I actually like that even though Sage X3 is a really complicated system, the documentation is very clean and refined, which makes it very easy to implement. With such a big system, that's quite impressive. It becomes valuable because it's simple to figure out how the connection happens when building integrations, which for a big system can usually be very tricky. I've struggled a bit with getting what's called Cycura to run on the local host. It would be nice if there was some general documentation on that. I use Sage X3 as our ERP, quality control, and accounting software. I like that it integrates manufacturing and accounting seamlessly without any problems. I also find it easy to use and appreciate that it saves all our history. Additionally, the reporting package SEI (Sage Enterprise Intelligence) is something I enjoy. The capabilities that it has for a manufacturing and shipping company are pretty vast. It really does run our entire company. So specific companies can get the perfect use case out of it. The UI isn't to confusing to use once you get used to it. The performance is entirely reliant on your specific server environment. I have not used any AI features yet, so I cannot spean on these features yet. The support is pretty solid overall. They get back to you pretty quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Sage X3? The initial learning curve is quite large. Especially as an admin coming into it with zero experience. I do not really like the idea of AI myself, but I have yet to use it within Sage X3, so I could be proven wrong. What problems is Sage X3 solving and how is that benefiting you? The ability to have both manufacturing and distribution handled within the same program is extremely helpful for our company. Having all of our accounting processes within the same program is also a very large boon. Sage X3 essentially runs our entire company and that is easily the best part about it. I did not work at the company before they went on to X3, but what I have heard from my colleagues has been positive aside from the initial learning curve. It serves as the source of record for many different systems and consolidates everything into one place, which is really helpful for us. For functions it can't handle natively, its ability to integrate well via API is great. There are third-party solutions that integrate well for features not available out of the box. This versatility means that even when something can't be done with the product itself, there's often a good alternative available. We've been able to streamline our logistics by integrating it with a modern cloud product. Additionally, it integrates with BeyondTrucks, which further enhances its utility for us. I like Sage X3 because it is very expansive, offering a lot of modules and tools that are really useful for our business. The hierarchy-based permissions and security profiles are great because they ensure all information is accessible unless administrators set certain limits. I like the report functionality of Sage X3. Although we're still trying to fine-tune it for our exact needs, I'm confident that once we enable it for our business, it'll help us track everything a lot easier. Because we are located in Jamaica, we have different use cases and needs than what the program was originally designed for, it seems. And so there has been a lot of fine tuning that we have had to do. To really get it to work for our unique use cases. Not easy at all. It was very difficult, and it took a long time. I believe one of the inherent downsides of X3 is the complexity/learning curve. True this is present for most platforms but the downside of flexibility in my opinion is complexity.
