As a student user of Sakai, it provided everything I needed to be connected to my classrooms inside and outside of the classroom as well. I used CTools (powered by Sakai) at the University of Michigan as both a student and an instructor. The program served as an easy way to communicate important announcements between students and instructors, share documents, track grades, and facilitate collaboration between students. The ability to record and manage student grades using the tool was probably the most valuable feature for me as an instructor.

The site seems to have a lot of problems with crashing and there were several times I went to use it and it was unavailable due to either maintenance or problems within the site.
