the layout is not particularly pleasant to look at. I imagine that as I use the platform more, it will become more intuitive. Until then, I do have to spend more time than I look trying to get to the right place.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping us consolidate our tech stack by having our compensation planning and compensation market data be in one place. It is also helping us have more specific pay data across various pay markets. CompXL is also helping us having a smoother bonus and compensation cycle.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for leaving your review! We’re glad you had a good experience with our team and that you were able to have a smooth implementation of the platform.

We appreciate your feedback regarding the UI. We would encourage you to leave this feedback in the Product Ideas tab in the Community, where it can reach the developers directly.

 ### 7. Useless

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lori H. | Human Resources Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I do like the ability to look up salary ranges for different job and to help create job descriptions- simple jobs were there like AP Clerk or CFO- allot of finance related information and even customer service - what I would call the basic information.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

We work in such a unique industry- it is extremely hard to find jobs and pay that fit most of circumstances of our positions.
Then there is the COST- so outrageously high and long contracts with no early out. Simply robbing us- when we wanted out.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As mentioned above- they are solving nothing for me. I completely stopped using them. I can count on both hands the amount of times I have used them since we signed up. I have repeatedly declined calls, demos etc, since I was told that I cannot cancel the contract early. No one can take the hint that this service is no longer a viable option for us.

Which is sad as I have heard from friends how great it is- but for a unigue industry like ours- it does not fit and only costs LOTS of money, which is taking away from other sources we could be using.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that Salary.com wasn’t the right fit for your organization. We appreciate you sharing your experience and have passed your comments along internally.

We understand that job matching for unique industries such as yours is a challenge. If you’re ever open to revisiting Salary.com in the future, you may want to explore SalaryIQ, which uses real-time job posting data to provide more flexible, market-driven insights. Thanks again for your feedback and we wish you the best moving forward!

 ### 8. A Decade of Excellence with CompAnalyst

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lisa D. | HR Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

Ease of use, quick implementation, amazing customer support, the best data integrity. I'm in CompAnalyst all the time. I cringe if I have to do things the "old school" way. The other comp solutions I've looked at are not at the caliber that Salary.com's tools. They are not free or cheap, but they are the best over all value.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

Nothing. They are great. I am a repeat customer. I've been using CompAnalyst for probably 10 years now. I've used this tool at multiple employers. I've recommended it to friends and colleagues. And now as a consultant, I recommend it to my clients. They really are the best overall value.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Salary.com's tools are putting data in one spot at your finger tips. You do not need to participant in salary surveys, it's all there ready to go for you. It's easy enough to understand and use that non-compensation HR folks can use it quickly and accurately.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you so much for your 5-star review, Lisa! It means a lot coming from such a long-time user of CompAnalyst! We’re thrilled to hear that you find our data reliable and our platform intuitive.

We hope to continue to help you with your compensation needs. If you have any suggestions for future improvements, we welcome you to leave feedback via the Product Ideas tab in the Community.

 ### 9. Essential for Compensation Insights and Equity

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sharell T.

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I like the reports on Salary.com. Once I've benchmarked a job, I appreciate getting a detailed report that I can share with leaders during compensation discussions, which is my favorite part of the product. These reports are invaluable as they show industry scopes and detailed job descriptions of roles, covering all compensable factors. I use these reports with my talent acquisition team when making offers and with hiring managers when planning new jobs or roles. The insights they provide concerning salary perspective are very valuable.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

I would say the AI component of it is a bit lacking. I love the fact that there is the AI capability, which is great for looking at unique roles, but using the AI part means you don't get those customized detailed reports. It would be nice if while using AI to benchmark those unique roles, we could also get a detailed report of the findings.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Salary.com for market data to solve pay compression and equity issues, benchmark job roles, and analyze compensation ratios. It provides detailed reports valuable for compensation discussions and aligning offers, supporting both my talent acquisition team and hiring managers.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for the detailed review! We’re thrilled to know that our platform is giving you the insights you need and helping you present them to your team.

Thank you also for the feedback about our AI. We are always working to improve this and welcome you to leave your suggestions for improvement through the Product Ideas tab in the Community.

 ### 10. Flexible Global Benchmarking, Easy UX

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Connie L. | National Human Resources Activist, Telecommunications, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I like Salary.com's global reach, including regions like South Africa. Its user experience is very easy, and I appreciate how flexible it is, allowing for different scopes and levels. It's competitive with bigger names and allows benchmarking in local currency with various levels like non-exempt, professional, and managerial. It gives total compensation information and lets me adjust premiums easily. The initial setup was straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

I think if you could add multiple jobs that you're working on to do multiple composites especially if they're all in the same job family. It would go faster but this also could be a user training that I need. Other than the one I just mentioned the ability to pull market data for multiple job codes at a time.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Salary.com for global benchmarking as a source of record. I like its user-friendly interface, global reach, flexibility, and ability to benchmark in local currencies with different levels and ad hoc cuts, offering comprehensive compensation information.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for your detailed review! We’re glad you are getting the global insights you need from our platform.

Under the CompAnalyst section for Bulk Pricing in the Product Resource Center there’s a tab with videos and a user guide related to bulk pricing and managing composites. If you need additional guidance or training, your Customer Success Team will be happy to help you!

 ### 11. Quick, Easy Access to Reliable, Up-to-Date Compensation Data

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Taylor E. | Talent Acquisition/HR Business Partner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

Salary.com is a quick and easy tool to use, and it makes accessing reliable compensation data very convenient. I like having up-to-date salary information right at my fingertips, which helps support informed decisions and efficient workflows. The platform is straightforward and saves time when researching market data.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

I wish it were easier to save all of the roles that I look up. I do a quarterly search on over 20 positions and I dont feel that there is a simple enough way to get to those quickly.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving the unknown of market data in our area. We previously just had to base it off of what was posted on indeed, zip, etc.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for the 5-star review! We’re happy that you're getting the reliable, up-to-date market data you need. That’s exactly what we’re here for.

We appreciate your feedback about saving roles. We encourage you to leave your suggestion in the Product Ideas tab in the Community, where it can reach our developers directly.

 ### 12. A Key Resource for Accurate Compensation Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** George W.

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I love the precision and depth of Salary.com's Personal Salary Report, which feels like having an HR expert next to me. Unlike other sites that rely on crowdsourced data, it uses employer-reported data considering my education, experience, and target company size. I appreciate the 'Cost of Living Wizard,' which easily shows how moving cities affects my take-home pay after taxes and expenses. The Personalized Salary Report and Cost of Living Wizard are valuable tools for career planning and life changes, giving detailed data-driven insights. It makes salary negotiations easier by providing reliable, specific data, transforming the platform into a negotiation partner. The initial setup of Salary.com is straightforward, allowing quick access to tools without creating an account.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

In 2026, while Salary.com is incredibly powerful, the primary friction point I encounter is the high wall between free insights and the truly deep, actionable data. Sometimes the interface can feel a bit overwhelming and 'corporate,' with so many menus and upsells that it can be tricky to quickly find the specific Salary Search tool I need without getting lost in a sea of advertisements. I’ve also noticed that for very niche or emerging roles in the tech and green-energy sectors, the employer-reported data can occasionally lag behind the rapid, real-time shifts seen on more community-driven platforms. Streamlining the user experience to be more intuitive and finding a way to provide a bit more granular detail to the free user would make the platform feel less like a gatekeeper and more like a seamless career companion.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Salary.com helps me confidently negotiate salaries by providing reliable, HR-reported data that benchmarks roles accurately. It simplifies managing compensation complexities, ensures fair pay decisions, and aids in aligning roles with market benchmarks. Its detailed tools offer insights for informed career and relocation plans.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for your detailed review! It’s great to hear that you are getting so much value from the free version of our platform.

We understand that for free users there are certain limitations. This is because our subscription customers get exclusive access to scoping tools that allow you to get more granular data, and we offer real-time job data through our SalaryIQ product. We encourage you to get in touch if these interest you!

 ### 13. Invaluable for Precision in Compensation Decisions

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gaurav P. | Software developer, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I use Salary.com as a reliable resource for compensation research and market benchmarking. It helps me understand salary ranges for different roles, industries, and experience levels, which is useful when evaluating job offers or preparing for salary negotiations. I appreciate that Salary.com includes not just base pay, but also bonuses and additional benefits, providing a realistic picture of total compensation. It's very helpful for comparing compensation trends across locations, considering cost-of-living differences and regional market demand. I like how Salary.com breaks down compensation into clear, realistic details based on role, experience level, and location, which makes the data feel accurate and up to date. Overall, it gives me confidence in understanding market pay and makes compensation decisions less stressful. The initial setup was straightforward and user-friendly, making it easy to start exploring compensation information quickly.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

One thing that could be better about Salary.com is how up to date some of the information feels, especially for newer or more specialized roles where market changes happen quickly. I feel like I have to cross-check the data with other sources just to be sure it reflects current trends. Some of the more detailed insights like precise location-based comparisons or advanced breakdowns are limited unless you upgrade, which can be a bit restrictive. A simpler layout and clearer filters would make it faster to get exactly what I’m looking for. I'd like to see the data updated more frequently, especially for fast-changing industries and emerging job roles. Clear indicators showing when data was last refreshed would also build more confidence in the insights.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Salary.com to simplify compensation decisions, offering realistic salary ranges and market trends for various roles. It considers location, experience, and industry, helping me feel confident with accurate data for salary talks, job offers, and fair pay evaluations.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for the detailed review! We’re glad that our data is helping you make confident compensation decisions.

Thank you for your feedback. While our market data is updated monthly, SalaryIQ offers real-time job posting data, which could be worth considering if you need quicker insights. We recommend contacting your Customer Success Manager if this interests you.

 ### 14. Reliable Insights, Smooth Onboarding

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mariam A. | Senior Software Development Engineer, E-III, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I like the accuracy and depth of Salary.com's compensation data. The breakdown of salaries by role, experience, and location is really helpful for understanding realistic pay ranges. I also appreciate the clear presentation of total compensation, including bonuses and benefits, which aids in making informed career and negotiation decisions. The initial setup was straightforward and easy, with the platform being intuitive, allowing me to access salary data without much configuration or a steep learning curve.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

While Salary.com is very useful, some salary ranges can feel a bit broad, especially for niche or highly specialized roles. More frequent data updates and clearer visibility into how recent the data is would improve trust and accuracy. Additionally, enhancing customization options—such as filtering by specific skills, certifications, or company size—would make the insights even more relevant.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Salary.com to research market salary benchmarks and trends, which helps me eliminate uncertainty about fair and competitive pay. It provides reliable data for salary discussions, enabling informed career and negotiation decisions with insights into base pay, bonuses, and benefits.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for your review! We’re glad you had a smooth onboarding process and feel more confident making competitive pay decisions.

Thank you for your feedback. We offer industry-specific surveys like IPAS and CompData, as well as SalaryIQ for real-time job posting data. If helpful, your Customer Success Manager can walk you through these options. You can also share filter suggestions via the Product Ideas tab in the Community.

 ### 15. Vastly Improved Insights and Customization, Plus Cost Savings

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julie M. | HRIS Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

The information is vastly superior to our previous platform. Almost everything can be adjusted or accounted for, giving you the ability to get very generic info or very specific info depending on your current need. Oh, and we saved money when we switched to Salary.com. The job aids and resources are plentiful as well.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

The same about every platform - you can't always find the exact job title you're looking for. But with just a little research, you can find something that fits. It's not worse than anywhere else and no one has solved the problem yet.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We didn't feel like we were getting accurate salary benchmarks with our old software. We couldn't adjust jobs or create hybrid jobs. Did I mention that switching actually saved us money?

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for the 5-star review! We’re thrilled to hear that you’re satisfied with our benchmark data and that we even saved you money!

If you struggle finding a job title, you can always contact your Customer Success Team; they will be happy to help you.

 ### 16. Powerful Benchmarking and Job Blending Capabilities

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

THE ABILITY TO NBENCHMARK MY POSITIONS AND BLEND JOBS THAT ARE NOT COMMON

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

I am a little disappointed in the fact that the account managers have witnessed that the system is not fully integrated by the HR department but have not stepped up to assist or provide that above and beyond service to the department. This is what I observed after a meeting with the account reps when being trained by them on the existing system that was purchased in 2025.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accuracy. Data driven information. Before we were having to go to multiple unpaid sites and it felt like hit and miss

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for your review! We’re glad that you feel you can accurately benchmark your jobs using our platform.

Thank you also for your feedback regarding your system integration. We would encourage you to contact your Customer Success Manager directly about this. They’d love to help you with further system integration.

 ### 17. Accurate Compensation Data, Distracting Experience

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emmanuel J.

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I use CompAnalyst to compare my internal pay scale against accurate employer-reported data from various job titles and for salary budget planning. It helps me automate complex incentive and merit increase calculations. I really appreciate that it eliminates 'gut-feeling' pay by allowing me to set defensible salary bands, and it helps comply with transparency laws, which protects me from lawsuits and high turnover. The accuracy of employer-reported data gives me confidence during high-stakes hiring.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

The site is ad-heavy, filled with pop-ups and clickbaity articles, which makes it feel less like a professional tool and can be distracting for employees doing their research.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Salary.com's CompAnalyst to compare pay scales with accurate employer-reported data and for salary budget planning. It automates incentive and merit increase calculations, eliminates 'gut-feeling' pay, and helps set defensible salary bands, ensuring compliance with transparency laws.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for your review! We’re glad that you are getting the data you need to remain compliant while making competitive pay decisions.

We appreciate the feedback about our pop-ups. You can disable them by checking the “Don’t show me again” box at the bottom of the pop-up, which should prevent them from appearing in the future.

 ### 18. Outstanding Service Boosts Compensation Benchmarking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

 ### 19. Easy to Learn, Reliable Taxonomy, and Flexible Data Downloads

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

It’s easy to learn and use. It’s built on a robust taxonomy that has proven reliable over the years. I also appreciate that there are multiple ways to download the data for other purposes, which makes it more flexible to work with.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

Sometimes there are gaps in the data, and I notice this more often when working with European or more remote countries. In contrast, the US data is quite detailed and generally reliable.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Salary.com provides a reliable foundation for building our compensation frameworks. The data is collected regularly from dependable sources, then filtered, vetted, and documented in a clear, logical way. Without current, trustworthy market data, we would be unable to maintain sound compensation structures and ensure our pay decisions are well supported.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for your review! We’re thrilled that we have been able to provide you with the market data you need to make confident compensation decisions for so long.

We appreciate your feedback regarding international data. We recommend reaching out to your Customer Success Team when needing this; they can help explore our global surveys to see if there are good options for you.

 ### 20. Helpful tool for planning

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah S. | Sr. Compensation Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

Our market pricing process is so much easier with CompAnalyst and we have starting to use it for modeling out our salary structures. They continue to come out with new features, even if it's just a new widget for the home screen. The JobArchitect module makes it very easy to view and compare job descriptions as well as set up workflows for the approval. The client support is always great too. Whether it's on the business side or the technical side, our support team is always there to answer questions and support where needed.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

It would be nice to have a little bit more customization such as the ability to rename standard fields to align with what those fields are referred to as internally. I would also like the structure modeling feature to be a little more robust for when you are looking to make changes to the entire structure. However, it is extremely easy to use when just doing the annual review.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The tool is currently helping us review differences in jobs across different countries.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thanks for your review! We’re pleased to hear that you are using CompAnalyst to model salary structures. It’s also great that you have been having a positive experience with JobArchitect and our support team.

We appreciate your feedback regarding greater customization needs. You can share your ideas directly with our product team via the Product Ideas tab in the Community (available when logged in). For any other questions, your Customer Success Team is always happy to help!

 ### 21. Efficient Salary Benchmarking with Robust Features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Griffin B.

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I use Salary.com for finding comparable salaries for roles similar to mine, which helps me check for competitive benchmarks and understand my value. I like the ability to upload a list of jobs and have it use AI to match those jobs, along with the flexibility to use some human involvement to get the right matches. The search function and the large database of roles are great, as are the export and import functions with easily followable directions. The customer success rep was very helpful, and his live demo allowed us to get so much more value out of the product. It makes the whole process faster and more efficient, saving me time compared to doing these things manually.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

I would like there to be an easier way to refresh data and alerts that could let me know when our company may be falling behind market salaries in our industry. If it could use some prediction and analytics to show us which roles are at risk or give us salary recommendations for low, medium, and high performers that would be awesome.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Salary.com to find comparable salaries, calculate compensation, and benchmark against the market. It aggregates data, making it searchable and faster, saving me time. I like the AI matching, search, large database, and import/export functions, all of which streamline my role analysis.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for the detailed review! It’s great to hear that you are getting value out of so many of our core features and found our Customer Success Team very helpful.

Your feedback regarding the data, alerts, and prediction analytics is very insightful. We invite you to leave this feedback in the Product Ideas tab in the Community, where it can reach our development team directly.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

Nothing at the present time.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Salary.com for compensation benchmarking. It helps correct costs for employees, target industry percentiles, and be competitive with offers. It's easy to use, integrates with our payroll, and the support is very helpful, especially during urgent projects.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ana M. | HRIS Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I appreciate that Salary.com combines reliable compensation data with user-friendly tools that help organizations make more informed, equitable pay decisions. What stands out most to me is the balance between deep market analytics and practical, actionable insights. It’s a platform that gives HR teams the confidence to create fair and competitive compensation structures.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

One area for improvement is the user interface—it’s powerful, but some features take a little time to get used to or require deeper navigation. Once you understand the workflow, it’s great, but the learning curve can be noticeable.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves pay transparency, pay equity, job architecture alignment, and competitive benchmarking challenges—helping organizations build fair, consistent, data-backed compensation structures.

 ### 24. Great Experience with Salary.com and CompAnalyst

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennie L. | Senior Compensation Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

What I like best about Salary.com is the combination of their knowledgeable team and the quality of their data. Every representative I’ve interacted with has been extremely accommodating, professional, and well-versed in answering any questions I’ve had about Salary.com and CompAnalyst. They make the process feel seamless and provide a level of customer support that truly stands out. In addition, I really appreciate the reliable and comprehensive compensation data Salary.com offers, which makes it much easier to do my work with confidence and accuracy.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

As a compensation professional who has used other compensation management platforms, I’ve noticed that Salary.com/CompAnalyst doesn’t feel quite as modern or streamlined in comparison. At times it takes several clicks to reach the information I need, and I would appreciate a more user-friendly design with a smoother, updated feel.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't have any current issues/problems that Salary.com is currently solving.

**Official Response from Ashley Iannuzzi:**

> ank you for your review, Jennie! Glad to hear you are enjoying working with CompAnalyst’s compensation data. Thank you for your comments about the support team. We pride ourselves on the excellent service we have and in fact it is a major competitive advantage. We often hear just how user-friendly and intuitive the tool is and would like you to experience that as well. We’ll reach out to get some feedback. ### 25. High Quality Customer Success Specialist

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hannah M. | HR Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

As an HR Consultant, having a great Customer Service team makes all of the difference in making sure I'm making the best decisions and doing quality work on behalf of my clients. Sari is always incredibly knowledgeable and prompt. I've really enjoyed working with her and appreciate how she allows me to show up for my clients as best as I can.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

I have limited feedback about the tool itself. The majority of my struggle with it is simply to get the most out of it, you someone to build out the full capabilities, which our teams most often don't have time to do.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping us set salary bands for our organization. Historically, they've been using a variety of market data that we haven't felt is very accurate as each data source varies greatly. We're hoping this is the most accurate data on the market to ensure we're paying people competitively and fairly.

**Official Response from Alexander Bishop:**

> Thank you for the five-star review! We’re happy you’re using CompAnalyst to set salary bands for your organization. We appreciate your kind words about our support team—they’re key to our success. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to your Customer Success Team as they’re always happy to assist!

 ### 26. Tailored Compensation Insights with Easy Set-Up

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marina A.

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I greatly appreciate Salary.com for its ability to allow me to tailor search results to specific geographical areas down to the zip code, which is unique and highly useful for precise compensation analysis. The feature that enables customization based on company size and industry makes it exceedingly versatile for my needs. Having relevant salary comparisons accessible in the markets where hiring takes place is invaluable, particularly using the CompAnalyst tool from Salary.com. Additionally, I find the client success partners to be incredibly approachable and supportive, always ready to conduct custom surveys that further enhance the tailored insights I receive. I also love how easy the setup and login process is, making initial access to Salary.com straightforward and trouble-free.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

I dislike that niche job titles are not always readily available for wage comparisons on Salary.com.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Salary.com for compensation analysis, job description development, and salary comparison by location and industry, making hiring much more targeted with market-relevant data.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

 ### 27. Flexible Data Views with Powerful Grouping Options

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

All the different ways to view data, and how many different ways it can be organized and grouped. Integration was really easy. Everyone has been very helpful throughout the process.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

A lot of things to sort and sift through right off the bat, can be a little intimidating when first logging in and seeing everything.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to have the data imported as frequently as needed saves us the effort of manually putting it together from outside sources and sending it to our prior analyst. Helps keep the data up to date and more accurate as well.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for your review! We’re glad you were able to smoothly integrate our platform and that you are saving time on importing data manually.

Thank you for your feedback. Your Customer Success Manager is always happy to assist, please feel free to reach out with any questions. You are also welcome to leave suggestions for improvement via the Product Ideas tab in the Community.

 ### 28. Transparent, Promo-Free Experience with Quick, Punctual Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Naveen D. | Product Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

The best thing is that it’s transparent and has no promotional content. The response from the salary.com team is also quick and punctual. Overall, the process is quite good.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

On salary.com, not all location options are provided. For example, if I want to check salary analytics for India, the country option for India isn’t available. This is something they need to work on and improve.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One problem is understanding the salary ranges for a job designation, and the range gauge can be a little tough to figure out. By using salary.com, I can easily find and understand the salary range.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for your review! It’s great to hear that we have helped solve your issues with finding accurate salary ranges.

If you are looking for global data, we recommend reaching out to your Customer Success Manager. They will be able to help you explore options so you can find the data you need.

 ### 29. Enhances Wage Competitiveness with Detailed Insights

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jared S. | Director of Agency Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I like all of the categorization around industry and skills that I can look at to give me a better picture of what things are worth in which markets. It helps us to stay competitive on wage in our industry and feel confident about winning and retaining talent. The use of Salary.com allows us to do comp and wage band adjustments and sanity checks effectively. Once we got past the initial setup, it's now pretty straightforward to use.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

Sometimes certain skills seem to disproportionately affect how much someone's wage is. It was a little bit of work upfront to get position profiles all set up and uploaded.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Salary.com to stay competitive on wages and confidently win and retain talent.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for sharing your feedback! We’re glad our platform has increased your confidence in attracting and retaining top talent.

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

It provides very thorough information in a very easy to use format. Really extensive data across a lot of industries. I've never had any problem finding data for any job in any particular scope.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

I am not a huge fan of the new AI tools, but that isn't limited to salary.com to be honest. I'm not convinced the outcomes from the AI are better, or even as good, as my own efforts to answer my own questions. That said, I recognize I may just be old...

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The absolute thoroughness of the data has made it so I only need to use Salary.com.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for the 5-star review! It’s great to hear our data is giving you the insights you need.

We appreciate your feedback about our AI tools. We’re striving to constantly improve these features, so if you have any suggestions for improvement, we encourage you to leave feedback via the Product Ideas tab in the Community.

 ### 31. Essential Tool for Compensation Benchmarking

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manasi S.

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I use Salary.com for checking salary ranges and compensation benchmarking, which is really helpful when we need to retain a critical resource or hire for a new position by providing the market standard and an average of CTC. I like the portal, the filter options, the recommendations, and the overall analysis that directly impacts my decision-making about hires or retention cases. Also, the initial setup is easy, and even creating a new account is quick.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

Nothing that comes to my mind at the moment

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Salary.com for checking salary ranges and compensation benchmarking. It helps when retaining critical resources or hiring for new positions by providing market standards and average CTC, which is very helpful.

 ### 32. Insightful Salary Insights, Needs More Company Data

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Krishna D.

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I like the honest feedback and reviews provided by employees on Salary.com from all over India. It gives a real picture of what companies are currently offering, which is helpful because salaries fluctuate due to demand and supply. The initial setup of Salary.com was very simple.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

I don't think Salary.com should only rely on user-provided salary information. It would be better if companies were required to share their salary offerings as per job roles, rather than just relying on data from users.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Salary.com to understand job roles and the salaries they offer. It provides me with honest feedback and reviews from employees across India, giving a real picture of current salaries based on demand and supply.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for sharing your feedback! We’re glad to hear that you found the platform easy to set up and helpful for understanding job roles and salary ranges across India.

Just to clarify, our compensation data is all HR-reported data from top commercially available surveys. None of our data in CompAnalyst comes from employees or is crowd sourced.

 ### 33. Reliable Data and Easy Navigation with Great Market Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Antonia M. | Board Member, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

Reliable data, easy to navigate, good industry and market insights. I use it all the time for helping to determine rates for new postings, promotions, and annual increases.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

Integration with our roles should be easy but encountered a few hiccups. Nothing major, just a minor inconvenience. Minuscule compared to the value of everything else.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making sure we are well positioned in the market when it comes to compensation. Eliminating any gaps and/or issues with pay equity.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for the 5-star review! It’s great that we are helping you feel externally competitive and internally equitable.

We’re also glad to hear you managed to integrate your roles. If you have any feedback on how we can improve this, we welcome you to leave suggestions in the Product Ideas tab in the Community.

 ### 34. Essential for Salary Insights, Needs More Timely Updates

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Etibar A. | Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I like how Salary.com lets me break down salary information based on hourly or annual compensation, and also by the year of experience and location. It's quite user-friendly and straightforward to set up, which makes it easy to gather detailed information about salary rates, job descriptions, and company details.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

Sometimes the ranges are too broad, salary information is outdated, or job descriptions don’t match up with the projects. Therefore, this information should be updated regularly for fast-changing roles.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Salary.com to analyze salary data by location, job roles, and descriptions. It helps me gather salary information, understand job descriptions, and learn about companies posting jobs. I appreciate the breakdown of salaries by hourly, annual, experience, and location.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for your review! It’s great that you are finding our platform intuitive and getting value out of our comprehensive dataset.

We recommend reaching out to your Customer Success Manager about SalaryIQ, which offers real-time job posting data. They’d be happy to walk through it with you.

 ### 35. Ideal for Competitive Salary Analysis, Needs More Local Data

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew H. | Accounting Restaurant Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I like that with Salary.com, we can research and look at local data to determine the best salary to offer. This helps us ensure we get the best candidates to apply, which is crucial in an industry with a high turnover rate. The initial setup was also very simple, which made getting started easier.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

The local data is tough in the eastern Carolina market due to this area being smaller than a suburban community so our feedback is very limited in comparison to other bigger cities like Raleigh and Virginia Beach.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Salary.com to research similar job postings, compare pay structures, and understand local competition to attract long-term hires in a high turnover industry.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for your review! We’re glad that our platform is helping you feel confident in your ability to attract top talent.

Thank you for your feedback. We offer industry-specific surveys, IPAS and Compdata, as well as SalaryIQ, which offers real-time job posting data. We recommend asking your Customer Success Manager about these products if you would like to learn more!

 ### 36. Comprehensive Data with Room for Support Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zeke Z.

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I like how clear the information is returned and how everything can be accompanied with a chart within the tool. It's helpful when I want to see how pay range varies for Janitors throughout different states, as I can get a comprehensive list of this information from both raw data and bar charts.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

I am not sure if others have this issue, but being able to speak with our account manager seems to be harder than expected for me. One way to improve this would be to add an AI assistant to our account that can either answer questions or escalate it to someone that can help.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Salary.com to extract comprehensive job data, eliminating line-by-line searches online. It offers clear information and charts, making it easy to compare pay ranges across states.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for your detailed feedback! We’re glad you’re finding the platform helpful for comparing pay ranges.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Wholesale | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

It’s helpful for benchmarking different jobs.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

Job titles that once existed can be removed without notice, and previously available positions may no longer appear. This creates challenges when we have an Excel sheet with existing titles and need to find new roles that closely match the company's current job titles.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The dataset provided helped with benchmarking, ensuring that all employees are compensated fairly and paid at a competitive market rate.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for your review! We’re happy to hear that you are confidently benchmarking competitive and fair pay for your employees with our data.

We appreciate your feedback regarding job titles not appearing. We would recommend that you contact your Customer Success Manager as they will be happy to help you find matching job titles that reflect any updates.

 ### 40. Outstanding Support from Melissa Makes a Great Product Even Better

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Pharmaceuticals | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

Personally, it's been the support from Melissa, she has been a team player with all of our companies' requests. The product is great, but the support from Melissa has made the experience so much better. Any issues we have she's quick to fix or address but also has been so helpful in helping us learn how to navigate any new changes or things that we haven't noticed.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

It seems that the workbooks for the Merit cycle sometimes have a lot of hidden issues in the back that aren't easy to identify until later in a cycle.

Automation

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for your review! It’s wonderful to hear that you are having such a positive experience with your Customer Success Manager.

 ### 41. Comprehensive Compensation Data and Outstanding Support Make Salary.com a Standout Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

What I like the most about Salary.com is the breadth and organization of its compensation data. For markets like the United States and Spain, the platform covers a wide variety of industries and roles, clearly structured by sector and subsector. The ability to filter by region within a country, company size, and to view compensation by percentiles provides an excellent benchmark to evaluate how competitive a salary is.

Another strong advantage is that each data point is tied to a detailed job description, which makes it easier to validate whether the market data actually matches the responsibilities of the employee’s role. I also value the possibility to create blended profiles for hybrid positions by assigning percentages to multiple roles to determine compensation more accurately.

Finally, the onboarding and support experience has been excellent. The initial training was very comprehensive, and every time I’ve opened a ticket, support has been responsive and helpful, even offering additional guidance when needed.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

Because the tool is so robust, some features are not immediately intuitive and occasionally require checking the help resources or opening a support ticket to fully understand how to use them. That said, the support team has always been helpful when questions arise, which mitigates most of the friction.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We transitioned from having market data from recruitment agencies' reports to reliable data that generated a positive impact on the compensation fairness perceived by our team.
The information has also helped us to make important decisions

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for the detailed five-star review! We’re glad you’re finding value in our broad market data coverage and hybrid job feature, and that your experience with our support team has been positive.

 ### 42. Salary.com's CompAnalyst is a vital tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Troy C. | Chief Human Resources Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I began using Salary, com's CompAnalyst many years ago when I was an HR department of one and was managing employee compensation entirely manually. What I found in CompAnalyst is exactly what they promote -- a comprehensive compensation management platform that helps organizations manage employee pay effectively. It was an easy platform to implement, and using CompAnalyst has now saved me hundreds of hours of manual work over the course of my career. It's an intuitive platform that's easy to use and provides the intelligence necessary to effectively manage compensation in a data-driven environment. And when situations arise when help is needed, Salary'com's customer service is quick to respond and ready to help. I cannot speak more highly of the platform.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

I have found no downsides to working with Salary.com and CompAnalyst.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Salary.com allows our organization to have access to a large amount of compensation data right at our fingertips.

**Official Response from Alexander Bishop:**

 ### 43. My Experience with Salary.com

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I like the easy accesible data but the site definitely has some flaws.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

The market limitations on some jobs are definitely still there and it seems to have not improved at all which is kind of ridiculous.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a good resource when I want to compare salaries for jobs in different markets and offers a good basis of job descriptions for roles.

**Official Response from Ashley Iannuzzi:**

> Christopher, thank you for the 5-star review! It it great to hear you find CompAnalyst a good resource for when you want to compare salaries for your company's jobs in different markets and when developing job descriptions. Many of our customers would agree that a major benefit to the tool is just how easy it is to use. Job titles are constantly changing so if you are having trouble finding the right role, look at the job description as this is the best practice for matching to your company jobs. ### 44. Reliable Salary Insights, Though Some Pay Data Feels Locked

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Syed S. | Sales manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

This makes me very easy to understand what basically my role should pay based on job title, experience, location, and skills. In this the data feels very reliable and well-structured, which helps me in setting fair salaries, negotiating pay, or planning career growth.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

In some cases it feels like data is locked for getting an understanding on what the exact pay is

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In today's time it is solving the problem of giving the understanding of what the pay must be related to an job or any job role.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for your review! We’re glad you are getting value out of our market data.

We appreciate your feedback. If you wish to get deeper insights, we encourage you to get in touch with our team to explore our offerings.

 ### 45. Reliable Compensation Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elcin A. | HR Generalist II, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

The compensation benchmarking tools are easy to use and provide a clear breakdown by location, experience, and job level. I’ve found Salary.com to be a reliable resource. The platform offers detailed, data-driven insights that make it much easier to benchmark roles.

The compensation reports are clear and customizable. I also appreciate how user-friendly the interface is. In addition, the customer service is great and willing to help.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

It would be great if they can expand the job types for benchmarking.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us finding reliable compensation data for our jobs, and we use them quite often. It's our primary resource.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for your five-star review! We’re so glad that you are finding our benchmarking tools easy and intuitive to use, and that you have had a positive experience with our Customer Success Team.

 ### 46. Amazing experience with Salary.com. I will always recommend to other HR professionals

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Opeyemi K. | People & Culture Generalist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

Salary.com has been an invaluable resource and my go-to platform for all things compensation-related. Whether I’m conducting market research for new roles, evaluating annual compensation adjustments, or benchmarking general salary trends, it’s consistently reliable, accurate, and easy to use.

One of the standout features is its customizability. I can build and analyze hybrid or unique roles, which is critical in today’s evolving job market. It doesn’t force you into rigid templates but instead allows for nuanced role configurations, helping ensure that compensation decisions are fair, competitive, and aligned with market data.

The user interface is intuitive, and the insights are presented in a way that’s easy to digest while still being detailed enough for HR professionals, hiring managers, and executives alike. The ability to factor in industry, geography, company size, and job level makes it a comprehensive tool for strategic workforce planning.

Overall, Salary.com is more than just a salary calculator—it’s a powerful compensation analysis platform that supports both tactical decisions and long-term talent strategies. Highly recommended for anyone involved in recruitment, HR, or organizational planning.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

One area that could be improved is the breadth and clarity of job titles. Some roles, especially niche or emerging ones, aren’t always straightforward to find. This often requires some creativity in matching or customizing roles—which, while made possible by their flexible platform, can slow down the process or leave room for interpretation.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Salary.com has been my one-stop resource for compensation analysis—whether I’m evaluating salaries for new hires, reviewing annual pay adjustments, or simply staying on top of market trends. It offers a rich set of data and tools that are highly customizable, allowing me to tailor salary benchmarks for hybrid or non-traditional roles, which is a huge advantage in today’s dynamic job landscape.

**Official Response from Alexander Bishop:**

> Thank you for the five-star review! We’re happy you’re leveraging CompAnalyst as a one-stop resource for compensation analysis. We appreciate your thoughtful feedback. ### 47. Robust library of positions with data

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mary G. | Executive Director of Strategic HR Programs & Initiatives, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

The way you can cut the data and weight it based on the job matches/descriptions and geographical locations is very beneficial to increase the accuracy of the benchmarking. Robust library with positions that you can parcel out to fit our industry and needs.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

Would be helpful to have more positions that are industry specific to higher education.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The pay equity feature is helpful and will become increasingly more important in the future.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for the 5-star review! We’re glad you are getting so much value from our data customization and pay equity features.

If you are looking for industry specific roles, we recommend our surveys, Compdata for US and IPAS for global data. Please feel free to reach out to your Customer Success Manager to learn more!

 ### 48. Salary.com Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cristina G. | HR Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

The system is very easy to use. I don't use it often and running reports is esay. I can can search for salary information based on job title, location, industry, experience, and education.
The job matching tool is very helpful when hiring new employees or creating new roles within our company.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

While they have multiple options everthing is a new plan.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can prepare my report all on one sheet vs running seperate reports for each department.

**Official Response from Alexander Bishop:**

> Cristina, thank you for your 5-star review. We’re glad that you have found CompAnalyst helpful due to its ease of use and extensive salary information. The ability to filter data by title, location, industry, education, and experience is a feature we're proud of! ### 49. Not everything they promised

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

Seems easy to use, seems to offer a lot of solutions

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

Customer Support Responsiveness: Response times are very slow. It can take weeks to get a response or a solution to an issue. Follow-up from support is inconsistent, and we often have to chase them for updates.

Support Quality: When we do get responses, the answers are often unclear or don’t resolve the issue. The support team asks complex questions instead of starting with simple ones to diagnose the problem.

Website Usability: The product’s website is not as easy to use as demonstrated. The demo shows a smooth experience, but when trying to use it independently, it’s more confusing and less intuitive.

Product Support Materials: Documentation and support materials are confusing and not particularly helpful, making it difficult to troubleshoot issues independently.

Hidden or Unexpected Costs: Additional costs for features or support were not clearly communicated prior to signing the contract. We have encountered unexpected charges for features we assumed were included.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Purpose: We needed a compensation tool to help benchmark our jobs and provide a user-friendly platform that supports growth of our compensation programs.

Organization Context: As a small organization with limited internal expertise in compensation, we rely on the tool and its support to guide us in developing fair and competitive pay structures.

Job Complexity: Many of our roles are blends of multiple positions or are niche in nature. Therefore, we need software that can assist us in accurately benchmarking these unique roles.

Support and Guidance: Beyond the software itself, strong support and guidance are essential to help us implement and grow our compensation strategies effectively.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that parts of your experience haven’t met expectations, particularly around support responsiveness, clarity, and usability. Your input is invaluable—it helps us improve our products and service. Your comments have already been shared with our support and product teams as we work to enhance response times, communication, and the overall customer experience.

We’d love to connect directly to make sure your needs are fully met. You can log in and, under your profile, reach out to your Customer Success team directly—they’re here to help and support you every step of the way.

 ### 50. Essential Tool for Accurate Labor Price Analysis

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

As a Buyer in the Procurement Department of a Federal contractor, salary.com CompAnalyst is an invaluable tool for labor price analysis purposes. When developing an RFP pricing template, salary.com helps us determine which qualifications and job experience best fit our needs. Once proposals are received, comparing the hourly rates displayed in CompAnalyst to those submitted by bidders helps in determining a fair and reasonable price.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

CompAnalyst does not have OCONUS rates. This would be very helpful for Federal contractors that perform a good amount of work overseas.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Price analysis for single-source proposals containing LCATs is very difficult, since competition is not possible. In these situations, CompAnalyst is often the only valid method for price analysis.

**Official Response from Alex Bell:**

> Thank you for the 5-star review! We’re glad to hear that CompAnalyst has proven invaluable in your labor price analyses. We hope you continue to enjoy using our platform.

We appreciate your feedback regarding OCONUS rates. We encourage you to share this suggestion in the Product Ideas tab in the Community! Feedback there directly guides our future enhancements.
