What do you like best?

I like how sage integrates with my other packages and how easy it is to input data. It gives a realtime accurate picture of companies financial situation. Reporting is great giving really easy visuals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

there are some thing i really dislike which is to simple :D that need like a little visual effects just to maximize the joy while working

The Ease of Access for every thing and you will have the full control

the basic inter actions and the simplicity of every thing so you can Do everything with just simple clicks

the one thing I dis like is that when you are trying to save documents on the transaction it some times take along time, and some times it just stuck even though the internet connection is so good

and also when you stay in active for a while it sign out automatically and some times i look for a thing or 2 just to upload it and it signs me out so i have to sign in again and choose the level of the corporate and it opens in a new window

the problems i solve is payments for vendors and reviewing the invoices and record the transactions and reconcile the banks by matching the transactions of the bank and the one which is input in the system and i make the payments through the bill payment module.

the benefits is that every thing is under your eyes and you have reports for everything like PNL Statement

What do you like best?

Reporting is very versatile once you understand how to construct reports. Many of the modules interconnect and allow for you to capture and understand financials and KPIs across multiple entities, locations and departments. There is also an ability to load large quantities of data rather than manually input through the user interface which helps a lot with efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Some processes that have to be run manually (i.e. generating contract invoices, recognizing contract revenue) vs. being put on a schedule.

Similarly, this somewhat pertains to reporting. If you want to schedule a certain report to go out to all department heads with spend for their department, for example, you have to replicate the report for each department head rather than using some internal logic to send to all. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are constantly taking the next step to increase accuracy and efficiency by running processes through Intacct, replacing manual data entry and one off email workflows into defined processes that allow the company to grow without increasing headcount on the finance and accounting teams.

Recently, we implemented the advanced CRM integration between Salesforce and Intacct, coupled with the contracts module. While this project was very challenging, it forced us to look deeper into our data structure and sales process which has laid out a clear path forward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

PROS

- Overall the Sage Intacct Timesheets does the job where I can easily fill out timesheets and submit them.

- The timesheet start date will reset to the start of the week if I enter it incorrectly √

- In the list of all the timesheets, I can quickly see which of the timesheets are approved/in-draft/ Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

CONS

- I have to click 3-4 times till I get to the page where I can fill out my timesheet. Why can't my first page be about the timesheets I am supposed to fillout.

- The place where I see the timesheets does not show the summary of the DATEs and TOTAL hours worked. I have to manually click to check which timesheet is which

- Timesheet page page cannot be bookmarked. I cannot save reference to a particular timesheet since those links are not bookmark-able

- It does not tell me who is approving my timesheet, the status summary and timestamps are missing.

- It does not show which timesheets are overdue. I have to manually create timesheets every week. Ideally I should just be filling timesheets which are set for me Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

I like how user friendly and simple the application is to use. I am able to easily pull reports that I need based off of my client's revenues. I absolutely loved the ease with pulling vendor report/info for 1099 season. I was able to get all the information that I needed already included in an excel document for ease. I like that they can also print checks for you instead of hand writing them. This is a major help for one of my clients that has 20 stores, and has over 200 invoices a week that I have to send payments out for. I also love that our firm can have dozens of clients within this one application. We are trying to get all of our clients set up in Intacct away from Quickbooks and RTI. What do you dislike?

I don't like that I can't just delete a recorded transfer of funds. It is basically a draft amount, so it isn't a payment directly out of Intacct. I have to go through the trouble of reversing it and checking the original posting and the reversal off in the register. Sometime I also have issue with balancing my registers. The website seems to glitch somehow, and it saying that I am out of balance by an amount that I have already checked off for, so I have to uncheck everything for the month, restart my reconciliation for the month, and then I can get the register to balance. Recommendations to others considering the product:

I definitely recommond Sage Intacct to people that have heavy finance information. I don't think that this would be a good fit for a small business, but if you have a lot of information that you need to manage, this company is good for that. What do you like best?

I like that it's easy to duplicate past entries and also relatively easy to research historical information. I also really enjoy the reporting and the cleanliness of the modules and how the flow of the menu is, while customizable, the out-of-the-box setup is quite easy and straightforward for anyone with experience with a previous accounting system to use. What do you dislike?

There's not much I can think of that I dislike, I think that this system properly integrates the proper controls to consider generally accepted accounting principles, while also allowing for mistakes and ways to undo entries instead of other systems which are usually less forgivable. One thing I do wish would improve, is as a Client Accounting Service Accountant, I'd like to be able to flip between clients a lot easier, which currently isn't quite easy to do - being able to open multiple different clients (in separate windows) without having it overwrite your current window would be amazing. Historical research of audit trail, or a history of actions taken by a specific user on a given day. Makes it easier to trace erroneous steps for clients whose controls haven't been modified and for a new user to Sage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Going back to my previous answer, there's a lot of functionality with Sage Intacct, as opposed to a system like Sage 100. I think some problems are moreso having to do with the original set up of a client, which is usually set in stone, like accrual to cash conversion or vice versa, which is less forgivable and more difficult to do in any system I'd presume. The benefits to this system versus something like Sage 100 is that there are so many more ways to go back and undo things or delete items without having it show up on the books, unless it's necessary. What do you like best?

Uploading attachments is really easy, much better than having to paper-clip or staple receipts together. Searching for specific expenses or accounts is also a breeze, thanks to the powerful search features. Because the service is web-based, I can upload receipts and enter expense reports from anywhere, so there's no worries about things being lost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Overall, there's not much I don't like. If I had to identify one thing, it's the ability to customize the user interface. There are a few fields that I do not use, which populate anyway. It would be nice if there was more UI customization available. Additionally, the search bars for populating the various fields are a bit pedantic at times, so something closer to a traditional search bar would be nifty. But those are minor things. The convenience factor is probably the biggest selling point for me. I can upload receipts and enter expense reports from anywhere, so there's no worries about things being lost. and once uploaded the information is available to our accounting team instantly. As a non-profit, keeping track of expenses and how funds are used are critical. Being able to log expenses anywhere, from any device, helps prevent information from being lost. What do you like best?

i like the ease of access for each module and the ease to edit everything which is so simple, with just a simple clicks and everything is done, also for the bank transactions it is so simple you can find even the journal transactions in it so you can easily reconcile your bank and match your transactions to keep everything up to date with in mins, also for the bills you can search for any bill you have entered and it so easy just with the wild card then type the name and u can find it. it is really so simple even you dont have to go through the application list every time you can just mark them as fav. and you can easy access them by 1 click Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

what i dont dislike is the some times it get stuck when saving attachments and also it doesnt save a big files so have to refresh the page and enter everything again from the begining and that is the worst thing is to duplicate the work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Very User Friendly. Sage Intacct has been a wonderful accounting tool. From the ease of application and going live to everyday use, you will not be disappointed in choosing it. We have also been freed up from requiring IT support on the software since Sage manages all updates and that has been a huge benefit to us to allow our company to focus our resources in other areas. What do you like best?

Sage Intacct not only provides us with the tools to track basic accounting transactions, but it also provides many tools that allow my accounting team to provide useful data to my staff for ongoing decision making. The report feature is very customizable and allows us to build reports based on limitless dimensions and data. We have yet to maximize the potential of creating custom dashboards for our staff to reference in real time. Sage Intacct also provides direct integration with other systems for credit card reconciliations and payables that allows our team to work with high efficiency.

Lastly, over the last year we have transitioned most of our workflows to be paperless and our approvals to take place directly within the system. We are so thankful for the ways that Sage Intacct has allowed us to seamlessly transition to remote work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

There are several features that feel fairly basic (such as the Project dimension) that Sage Intacct does not include with the basic price. These features are a very costly add-on. What do you like best?

I really appreciate the ability to utilize imports for the data rather than manually entering individual bills or credit card charges. It is incredibly helpful to have a built-in approval process for posting journal entries, bill payments, and other processes. It ensures that any mistakes are easily discovered before they are posted to the system. The checks and balances is very helpful for onboarding and training new employees in the system. What do you dislike?

The reporting features are not as detailed or as easy as I'm used to with QuickBooks. Additionally, I find that I have a more difficult time editing or changing transactions after they've been posted in the system. Intacct is very helpful in balancing the books at the end of each month. The biggest benefit has been its compatibility with our other systems, making daily processes easier. ACH, EFTs, check printing, and payroll data entry are all incredibly quick and easy thanks to Intacct. We've also been able to clean up our W9 and 1099 processes with our ability to upload documents and create folders. The organization has enabled us to rely less on paper and digitize our systems. What do you like best?

Its ability to support mid and enterprise industries. It is a full ERP. It has good support for integration with third party application making the company data seamlessly integration with other applications. There is good developer support for the Integrating Apps. It has very good support for both developers and Intacct which I feel make it edge up over other erps in its category. As far as Accounts payable is concerned it has support for all the features. What do you dislike?

Customization is one area which I feel would need to be improved from the core. It makes itself full ERP on part of ability to extend itself by installing Application in the customers account. However the data of these application is restricted to the ERP only and the third party application cannot get it through Intacct APIs. The subsidiaries is one part which I dislike as managing accounts across would induce a bit difficulty. I feel this software has tested the time and has evolved over from ERP with a different structure and in this terms it has some complication the way it now is as a full ERP today. Address concerns around addressing Accounts Payable areas in the company. We have realized that the Intacct has very good API exposed for the third party app to sync its data across. What do you like best?

Multi-dimensional accounting system written for the web. Has a great user interface and excellent reporting capabilities. Importing and exporting to XL from just about any screen. Lots of great "add ins" such as EFT manager and Allocations. Recurring journals, prepayments and fixed assets all improve accounts teams efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

One of the things I enjoy best about Sage Intacct is the small GL because of the Dimensions. The Dimensions are game changing for organizing your business and reporting and being able to track revenue and costs.

Another aspect is the reporting, I have used a lot of various accounting software in the past and have always found the reporting sections to be lacking and Sage Intacct has the best one I have seen so far out of the box.

Finally, Sage is continuously improving and updating their product to add new features and/or improve existing ones. They seem to listen to what their customers want. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The biggest gripe I have currently is the lack of foreign currency support for credit cards. We actually have to not use the credit card function in Intacct and treat them as bank accounts so that our USD credit cards work properly. This also means we can't have our credit card transactions come into Sage automatically during the month either. I am hoping this is something that is added in future updates.
