Recommendations to others considering Sage 300:
- If reporting and data analysis is important to you or your organization, Sage300cloud will not meet your needs.
- If you have complex payroll or more than 50 employees, be prepared for the system to make critical processing errors that you will have to implement controls outside of the system to address.
- If you want a true cloud solution that has automatic, timely updates, and can be easily accessed remotely, Sage300cloud will not meet your needs.
- If you want helpful, responsive, informed, and timely customer support to system problems you encounter with your accounting system, Sage300cloud is not going to meet your expectations. You have to become familiar enough with how the system is designed to create your own bandaid fixes for issues and problems you will inevitably encounter with Sage300cloud. What problems is Sage 300 solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems are countless and ongoing. I've had my trial balance at year end not reconcile or balance; I contacted Sage but they couldn't explain why it was like that or how to fix it. I've had the payroll module not deduct any income tax for an employee for mutliple months in a row, even though the employee payroll setup was correct and working properly for all other employees with the same setup. Again, Sage could not explain why this occurred, how to fix it, or how to prevent it from occuring again in the future. We have had to create our own bandaid solutions to work around the multiple errors that the Sage 300 system has done, despite no human operator error.
We have realized absolutely NO benefits from trying to "fix" problems with Sage300cloud - I can't even say we are solving the problems since Sage300 continuously has problems that aren't solvable, even for Sage themselves. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
