"Access Management using Sailpoint"
4.5/5
What do you like best about SailPoint?

Sailpoint streamlines the process of raising requests for several access or apps for myself or my entire team.

The workflow even identifies the steps on which the request is currently at so that I can ask the respective approver to work on that effectively.I use it mostly for internal use and every time a new joiner is on-boarded. We have a set of apps and accesses needed to work on the Development team and all of it is taken care using Sailpoint. The integration is proving to be better than the usual JIRA or ITHELP requests. What do you dislike about SailPoint?

The managers have to review who has access to what can feel old-fashioned and confusing. It can make a simple task harder than it should be. Sailpoint allows to make the tool do almost anything with custom code, that can backfire. When it's time to update to a new version, all that special code can break, creating a lot of extra, unexpected work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Identity Management, But Requires Expert Setup"
4.5/5
What do you like best about SailPoint?

I like SailPoint for its automated identity governance and role-based access control, which make handling employee onboarding and offboarding effortless across our systems. The automated access certifications and out-of-the-box compliance reporting save us a ton of time during security audits. Additionally, standard connectors for major platforms made getting the initial baseline connected pretty straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SailPoint?

I find the initial setup and deep custom configuration challenging due to a steep learning curve, requiring significant developer effort and technical training. Additionally, the overall licensing cost is high, and the error messages during failed workflow aggregations can be vague and tricky to troubleshoot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Identity Governance & Access provisioning made easy by Sailpoint"
4/5
What do you like best about SailPoint?

I like SailPoint's strong identity governance capability, which provides centralized visibility, automated access control, and auditability. These features enforce governance controls while delivering clear and auditable evidence across user access management, helping to reduce the overall risk of identity-related threats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SailPoint?

Sometimes it can be complex to implement in hybrid infrastructure and legacy applications. In these situations, it requires customized connectors and ongoing tuning to make it work. I wasn't part of the implementation team, but I think they spent around 4-6 months to completely roll this out to production. I guess it was not easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Access & Identity Management with a Clean Approval Process"
5/5
What do you like best about SailPoint?

You can manage access management and identity for multiple enterprise applications all in one place. The clean approval process makes it easy for application owners to review incoming requests and grant access as they come in. It also offers support and integration with a wide range of applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SailPoint?

Although Sailpoint is great at providing identity management, it comes with a lot of complexity when it comes to learning the tool, implementing the base platform, and integrating it with each application. As a result, it takes a lot of cycles from both the Sailpoint and application teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
