## Sage Intacct Reviews
  ### 1. Robust Multi-Entity Support with Seamless User Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mikail S. | Software Implementation Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

I like how Sage Intacct provides a multi-entity friendly environment, which is a huge advantage for our complex multi-entity organization. The ability to migrate clients from QuickBooks to Sage Intacct saves us time and enhances efficiency with more robust reporting capabilities, especially in multi-entity scenarios. The out-of-the-box financial reports are impressive and surpass the legacy systems our clients previously used. Plus, Sage Intacct allows us to use the interactive custom report writer and visual explorer to tailor data displays within our environment. The implementation is fairly seamless given the platform's robustness, and managing user access is easy. It also allows us to get granular with client-specific access rights, which is very convenient.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

I would like to see them continue on the AI front. Right now, there needs to be more AI built directly into the system that you interact with in order to keep up with its competitors. The ability to use agentic AI and communicate directly with an AI agent in terms of updating information or even report building just by having a conversation explaining what you want to see within the system.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Sage Intacct solves complex multi-entity organization issues for me, offers me more robust reporting capabilities, and is a huge time efficiency saver.

**Official Response from Bethany McDermott:**

> Thank you for your insightful review! We're delighted to hear that Sage Intacct enhances your experience as an accountant and product implementation specialist. We appreciate your feedback on pricing for startups and feedback internally. It's great to know that our integration capabilities help your clients maintain their favorite automation tools while allowing for growth. Thank you for choosing Sage Intacct!

  ### 2. Powerful Financial Management with Real-Time Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohammad S. | Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

What I like best about Sage Intacct is its intuitive, cloud-based platform and powerful financial reporting capabilities. The customizable dashboards and real-time visibility into financial data make it easy to track performance and make informed decisions quickly. Automation of routine accounting tasks, such as approvals and reconciliations, helps save time and reduces manual errors. The ability to integrate with other business systems also improves efficiency and provides a more streamlined workflow across teams.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

Sage Intacct is a powerful platform, but some features can take time to learn and fully utilize. Certain customizations and reporting configurations may require extra effort, and additional modules can increase overall costs. However, these challenges are generally outweighed by the system's functionality and benefits.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sage Intacct helps solve challenges related to manual accounting processes, fragmented financial data, and limited visibility into business performance. By automating routine financial tasks and providing real-time reporting, it improves accuracy, saves time, and enables faster decision-making. The centralized platform makes it easier to manage financial operations, monitor key metrics, and collaborate across teams, resulting in increased efficiency and productivity.

  ### 3. Live Dashboards and Flexible Stock Reporting Keep Teams Aligned

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sara B. | Chief Financial Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

I really value the broad range of stock reports, and I like that I can also build more targeted, custom reports using the same underlying data. It’s especially useful that this information carries across different levels of the organization, so teams stay aligned and everyone is working from the same consistent view. On top of that, the dashboards update with live data, which makes it much easier to make decisions in the moment.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

While I like and appreciate the Budget repository, I wish the system were more intuitive when allocating an amount across 12 months in a way that reflects the total more accurately. Right now, that doesn’t happen because of rounding issues.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sage Intacct has been an immense benefit to our organization. Before we had the software, we relied on an outside accounting firm and were essentially at their mercy for data entry and financial reporting. Since implementing Sage Intacct, we’ve gone from a 4–6 week timeframe for receiving financials to closing our books and having financials within two weeks. The time savings and access to more immediate information have been our greatest benefits, especially when it comes to financial planning.

  ### 4. Cloud-First ERP Powerhouse with Helpful, Knowledgeable Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle B. | COO, Medical Devices, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

Sage Intacct is the best ERP if you’re looking for a cloud-first solution without all the red tape and difficult setup that other competitors require. I was able to onboard and set up Intacct myself for our small company, with only a little help directly from a Sage consultant. Their team members are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, which makes it easy to get questions answered and tailor the system to what you need. We were able to save tens of thousands by doing it this way, compared to going with Netsuite or SAP. Overall, it’s a truly heavy-duty ERP platform that can easily handle core financials.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

Sage isn’t as visually polished as, say, Xero, and it’s significantly more complex. You really have to get up to speed on the specific way Sage does things, and it can feel very rigid. If you aren’t careful during setup, testing, or the learning process, you can end up with erroneous data or annoying formatting that’s difficult to get rid of. It’s all in the name of data integrity and traceability, but if you prefer being able to clean up mistakes and keep everything tidy, that can be tricky in Sage.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sage integrates really well with many of the top apps out there and serves as a strong core financial platform. Once it’s up and running, it can help speed up back-office operations. That said, it’s best suited for teams that need more complex capabilities than Xero or Quickbooks offer out of the gate.

  ### 5. Powerful Integrations but Challenging Setup

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian V. | Controller, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

I like that Sage Intacct has many different integration partners. We integrate with Martus for budgeting and forecasting. We also integrate with Concur for electronic expense reporting and invoice processing. Since moving from a traditional account number structure to Sage Intacct's dimension structure, we've been able to improve our reporting and data collection significantly. The dynamic allocation tools have cut our processing time down each month and has allowed us to better explain how these costs impact each ministry area of our organization.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

Everything except accounts receivable can be handled at the top level, but accounts receivable (AR) has to be managed at the entity level, which is really confusing and makes it harder to track things down compared to when it's done at the top level. Also, the initial setup was quite a struggle; it was a huge conceptual change for my staff to move from the traditional account number structure to the dimension structure, which posed many challenges. We operate many separate entities that really are all part of one non profit but because of past history they remain separate reporting entities. The multi entity features of Sage Intacct has made this a very simple process to combine the necessary entities together for the external reporting. The only area where this has not worked well is in the AR module that requires everything to be done at the entity level so it takes more time to discover what entity the receivable is related to.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sage Intacct to get consolidated financial information and to integrate with tools like Martus and Concur for budgeting, forecasting, and expense reporting. We also have been able to connect our donor database in Salesforce to Sage to post our gift revenue directly from the donor database. When we moved to Sage Intacct we had separate vendor files for each of our ministries and we were able to move to one vendor file for all our ministries and get a better idea of our volumes we spend at each vendor and streamlined our 1099 processing. This changed reduced our 1099 processing costs and decreased our staff time in half.

  ### 6. Powerful Reporting and Reliable Performance with Sage Intacct

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve H. | Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

Sage Intacct offers multiple features that make it easy to filter data when building custom reports. It has significantly lightened the workload in our accounting department. In the past three years we’ve been with Sage, I can only recall one time the system went down, and even then it was only for about an hour. When we need support, they’re available to help and respond in a timely manner.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

The implementation of Sage was time consuming, but in the long run it was worth the effort. Getting to know the system takes a little effort, but once you know it you know it. The price is high, but it is worth it.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We moved from another accounting software that did not integrate well with our needs. The software did not allow us to account for certain aspects that we needed to. The implementation team for Sage was able to listen to us and come up with a solution that works very well for us.

  ### 7. Powerful Reporting and Integrations That Keep Work Moving

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daphne W. | Accounts Receivable Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

I love the Interactive Reporting Module. This lets me pull any kind of data from our system to better understand the metrics. I can create pivot tables, compare AP and AR data, and more within this module.
They also offer many classes for free to ensure you are utilizing the software to your company's needs. Many of these classes are CPE credit compatible.
The system is very rarely down to ensure you can continue working through even the toughest projects with no interruptions.
There are many integration opportunities as well. We are able to import and export data to our other systems. There has not been a system we have added yet that does not integrate with Intacct.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

There is nothing I dislike about the system itself. It would be helpful if support tickets were completed faster than the current wait time.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reporting. There's less excel tweaks when running reports. I can just download the reports in real-time with the data I need.

  ### 8. Flexible, Cost-Effective SaaS with Easy Integrations and Reliable Uptime

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rich B. | Associate VP Finance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

Sage Intacct is a very flexible, customizable product. The fact that it’s a SaaS product is also very helpful, since I’m able to access information from just about anywhere. Data integrations are easy to manage, and the end-user interface makes navigation a breeze. Overall, it’s very cost-effective. The system has also been consistently available and hasn’t been down since we started using it in 2019.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

Up to this point, we have not had any major issues with Sage Intacct or reasons to question our decision to make the switch. We are very happy with the product.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In our setting, we have multiple entities. Before switching to Sage Intacct, we would have to log out of one entity and log back into the next entity. With Sage Intacct, that process is gone. We can seamlessly and effortlessly move between entities. Also, we can access data securely from anyway instead of having to be on-site to access our data.

  ### 9. Sage Intacct Streamlined Our Accounting Processes Resulting in Savings

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura B. | Controller, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

Sage Intacct has a full suite of the functionality I need - AP, AR, purchasing, invoicing, etc. are all available to me based on my company's needs. We have gone from taking 3-4 months to close our books to less than 2 weeks. We also have greatly reduced our paper usage by being able to do so much more electronically (attaching invoices, paying by ACH, etc.); we have a huge vault that was full of filing cabinets of old documents - now we barely use one cabinet for a year's worth of documentation and everything else is online.
Personally, moving to Sage Intacct has allowed me to work from home a couple of days a week (this was not possible on our old, server-based software). I can be almost as effective from my home as I am when in the office with my staff. And saving the money and time on commuting is great.
I also really like that it is very cutting-edge and always introducing new features to keep up with technology, such as AI reading incoming invoices and automatically classifying and entering the relevant data. This saves on input errors and time retyping data.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

Getting used to navigating the menus in Sage Intacct was the worst part of the software when we first adopted it. I honestly didn’t think I’d ever remember all the steps needed to get to the functionality I wanted, but I eventually learned. Even now it still feels cumbersome, though I can get where I need to go fairly quickly.

I also don’t like the error messages. When you enter something and there’s an issue, the message you get is usually confusing and often includes code. I’m sure that’s helpful for programmers, but it doesn’t mean anything to me.

Reports are another area I struggle with. They’re really hard to understand, and it took me hours and hours to figure things out because it’s about as far from intuitive as you can imagine.

Finally, I dislike that you can’t really change the reporting defaults in Sage Intacct. It always defaults to one month and a calendar year. I wish it recognized that not everyone operates on a calendar year, and that a fiscal year is more important to me. I should be able to choose the default I want for reporting, but instead, every single time I pull data I have to override the default and enter different dates, which is annoying.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Sage Intacct, we struggled with being very paper-based and manual. Everything was input and printed and signed off with initials. Sage Intacct streamlined all reporting, journal entries, invoices, etc and allowed all permissions to be done electronically. This has saved hours of work, wasted paper, and missed authorizations.
Sage Intacct has also allowed much better visibility for our managers. Before we implemented it, mangers would receive paper reports several months after the activity took place, and they had no way of correcting issues. Now managers can see things on line whenever they wish, let me know if there is a problem and/or if they see costs getting out of control they can take action to correct this issue. This saves us money, wasted time and better management.

  ### 10. Sage Makes Multi-Grant Accounting Easy and Efficient

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicole W. | Administrative Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

Sage is incredibly helpful for us as a non-profit that works with multiple grants/funding sources. It was a huge step up from Quickbooks and has helped us to track and manage 50+ grants at a time with ease. The allocation application is a massive time saver, and the integration with ADP for our payroll is pretty seamless. They system has helped us to step up to the next level in our accounting processes by making it easy to create clear processes for check-writing and receiving payments.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

Sage is an incredibly expensive product, but if you can afford it, the system is worth it. Time and effort for onboarding is massive. You will need to be able to advocate for yourself if the jargon the onboarding team uses is foreign to you. Some onboarding team members were better than others. There is also a pretty big learning curve if you are coming from a simpler system, like Quickbooks.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were not able to manage all of our grants/funding sources through our previous accounting system. Sage has made it simple to track, report, and maintain all of our grants. Without Sage, we could not continue to grow effectively and continue to add additional levels of complexity in years to come.

  ### 11. Dimensions and Integrations Keep Our Financials Clean and Easy to Analyze

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sterling R. | Accounting Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

Moving from a system that did not have any dimensions, that has been one of the biggest helps for our organization. It keeps our chart of accounts much cleaner and allows us to analyze financials from different angles. It's marketplace and integrations are also a massive upgrade from Sage 100.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

Setting up reports or making seemingly small changes is a little less simple than I would like. My ability to use the platform is easy enough to move in and out of different modules, but if you want a report or a screen or setup to look a different way, it seems like there should be drag and drop options that are just not available. A lot of clicks to change small things.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Part of our problem with Sage 100 was that seemingly nothing was where you thought it should be. Because of that, it made our data feel less trustworthy and difficult to manage. We do not have that problem with Intacct. We know the financials are accurate and that it is capturing all the data we need.

  ### 12. Sage is a great accounting software.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph T. | AP Accounting Technician, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

Alright, buckle up, because Sage Intacct absolutely deserves this glowing review!

From the get-go, this cloud accounting software has been a game-changer for our business. We were drowning in spreadsheets and outdated systems, and Intacct swooped in like a superhero with a cape made of efficiency.

The real-time visibility it offers is incredible. We can now see exactly where we stand financially, drilling down into the details with ease. No more waiting for month-end reports that feel like ancient history! The customizable dashboards are fantastic – we've tailored them to show us the key metrics that matter most, making informed decisions a breeze.

What really sets Intacct apart is its robustness and scalability. As we've grown, it's grown with us, handling increasing complexity without a hiccup. The multi-dimensional reporting is a lifesaver, allowing us to analyze our data in ways we never thought possible. Seriously, slicing and dicing financial information has become… dare I say… enjoyable?

And let's talk integrations. Intacct plays nicely with so many other crucial business systems. This seamless connectivity has streamlined our workflows and eliminated so much manual data entry. It's like all our essential tools are finally speaking the same language.

Finally, the support team is top-notch. Whenever we've had a question (and let's be honest, with any new system there are always a few!), they've been responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. It feels like they're true partners in our success.

Honestly, if you're looking for a powerful, flexible, and future-proof accounting solution, look no further than Sage Intacct. It's not just software; it's a strategic asset that has significantly improved our financial operations. Five stars all the way! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

Okay, so while I'm a big fan, no system is perfect, right? If I had to nitpick something someone could dislike about Sage Intacct, it might be the initial learning curve and implementation.

Because it's such a robust and feature-rich platform, getting everything set up exactly how you want it and training your team can take a bit more time and effort upfront compared to simpler, less comprehensive solutions. It's not necessarily difficult, but it does require a commitment to the process. If a business is looking for something incredibly basic right out of the box with minimal setup, the depth of Intacct might feel a little overwhelming initially.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basically, it kicks a lot of the annoying parts of my job to the curb. Think mountains of invoices to type in? Intacct often grabs that info automatically – huge time-saver and way fewer typos. Chasing down who needs to approve what? It routes invoices electronically and pings people, so stuff doesn't get stuck on someone's desk for ages.

I can actually see what's going on with our bills in real-time, not just some dusty report at the end of the month. Need to know if we paid a certain vendor? Boom, it's right there. Got different parts of the company? Intacct keeps all those bills straight in one place, which is a lifesaver. Plus, it's got my back on catching mistakes like paying the same bill twice – that's always a good thing!

So, instead of drowning in paperwork and playing detective, I can actually get stuff done faster and more accurately. It makes my day way less chaotic and honestly, makes me feel like I'm actually contributing instead of just pushing paper. It's a solid tool that makes my AP life much easier.

  ### 13. User-Friendly ERP with Customizable Reports

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Naveen K. | Controllership - Accounts and Finance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

I find Sage Intacct user-friendly and easy to navigate. I like how we can customize reports by handling categories, trends, by department, classes, and in all dimensions, which helps us view balance sheets. I also appreciate features like bank reconciliations and consolidation modules, which assist in consolidating multiple currencies and multi-entities. Additionally, setting it up was easy, which I found really beneficial.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

The recurring entries aspect of Sage Intacct is a bit frustrating for me. It's not possible to post these entries on a daily basis, which limits flexibility. I would prefer if there was an option to have fixed recurring entries. Also, accessing KvaS recurring templates is not possible, which is limiting.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sage Intacct for consolidation models, day-to-day appointments, and creating invoices. It handles contacts, funds payable, cash applications, and bank reconciliations. It's user-friendly, easy to navigate, and helps customize reports for balance sheet viewing by various dimensions.

**Official Response from Brock Faucette:**

> Thanks so much for taking the time to review Sage Intacct. I'll take your feedback about the learning curve to our product team to see if there are new and innovative ways we can improve/accelerate onboarding. Please let us know if you ever need anything else!

  ### 14. User-Friendly ERP With Powerful Reporting and Multi-Entity Accounting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** अक्षय . | Senior Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

Sage Intacct is a user-friendly cloud-based ERP that provides strong financial reporting and multi-entity accounting capabilities. What I like most is the ability to create customized reports and dashboards, which helps management make informed decisions quickly. The system also streamlines month-end close activities through automated journal entries, approval workflows, and real-time visibility into financial data.
As part of the Record-to-Report process, I find the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and reporting modules particularly effective. The audit trail functionality, drill-down capabilities, and ease of accessing supporting documents significantly improve accuracy and efficiency. Being cloud-based, it allows users to work from anywhere while maintaining strong controls and security.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

Sage Intacct is a strong financial management platform, but some areas could be improved. Certain reports and dashboards require a learning curve to customize effectively, especially for new users. During high-volume month-end close activities, navigation between modules can sometimes feel less intuitive than expected. Additionally, some advanced functionalities and integrations may require additional configuration or support, which can increase implementation time. Enhancing user interface consistency and simplifying report customization would further improve the overall user experience.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sage Intacct helps us solve the challenge of managing and analyzing financial performance across multiple business dimensions. In our organization, we use dimensions such as physician specialties to track revenue, expenses, and profitability by specialty. This allows management to identify high-performing areas, allocate resources more effectively, and make data-driven business decisions.
The platform also streamlines month-end close activities by providing real-time financial data, automated workflows, and detailed audit trails. Instead of relying on manual spreadsheets, we can generate accurate reports quickly and drill down into transactions when investigating variances. This has improved reporting efficiency, increased data accuracy, and provided greater visibility into the financial health of the business.

  ### 15. Building the Future of Nonprofit Finance

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michelle S. | Chief Financial Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

What I like best about Sage Intacct is its ability to provide real-time financial reporting and customizable dashboards that help support informed decision-making. As a nonprofit finance leader, I also appreciate its strong fund accounting capabilities, flexibility, and the ability to streamline financial processes while maintaining strong internal controls.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

While Sage Intacct is a powerful system, some processes still require multiple steps and can be more complex than expected for end users. There is also an opportunity to make certain workflows more intuitive and improve the user experience for staff who are not finance professionals.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sage Intacct has improved our ability to access timely, reliable financial information and produce meaningful reports for leadership and the Board. It has strengthened our internal controls, streamlined financial processes, and reduced the time spent on manual reporting, allowing the finance team to focus more on strategic planning and decision-making.

  ### 16. Sage Intacct Just Works—Fantastic Dashboards and Reporting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charles L. | Accounting Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

Sage Intacct just works. There does not seem to be a need for workarounds or additional steps just to get something accomplished. And the best part is that everything can be reversed, adjusted, or modified as needed. The dashboards are great and the reporting is fantastic, with the ability to copy and modify reports when needed. Drag and drop is great, although I wish Chrome would allow drag and drops from Outlook, but the desktop works fine.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

No real items that I dislike. Sage seems to continue refining the product which is great.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to have Business users versus Employees allows managers/supervisors to input their own Purchase Orders, see dashboards, etc... and that helps take a lot of work off of our shoulders. The purchasing flow is great, with approvals. We don't use the Warehousing module yet.

  ### 17. Powerful and User-Friendly Financial Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer L. | CFO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

The best part of Sage Intacct is its usability. The system is intuitive, allowing users to quickly find the information they need and easily drill down into transactions to identify and resolve issues.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

One drawback of Sage Intacct is that many newer features are not included as part of the standard platform and require additional licensing or paid add-on modules. This can increase the overall cost as your organization's needs evolve.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sage Intacct centralizes our financial operations and provides real-time visibility into our business. It eliminates manual processes, reduces the time required for month-end close and financial reporting, and gives users the ability to drill down from summary financials to individual transactions in seconds. This improves accuracy, speeds decision-making, and enables the finance team to spend more time on analysis and strategic planning instead of compiling data.

  ### 18. Smooth Transition with Sage Intacct: Easy Interface, Fast Reconciliations, Great Integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Felicitous M. | Full cycle Accountant , Accounting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

The interface makes everything easier. When we migrated to Sage, I was really worried I wouldn’t be able to understand how it works, but the layout and navigation made the transition much smoother. I could find what I needed quickly and move through the system with ease.

For reconciliations, it has improved the process a lot—especially for my accounts receivable reconciliations, which are usually a lot to manage. With a single journal entry, everything was cleared up, and matching bank transactions to the relevant accounts became much more straightforward.

It also integrates easily with JP Morgan bank and with Bill.com, including Spend and Expense and AP. I also appreciate that the reports I need are generated easily—literally just one click away. During setup, we were given practice accounts to review and learn from without the risk of making serious mistakes. Overall, I honestly believe moving to Sage Intacct was a good move for my company because it integrates well with almost all the applications we use.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

It has not yet been able to integrate smoothly with Dental inteligence which was recommended prior to migrating to Sage intacct. That the only complaint l really have with it.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before migrating to sage intacct l had to manually do Accounts Receivable reconciliations which was time consuming since they made up majority of my bank transactions. Now with sage l don't have to do them individuall l just have to upload one journal and everything will clear up. This has honestly time saving and have reduced my workload by a lot. I do get to download my reports quicker no matter how big the document is. I have not been using it for long but so far it does seem worth it.

  ### 19. Powerful Multi-Dimensional GL and Streamlined Reporting in Sage Intacct

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kaangeyan P. | Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

What I like most about Sage Intacct is its powerful, multi-dimensional general ledger. It provides deep financial visibility and makes reporting more streamlined, without requiring an overly complex chart of accounts. The automation of routine accounting workflows also cuts down on manual errors and speeds up month-end close, which makes it a reliable tool for strategic financial planning.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

The custom reporting tool is highly detailed and powerful, but it can feel frustratingly rigid when it comes to visual formatting and overall presentation layout. Getting financial statements to look exactly the way management prefers for direct presentations often takes a fair amount of trial and error, and we frequently end up exporting clean data sets to Excel to make the final formatting tweaks.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sage Intacct addresses the chaos of manual multi-entity consolidation by enabling automated financial workflows and clean dimensional mapping. This delivers a major strategic return on investment (Pricing / ROI) by shortening close cycles and improving resource allocation. Its advanced cloud infrastructure also handles high-volume transaction processing smoothly with zero downtime, removing the lag we used to experience with legacy desktop systems (Performance). The platform includes a robust API ecosystem that integrates seamlessly with our existing CRMs and payroll tech stacks, creating an audited, single source of financial truth (Integrations). That foundation is further strengthened by automated data-matching tools and smart anomaly tracking (AI / Intelligence). Although the structured setup process initially required dedicated support resources (Support / Onboarding), the end result is a centralized hub with highly structured, drill-down executive dashboards (UI / UX) that meaningfully improves our day-to-day corporate financial planning and analysis workflow.

  ### 20. Genuine review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samruddi M. | accounting specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

Finance Intelligence Agent (AI-powered finance assistant)
Sage is expanding beyond simple automation into AI agents that can answer finance questions in natural language through Sage Copilot. Instead of building reports manually, finance teams can ask questions and get actionable insights directly from their data. This is one of the more interesting steps toward "autonomous finance."
Close Automation and Close Workspace
Month-end close remains a major pain point for finance organizations. Sage has been investing heavily in automated close management, including Close Workspace, Close Assistant, reconciliation assistance, and variance analysis. These tools provide visibility into bottlenecks and help shorten close cycles.
AI-Powered Reconciliation and Variance Analysis
Automated subledger reconciliation and AI-driven variance detection can reduce a significant amount of manual review work. Rather than simply flagging differences, the system helps users drill into causes faster.
Advanced Ownership Consolidation
For organizations with complex ownership structures, the new Equity Method functionality for consolidation is a meaningful enhancement. It automates accounting for partial ownership and multi-level entities, which historically required a lot of spreadsheet work.
Cash Flow Prediction Roadmap
Sage's roadmap includes predictive cash forecasting and payment optimization based on historical customer payment behavior. For CFOs and controllers, this could become one of the highest-value AI features if execution matches the vision.
AP Automation Becoming More End-to-End
The platform is increasingly automating invoice matching, purchasing workflows, classification, approvals, and payments. Rather than treating AP automation as a separate add-on process, Sage appears to be integrating it throughout the procure-to-pay lifecycle.
AI Trust Label
One feature that doesn't get as much attention is Sage's AI Trust Label. It gives customers visibility into how AI features use data, handle compliance, and manage bias and accuracy. As AI becomes more embedded in financial systems, transparency features like this will likely become increasingly important.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

1. More Flexible User Experience

While Sage Intacct is powerful, some users find the interface less intuitive than newer SaaS applications. Common requests include:

Fewer clicks for common tasks
More customizable dashboards
Better navigation between related records
Improved mobile experience for approvals and reporting
2. Native Planning and Forecasting

Many organizations still rely on separate planning tools for:

Budgeting
Forecasting
Scenario modeling
Workforce planning

A more deeply integrated, enterprise-grade planning experience inside Sage Intacct could reduce dependence on external tools and spreadsheets.

3. Stronger AI Explainability

Sage is investing heavily in AI, but finance teams need confidence in automated recommendations. Improvements could include:

Clear explanations of why an AI suggestion was made
Confidence scores
Audit trails for AI-generated outputs
Better visibility into data sources used by AI agents

This is particularly important for auditors, controllers, and CFOs.

4. Easier Multi-Entity and Global Operations

Intacct handles multi-entity accounting well, but large international organizations sometimes want:

More advanced intercompany automation
Broader localization support
More country-specific tax capabilities
Simplified global consolidations

This is an area where larger ERP suites sometimes have an advantage.

5. Reporting Flexibility

The dimensional reporting model is one of Intacct's strengths, but users occasionally ask for:

More self-service analytics
Easier report design
Richer visualizations
More drag-and-drop reporting capabilities
Simpler ad hoc analysis for non-finance users
6. Workflow Automation Across Departments

Finance workflows are increasingly connected to procurement, HR, CRM, and operations systems.

Opportunities include:

More no-code workflow automation
Easier cross-system orchestration
Better exception handling
More AI-driven process recommendations
7. Faster Implementations for Mid-Sized Companies

Compared with basic accounting software, Intacct implementations can require significant setup and consulting.

Potential improvements:

Industry-specific templates
Guided configuration
Automated chart-of-accounts setup
AI-assisted implementation recommendations
8. More Embedded Operational Analytics

Finance teams increasingly want answers such as:

Which customers are becoming less profitable?
Which projects are at risk?
Which vendors are causing cash flow issues?

Moving beyond financial reporting toward operational intelligence could create significant value.

9. Ecosystem Simplification

Intacct has a strong partner ecosystem, but customers sometimes need multiple third-party products for:

Expense management
Revenue recognition enhancements
Planning
Procurement
Advanced analytics

Reducing the number of required add-ons could improve the overall customer experience.

10. Continuous Accounting Vision

One area where the industry is heading is "continuous accounting":

Transactions classified automatically
Reconciliations running continuously
Variances identified in real time
Month-end close becoming almost invisible

Sage has started moving in this direction with recent AI and close-management features, but there is still substantial opportunity to push further.

Overall, if I had to prioritize three areas with the biggest potential impact, they would be:

AI explainability and trust,
More powerful planning/forecasting capabilities,
Simpler and more modern user experience.

Those improvements would benefit both finance teams and business users while helping Sage Intacct compete more effectively against platforms like Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance, and Workday Financial Management.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sage Intacct helps us to solve accounting issues and records the accounting information of clients. It presents the data in a simple and understandable way. Very easy to operate. User friendly. Not many complications in using the application. It saves time in preparing reports. The application itself prepares reports as we enter the data. There is not much complication in navigation for extracting reports.

**Official Response from Gill Symington:**

> Thank you for your review Samruddi. We're pleased to hear that Sage Intacct is user-friendly and saves you time in preparing reports. ### 21. Just switched to Sage, here's what we love and what we dont..

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ailama F. | Senior Accountant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

Automation has been a big upgrade for our accounting close. Prior to having Sage we had many manual processes that needed to be done but now with Sage, it's effortless and a lot of time has been saved by improving our workflow.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

We were able to get AP processing to work which initially took a few months to get the ball rolling.. however, once this was all set up, we've seen accuracy and speed improvement in processing AP.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's automating a lot of manual processes that we use to spend a lot of manual time one for example, bank reconciliations. We're benefiting from this with having more time to focus on reports and analyzing the data rather than insuring the data is correct.

**Official Response from Bethany McDermott:**

> Hi Ailama,

Thank you for sharing your experience with Sage Intacct. We appreciate your positive feedback on the integration capabilities. We apologize for any inconvenience you've experienced with AP processing and are looking to make improvements in this area. Your input helps us to prioritize our efforts for a better user experience.

Thanks,

  ### 22. Sage Intacct: The Backbone of Our Finance Transformation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Priya P. | Senior Project Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

What I find most helpful is being able to manage multiple companies within one system and run reports across all of them. The onboarding process was also extremely easy.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

It’s a bit more expensive than other software. There’s definitely a learning curve, but it’s worth it in the end.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our financial processes were manual and time-consuming, and we relied too heavily on spreadsheets and repetitive data entry. We also lacked real-time visibility into our financials.

This solution automates accounts payable, accounts receivable, the general ledger, and reconciliations. It reduces our dependency on spreadsheets and cuts down on manual data entry. It also provides real-time dashboards, KPIs, and reporting, which helps us make decisions faster and with more confidence.

  ### 23. Flexible, Easy Accounting with Global Reach

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rahul S. | Assistant Financial Controller, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

I like that Sage Intacct is web-based and can be used anytime from anywhere without the need to log into a proper server. It's very easy to use, flexible, and runs smoothly with minimal requirements, which is great for my team. The software really simplifies the process of accounting and reporting, and setting up reporting is very easy and very useful for creating customized reports and dashboards. It also supports multi-currency, which is a huge help for my global team, allowing them to work effectively across the globe.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

We have a long list of intercompany setups, and it doesn't work effectively for us. Also, when updates are brought into the system, it sometimes takes many hours, like three to four hours, which hampers productivity for our team working in India and other offshore areas. So, this time-taking activity creates issues for us sometimes.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sage Intacct for accounting and reporting. It simplifies processes, supports multi-currency, and is easy to use with minimal coaching. Its web-based nature allows global access without a server. The reporting setup is straightforward, helping with customized reports and dashboards.

  ### 24. Sage Intacct Streamlines Multi-Entity Accounting with Powerful Dimensional Reporting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

What I love most about Sage Intacct is that it frees me from manual data entry and lets me focus on strategic analysis. The multi-dimensional general ledger is a game-changer; instead of managing a bloated chart of accounts, I can easily tag and slice data by project, vendor, or department with a few clicks. For multi-entity management, it completely eliminates the month-end spreadsheet shuffle by automating intercompany transactions and providing a consolidated view instantly. The embedded AI also gives me huge peace of mind by catching ledger anomalies early and allowing for a continuous "soft close" rather than a brutal month-end crunch. Finally, its open API seamlessly connects with our existing stack like Salesforce and Ramp, keeping all of our financial and operational data unified in one reliable source of truth.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

While I appreciate Sage Intacct, there are definitely things that frustrate me. The initial setup and learning curve are incredibly steep; it takes a long time to get comfortable navigating the system unless you are already an expert. The custom report builder is also way too complex and rigid. Trying to create a specific layout feels like a chore, and exporting to Excel removes all the active formulas, leaving me to manually rebuild them. I also dislike the pricing model for add-on features. Essential capabilities like budgeting, advanced inventory management, or credit card processing aren't always native and require expensive add-on modules or third-party integrations. Lastly, the user interface can sometimes feel a bit dated, requiring way too many clicks just to complete a standard, everyday task.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Sage Intacct, our biggest problems were data silos, constant manual entry, and a chaotic month-end close driven by disconnected spreadsheets. Sage Intacct solves this by centralizing all of our financial operations into a single, automated cloud environment. It eliminates the problem of a bloated chart of accounts through its dimensional tagging, which saves me hours of manual data manipulation. It also fixes the massive headache of manual multi-entity consolidation by automating intercompany transactions and currency conversions natively. For me, the direct benefit is an incredible amount of saved time and reduced stress. I no longer have to chase down data or worry about human errors in broken spreadsheets. Because the software handles the tedious data-entry grind and catches anomalies automatically, I can deliver real-time financial insights to leadership instantly. It ultimately shifts my role from a reactive data-handler to a proactive strategic partner.

  ### 25. Leaps Ahead in grantor reporting, but needs to catch up on internal workflows (reporting, approvals)

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

Reporting capabilities are leaps ahead of the prior software we were using. the capability of creating custom dimensions and the project/grant module have streamlined so much of the work our non-profit was doing manually prior to the switch.

the interface takes some getting used to for anything beyond basic AP/AR/cash management, but once you are comfortable with the menus, it really opens a lot of possibilities, specially with custom reporting and dashboards.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

I understand that the point of this software is to skip the use of excel, but we live in a world ruled by the worksheet and intacct lacks direct integration with microsoft excel unfortunately. and every report you download in excel form is not formatted correctly so excel believes it's a website and will try to save it as such.

additionally, not having basic fields like account name readily available on the general ledger as a field to be included on every line in an excel document means that General ledger downloads are really limited to CSV. if the report does not come out of intacct exactly as needed, then there is a lot of formatting that is required still.

Additionally, the dashboards lack a really print-friendly format, if your exces require dashboards but refuse to use the portal and want PDF/printed dashboards, it makes it really difficult to find the right formatting

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

reporting, allocations of grants is a breeze if you set up the system correctly. it's still lacking a lot of sophistication in the AP approcals and payment approvals. the workflows are clunky.

  ### 26. Sage Intacct: Best-in-Class UI, Seamless Updates, and Powerful Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

Sage intacct UI is one of the best, it easy to work with and easy to interact with. Also the seamless updates that they do are exceptional. third is their integration capability with other systems, with their open API its easier to do integration with most of third party systems. Also the inbuilt AI with the sage Intacct is the best, the power of asking question and getting replies on how to do tasks is the best.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

One of the main pain points is handling foreign currency revaluations. The system lacks the capability to perform automatic revaluations for foreign bank accounts, which reduces its overall performance and efficiency in this area. Also, the pricing is too hefty, especially for companies on the African continent that use multi currency.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to have a system hosted on a local server, which meant we could only work from one site, and doing regular backups was very stressful. With a locally hosted server, it would crash often and we ended up losing data many times. Since introducing Sage Intacct, we’re now stress-free when it comes to backups, and we can do our work anytime and anywhere.

  ### 27. Intuitive, Easy-to-Learn Tool with a Clean, Simple Design

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

Sage Intacct has significantly improved our month-end close process through automation and detailed reporting. I particularly appreciate the ability to drill down into transactions, create custom reports, and access accurate financial data quickly. Its cloud-based platform also makes collaboration much easier.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

While Sage Intacct is a powerful accounting platform, some processes can feel more complex than necessary, particularly when setting up custom reports or workflows. New users may face a steeper learning curve compared to simpler accounting systems, and certain customizations often require additional training or support. The reporting functionality is comprehensive, but it can take time to understand all the available options. Additionally, the cost may be challenging for smaller businesses, especially when adding extra modules or users.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sage Intacct helps us solve challenges related to financial reporting, manual accounting processes, and visibility into company performance. By automating routine tasks such as consolidations, reconciliations, and reporting, it reduces the time spent on manual work and minimizes errors. The real-time dashboards and customizable reports give us quicker access to accurate financial data, allowing management to make more informed decisions. This has improved efficiency within the finance team and helped streamline our month-end close process.

  ### 28. AI Invoice Uploading and an Easy UI Make Sage Intacct a Win

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher B. | Staff Accountant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

My favorite features of Sage Intacct are the AI invoice uploading feature and access to Sage Community. I like that uploading invoices via AI removes a lot of the data entry piece, and Community is helpful for when I have to assist members of my organization with support tickets. The software performs very well, and the overall user interface is easy to understand, even for a lay person without accounting knowledge. We have multiple departments across the organization that must use the software, so I especially appreciate the accessibility and functionality of the software.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

The error messages aren't the most helpful. I would prefer there be a more drilled down explanation of certain errors, perhaps with links to resources within Community explaining them.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have trimmed a lot of time out of our AP data entry as it relates to invoice entry thanks to AI. We are also in the process of using some of the reporting and dashboard features to enable outside departments to access their financial data in real time. These are functions that wouldn't have been possible using our previous software.

  ### 29. Effortless Reporting and Smooth Payroll Integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

After an intense initial setup with a knowledgeable partner (ours was over seven years ago), the system’s core features have been relatively easy to master, and our reporting is now nearly effortless. Of course, we follow the credo of avoiding "garbage in, garbage out", meaning we take great care in entering data the right way! We have integrated payroll well and have taken advantage of linking bank activity to improve bank reconciliation completion time. We want to continue to integratee other automation features and possibly AI, so that we can continue to be more effective and timely with financial reporting.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

Not really a downside per se at all, but it has become so developed that we just don't have the time to master all it offers to fully maximize its potential. We are a relatively small nonprofit with a small staff, so learning time is at a premium!
However, it should be noted that as a small nonprofit on a very tight (and shrinking) budget, the cost of annual membership is quite high, but so far the performance advantages are strong enough to convince our Board to keep this cost in the budget!

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

From where we were when I arrived, with an antiquated accounting system that was barely more functional than a pencil and paper, our reporting was immediately transformed into logical and pertinent documents that were clear and easy to understand.

  ### 30. Great Automations and Custom Reporting—AI AP Invoice Uploads Shine

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer G. | Accounting Technician, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

The automations are great. Reporting is a breeze and customizable. I'm enjoying AI AP invoice uploads and email functions.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

When working with AP drafts that I've uploaded using AI upload or email, it would be nice to go directly to the next draft invoice. Once I submit an invoice, it brings me back to the list of drafts. It would be more seamless, similar to bank matching in the Cash Management module, if I can submit and go to the next one.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able upload invoices automatically and submit them to the approvers. Before, I would print, hand the invoice to the mangers, they sign them, then hand back to me, I would key in all invoice details, post, and then go back and scan in the electronic copy of the invoice. With Sage Intacct, it zips right through all that workflow and keeps me moving efficiently.

  ### 31. Easy AR/AP, Configurable Reports, and an Impeccable Audit Trail

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Han S. | Director Finance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

Multi-entity consolidation, dimensional reporting, and automation that helps shorten the close. It’s cloud-native and accessible, easy to use for AR/AP processes, and backed by strong integrations - all of which give finance teams faster visibility and smoother workflows.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

Reporting is my biggest gripe. The custom report builder is powerful, but it feels rigid when it comes to formatting, it’s hard to learn, and the field naming isn’t consistent. The learning curve is a close second, since new users need significant training to get comfortable.

Pricing is another frequent frustration. The steady, large annual increases are tough, and costs stack up quickly as you add users or modules. I also feel the base package should include more, rather than requiring so many paid add-ons.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It replaces fragmented systems with a cloud-native platform that provides real-time financial insight, speeds up close cycles, improves invoicing accuracy, and drives meaningful productivity gains - reducing manual work and lowering the need for additional hires.

  ### 32. Highly Customizable Reporting with an Easy-to-Navigate QuickBooks-Like UI

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren W. | Senior Accounting Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

The customization of elements and reporting alone makes Intacct a standout software choice. It can grow and change and even shrink if you need-- you're only locked into a few things during the setup.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

We had some challenges with initial setup and integrating our old system into Intacct-- in part because our old system was set up so wildly differently from Intacct. While it's certainly not cheap, the capability is unmatched for our needs. Very similar to Quickbooks UI, which is easy to navigate and understand. We've had no issues with downtime or outages.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reporting reporting reporting-- our ability to customize reports without relying on weirdly formatted GL reports has expanded infinitely.

  ### 33. Easy-to-Use Online Platform with Seamless Navigation and Real-Time Financial Visibility

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

Ease of use - having a completely online platform allows my team to work from any location. Navigation between data points is quick and seamless, where we had to open multiple modules in our old system to find the same data. Owners can see financial information in real time and click into mroe details directly from their dashboard or statements. Yes! Along with being ab le to access our fomer product, Sage 300, at no cost. Yes! Along with being ab le to access our fomer product, Sage 300, at no cost. Yes! Along with being ab le to access our fomer product, Sage 300, at no cost.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

Customizing financial reports takes time and a more thorough understanding of how the canned reports are set up. The reports from our prior system that we used on a daily basis cannot all be replicated in intacct. Our invoice forms (which are standard in our industry) are not configured correctly and is creating some additional manual work for the team.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easire to produce financial reports and analyze data without having to view multiple screeens/reports. Building dashboards for data that we are currently managing in spreadsheets.

  ### 34. Quick, Efficient AP Reporting with Seamless Sage Intacct Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

Very quick and efficient for reporting and processing. I work on the AP side, and bank reconciliation and invoice processing have been so much easier to use compared to other Sage systems. The integration with Sage Intacct and our paperless system has also been amazing. The mapping works perfectly, and we can still make changes within Intacct if needed.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

I would say that, at first, the Top level and Entity level can be a little confusing, especially if you’re a first-time user and not a big enough company to set up different entities. In the beginning, it was challenging to know what should go in each level. However, the training modules were helpful in distinguishing between the two and made it clearer over time. Also, allocating credit notes is tedious.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remittance details aren’t the easiest to read, and we do get complaints from our suppliers. However, I know Sage Intacct is looking into this, and improving it would make payment allocations more straightforward and help keep our supplier accounts clean.

  ### 35. Streamlined Our Financial Management with Sage Intacct

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rebecca M. | Assistant Con, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

I appreciate that Sage Intacct is like a one-stop shop; at least it can be for most of our needs. I also really like that Sage has a marketplace full of partners who can help reach specific goals if something within Sage itself isn't fully meeting our needs. I love that it has given us so much more insight into our financial data and has helped us grow and learn as bookkeepers and accountants. The ability to manage multiple entities in one platform has streamlined our processes, saving time and effort. We switched from QuickBooks Enterprise, and the change has been mind-blowing in the best of ways. I have recommended Sage Intacct to many friends and colleagues because of my positive experience.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

Sage Customer Marketing Manager - Reviews

  ### 36. Strong Internal Controls and Easy to Learn

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick W. | Assistant Controller, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

It has strong internal controls and is easy to use. It takes no time at all to catch on to the way it works.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

I would say that the thing about it that would be the only negative is the fact that you have to pay for additional modules. I understand why, but it would be nice if it could be included in the subscription cost.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is bringing together 4 companies that were all operating on different accounting software's. There was a difficult time getting reporting and locking down each software and everyone operating differently.

  ### 37. Easy to Use, Robust ROI Reporting, and Smooth Onboarding

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** hamza a. | Senior Accounts executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

It’s very easy to use. The reports are straightforward to download, and it covers all the performance and ROI details I need, whether that’s Profit and Loss or the Balance Sheet. It also makes the onboarding process very smooth. It works really well when the banks are connected to it, and the AI tool helps a lot too.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

Sometimes the transactions on connected banks can get duplicated.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making payments on sage and then getting a report from sage and uploading it on to online banking to make the supplier payments makes the process very time efficient

  ### 38. Sage Intacct Automates Accounting with Powerful Reporting and Audit Trails

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Liam V. | Finance Intern, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

What I like about Sage Intacct is that it automates accounting processes, supports efficient bulk imports, is cloud-based, and provides powerful reporting and a reliable audit trail. It helps save time and improves efficiency once it's set up correctly.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

What I don't like about Sage Intacct is that it can be difficult to learn, error messages can be confusing, and troubleshooting import or configuration issues can be time-consuming. Some processes also feel slower and more complicated than they should be.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sage Intacct helps solve business problems by automating manual accounting tasks, reducing data entry errors, improving financial reporting, speeding up transaction processing, and providing real-time financial information for better decision-making.

  ### 39. My time using Sage Intacct

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Colton O. | Senior Project Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

I like the responsiveness of each screen and the ease of creating new entries in the modules that I use. Competitor's products are much slower and bloated compared to this.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

Sage is great, but it is lacking some features on certain menus. Although it is very responsive, some intuitive features like time checking are missing from certain screens, causing excess clicks.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping us with better time tracking and reporting against current projects. It allows for better management and insight as projects progress. We also use it to connect the accounting side to the PM side.

  ### 40. Intuitive Cloud-Based Reporting That Boosts Performance Anywhere

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Russell F. | Head Staff, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

It's cloud-based and intuitive. The ability for multiple users to be running reports from anywhere, in or out of the office, has helped improve performance. The onboarding process has been helpful in learning the program, and the migration and integration process has been straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

So far, no complaints. There is a bit of latency lag depending on the connection to internet, but that's to be expected.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Intacct has given me the ability to get pricing and cost information to better improve our ROI on projects across the board. I am interested to see how the integrated AI can also improve performance in regular business activities.

  ### 41. That's a universal fact, Accounting is smooth with Sage Intacct.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gopal S. | Senior Accountant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

Sage Intacct is very user friendly and helps to sync real time data with ease. Good for custom reporting with high-speed processing. Compared to similar platforms provide better service at lesser price. Learning center and support team helps as and when required.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

Although it's a very good platform, sometimes while uploading bills the data is not read and populated correctly. It should be improved with integration of AI and similar process.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sage Intacct helps in keeping financial transaction records with utmost accuracy. It helps to provide a fair picture of business standing by keeping all income and expenses records in real time. Have the option of cloud storage which is beneficial for vouching and verification. Easily integrate with third party platforms helps in keeping data at one place.

  ### 42. Flexible Sage Intacct That Scales with Our Needs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sandy C. | SVP Finance and Business Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

I value the flexibility of Sage Intacct in being able size the system to our needs. While we don't utilize all of the capabilities of the system, we are able to structure our system to meet our current needs, while also knowing that it can grow with us as our needs change.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

I have found some of the dimensions and groupings set ups to be a bit tedious and complex. Recommend future users map our their reporting needs before implementing in the system.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using purchase or orders and non-GL ledger to help us better track encumbrances.

  ### 43. Cloud-Based, API-Friendly Platform with Exportable Reporting and Helpful Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John M. | CFO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

It is cloud-based, all reporting is exportable, and it has the ability to support many APIs.

The user interface is well defined, and it allows for easy access.

The support team was extremely helpful in helping to create certain reporting and adjusting some work flows.

Provides adequate user preferences and roles to create segregation of duties.

Pricing is a good value for the number of users.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

Reporting and documents can be complicated to set up. Constructing the framework necessary to create the reports is essential

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Intacct allows for a very smooth month-end close.

  ### 44. Great for in depth financial analysis and process automation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

From using Intacct for over two years, we have been able to analyse our financial information in much more detail than we had done under Sage 200. This has allowed the business to have more meaningful conversations. The month end timeline has also been greatly reduced to c 2-3days due to the automation in the system

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

Improve the sub ledgers to allow viewing of outstanding items only and also show what invoices and payments are allocated against each other. It would also be helpful to create a refund workflow rather than postings three journals to achieve the same outcome.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to gain a deeper insight to our business and saves time in generating reports. However, there is no controls over changes to supplier bank details.

  ### 45. Sage Intacct Delivers Automation, Flexibility, and Real-Time Financial Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diveyesh T. | Accountant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

I appreciate most about Sage Intacct is its powerful mix of automation, flexibility, and real-time financial insights. Being a cloud-based platform, it allows easy access to accurate financial data from anywhere, enabling quicker and more informed decision-making. Its automation capabilities—particularly in areas like accounts payable, revenue recognition, and reporting—significantly reduce manual work and help minimize errors.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

One downside of Sage Intacct is that it can have a bit of a learning curve, especially for new users who aren’t familiar with cloud-based accounting systems. Some advanced features and configurations may require training or support to fully utilize.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sage Intacct helps solve manual accounting inefficiencies by offering a structured UI, strong automation, and real-time financial visibility, making everyday workflows faster and more accurate. It integrates well with other business systems, performs reliably in the cloud, and its intelligent automation and reporting features provide meaningful insights for better decision-making.

  ### 46. Massive upgrade on our previous Sage

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Claire H. | Accounts Payable Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

I love the 'help on this page' option, there are many times I have been able find help with exactly what I need simply by looking here. Learning a new system takes time and this helps so much.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

You have to be exact with the supplier name or the invoice number you’re trying to locate. Even when using %first, it can still take a while to find what you’re looking for.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having the bank account feeds set up makes things much easier for us. We no longer need to log in to online banking and download transactions manually, which speeds up allocating our accounts.

Running a payment run is also much smoother and easier in Sage Intacct, and it has reduced the amount of time it takes.

  ### 47. Sage Intacct - top cloud ERP

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

One of the best aspects of Sage Intacct is the ease of use. The user does not need to know the system front and backwards to get the information that he or she needs. Also, being a cloud-based system helps with access at any time or location.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

Sometime the AP functionalities do not update to what is expected. Meaning duplicating a Bill in AP will create issues if you are not paying attention to what you are doing. Voiding and reissuing payments at time is problematic.

**Recommendations to others considering Sage Intacct:**

Price to Quality is very important. The transition to Intacct woould be seemless.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the best qualities of the software is availability and access to the data. I can run reports all the time without having to wait for something to refresh overnight.

  ### 48. Great accounting system, great for large companies with complex accounting needs.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Heather G. | Corporate Office Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2020

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

Sage Intacct can do more complex accounting tasks than other accounting systems. If Intacct can't perform a particular function, it partners with many companies that have created software to streamline the process. We use bill.com, Expensify and Marketman.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

The flow is choppy. With other software, it links the different steps together. In Sage Intacct, you must go in and out of various windows to complete one step. Creating a not-as-user-friendly software because you must remember where to go next.

**Recommendations to others considering Sage Intacct:**

take the classes provided

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is currently is helping cut out paper waste, and smoothe intergrations

  ### 49. Sage Brings Structure, Accuracy, and Audit-Ready Control to Finance Workflows

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Chemicals | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

What I like most about Sage is how it brings structure, accuracy, and efficiency to complex financial processes. It offers a dependable platform for managing general ledger activity, accounts payable, and reporting, while also maintaining strong audit trails and internal controls. Its integration capabilities and customizable reporting tools make it straightforward to pull meaningful insights and support better decision-making.

From a controller’s perspective, Sage helps streamline day-to-day workflows, reduce manual errors, and stay compliant with accounting standards. Overall, it strikes a solid balance between flexibility and control, enabling finance teams to work more effectively without sacrificing the rigor needed for audit-ready financial management.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

What I dislike about Sage is that it can feel rigid and unintuitive at times, particularly when I’m navigating more complex transactions or trying to correct errors. Some workflows take too many steps to complete, which slows productivity and increases the chance of user mistakes. Reporting is flexible, but it often takes additional configuration to get exactly what I need instead of feeling immediately intuitive. Integration with other systems can be inconsistent as well, which sometimes forces manual workarounds. From a controller’s perspective, these inefficiencies add friction during close and audit cycles and make processes more time-consuming than they should be, even with the system’s overall strengths.

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manual, time‑intensive close processes → Close automation tools aim to make month-end “as seamless as possible” and reduce the time spent on close activities

Fragmented data and reporting → Data Cloud + integrations (e.g., with Snowflake) support more centralized, accessible financial data

Inefficient payment workflows → e-Payment solutions streamline payment processing without per-transaction overhead

Manual accounting processes and rework → Ongoing product improvements are designed to “reduce manual work” and improve workflows

  ### 50. Sage is the best accounting software I have ever used.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph F. | Accountant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Sage Intacct?**

I continue to find new ways where Sage excels. I’ve been spending more time in the reporting module and building useful reports and Sage make it very convenient and easy. We recently added SIP to our software package as well.

**What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?**

Reporting within SIP is a bit rough and some of the modules within Sage are not as user-friendly (fixed asset and prepaid)

**What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sage is our go-to for all of our accounting needs. It's provided ease and is super quick to gain an understanding of.
