What do you like best about SailPoint?

I like how it creates transparency and consolidates employee profiles, while also enabling automation for onboarding and offboarding. Overall, it makes our lives easier by streamlining processes, enabling automation, and reducing manual work. The support team is great as well—they usually respond quickly and provide solutions in a short time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Nothing major at the moment, but the reporting tools within ISC aren’t very user-friendly, which makes it difficult to pull statistical data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Access Management with SailPoint"
5/5
What do you like best about SailPoint?

I find SailPoint incredibly helpful for role and access management, as it simplifies the process of requesting access for certain apps or roles. It’s very automatic; just a few clicks, and it gets everything done, which I appreciate as it saves me time. I really like the feature that allows me to request access for someone else, so if I know my team will need something, I can request it for all of them. The initial setup of SailPoint was really easy, with the majority of it handled by UT, but for our team, it was pretty simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SailPoint?

Nothing much, i like it overall Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Automation of access by roles: more efficiency and less risks"

The automation of access through role-based permission assignment and policies significantly reduces operational time and, above all, decreases the risks of unauthorized access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SailPoint?

When errors occur, the search for technical documentation is very limited, if not nonexistent. Additionally, they could improve the response times of their technical support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Massive Library of Pre-Built Connectors for Complex Legacy Environments"
4/5
What do you like best about SailPoint?

Its' massive library of pre-built connectors for complex legacy environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SailPoint?

The ongoing cost. The software license is steep, but the real expense comes from needing specialized developers on retainer just to rewrite custom scripts whenever an update breaks your integration workflows. On top of that, the administrative UI is a little clunky and feels like software built fifteen years ago Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"SailPoint Delivers Scalable, Audit-Ready Identity Governance"
4.5/5
What do you like best about SailPoint?

We use SailPoint primarily for identity governance, and it has been very effective in giving us a clear, centralized view of who has access to what across our environment. Its strongest value for us is in access certifications, audit readiness, and policy-based controls, which are critical in a regulated enterprise.

SailPoint has also helped us automate joiner, mover, and leaver processes, reducing manual access management and limiting excess or orphaned access over time. The role- and policy-driven model supports our least-privilege goals and separation-of-duties requirements, and its integrations work well across hybrid and cloud systems.

This isn’t a lightweight IAM tool; it’s built for scale, governance, and long-term identity hygiene. For large organizations that need structured, auditable access control and sustained risk reduction, SailPoint has proven to be a solid, reliable platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SailPoint?

Our onboarding experience wasn’t the best. Our system integrator wrote custom code instead of using out-of-the-box functionality. In addition, the SI used AI to try to translate data from our homegrown IGA, and it wasn’t accurate in how it lined up the data. Then, once we were onboarded, we lost our sales rep. Shortly after that, the customer service team was turned into a pool of resources rather than dedicated support, so we weren’t given the customer support or guidance we needed. However, this has been resolved and now being supported appropriately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Identity Management with Powerful Automation"
5/5
What do you like best about SailPoint?

I use SailPoint as the Identity Management System for identity, governance, and administration at my enterprise level healthcare organization. I like that SailPoint allows us to set up access automation, reducing the time spent on provisioning and deprovisioning accounts. The ability to automate these processes is very valuable, saving many hours of work and ultimately money each week. I appreciate using Role Based Access Control, which ensures that people are given the least access required and can demonstrate this to auditors. I also love the flexibility to create automation and continually build, grow, and improve it, enabling our identity and access structure to scale with the organization. SailPoint is connected to various applications like Active Directory, Entra ID, Outlook, and Epic, and it assists with all of them. The vendor provided hands-on expert help during the implementation, which was essential given the complexity of the setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SailPoint?

SailPoint's built-in AI agent, the Harbor Pilot, is very basic and rudimentary compared to agents like Copilot. It seems to be a work in progress still. It could be improved to be more of an Identity Copilot, with visibility into the status of connected applications and identity states. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
