What do you like best about Sage Business Cloud Accounting?

The best part of sage cloud is the automatic sync we get with the multiple bank and credit card accounts which eliminates a lot of manual reconciliation and all the key financial activities are automatically tracked. Time flows can also be tracked easily and billable hours are generated with just a few clicks.

Best thing about Sage Cloud by far was the invoicing module. Pending and sent invoices can easily be tracked and customers have an option to pay from within the invoice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sage Business Cloud Accounting?

Sage cloud is a great tool aimed at cloud accounting and the whole purpose of the application is to make it accessible from anywhere. I did encounter connectivity issues a few times and I think this is one area which needed improving. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Sage Business Cloud Accounting:

I think Sage has done a great job with their cloud based application and the only thing they may need to work on is providing better customer support. When I contacted them with a few issued I know the staff were trying to help the best they could but they needed a little more training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Sage Business Cloud Accounting solving and how is that benefiting you?

Sage business cloud was particularly helpful in accounts receivable and accounts payable areas where invoicing clients was really easily and it improved our collection times and cash flow was improved by more than 7%. Payables were also greatly streamlined and charges refelcting in the bank account would automtically reconcile with the system generated invoices.

Another great benefit we felt was improvement in accounting reports. Previous accounting software that we used didn't allow data to flow the way I wanted and I needed a reporting system that would take me all the way from booking incoming material receipts to Delivery notes and sales revenue with clear separation of cost of goods sold and other related outlays. Sage cloud has a great reporting system with a customizable format that helped a great deal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Sage Business Cloud Accounting?

We are safe our data is in the cloud and we can access it from anywhere. We like that we have online backups instead of local backups. Creating reports is very easy. Sage support is very knowledgeable. We like the integration of the payroll module. We have connected sage 50 with our event registration platform and that allows us to create the entries and invoice directly into sage 50 automatically. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sage Business Cloud Accounting?

We do not like that sometimes when you create an account. If you do not do it properly it will create a series of recurring errors. One time we created an account and suddenly we had random values added to our balances. we had to delete the account to fix it. And recreate everything since the beginning. The initial process was not very easy. But, once we got used to it, everything was very easy. Building the framework of our accounting structure was a difficult task. We use sage 50 installed on a virtual server and it takes a while to print documents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Sage Business Cloud Accounting:

Make sure you are choosing the right version of sage for your business. We would have liked to try the local version of sage 50 instead of the cloud. Make sure your version of sage 50 includes free updates to latest versions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We moved from a software that was installed on a local desktop to a cloud version. Now we have a software that get updates regularly. We have support available as need it. We have integration with Microsoft Office. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Sage Business Cloud Accounting?

In the age of AI, Pegg - the digital assistant that Sage provides slashes time and tediousness and helps you keep track of your transactions. Business owners / Exec Asst. / startup accountants can manage transactions on the fly. I really felt comfortable using it for a < 3m raised tech startup in tracking P&L and automating transactions. The interface is intuitive and worked like a charm on an iPad. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sage Business Cloud Accounting?

For newbie accountants or people used to Quickbooks, it can be a bit challenging initially. The dashboards are quite dissimilar so takes a bit of time getting used to. If you're used to traditional reporting system, this can be a new flair but nothing you can't pick up within weeks. The reporting tool isn't that sophisticated so if you're preparing it for audit purposes, might not be the best use of your time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

easy to use, not a lot of training is needed. Not difficult to set up user permission or right. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are some data error once in a while and sometime it because so bad that I need to ask a third party to fix the data error. (Sage 's own data verification could not fix the error) It does do auto backup but if the backup has data error then the backup is not useful at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
