"Reliable Construction Accounting and Job Cost Management Solution"
5/5
What do you like best about Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate?

We have been using Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate for several years and it has become the backbone of our accounting and job cost management process.

One of the biggest strengths of Sage 300 is its job costing capabilities. As a general contractor, having the ability to track costs, commitments, contracts, change orders, payroll, and billing all within one system gives us a clear picture of project performance. The reporting is detailed and customizable, which helps us make informed decisions and keep a close eye on budgets.

I also appreciate the flexibility of the software. While there is definitely a learning curve, Sage can be tailored to fit the way your company operates. The integration between accounting, project management, payroll, equipment, and job cost modules helps eliminate duplicate data entry and improves accuracy.

Customer support and the user community have also been valuable resources when troubleshooting issues or learning new processes.

Sage 300 is not the most modern-looking software on the market, and new users should expect to invest time in training. However, once you understand the system, it is incredibly powerful and reliable. For construction companies that need strong financial controls, detailed job costing, and robust reporting, Sage 300 remains an excellent solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate?

While Sage 300 is a powerful system, some troubleshooting and complex processes can require a lot of research and workarounds to find a solution. The cost of subscriptions and annual renewals continues to increase, which can be frustrating. Customer support is generally helpful, but it can sometimes take a while to connect with a technician when urgent issues arise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Sage 300 CRE"
5/5
What do you like best about Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate?

I jumped into this industry with no background using accounting software and had to learn Sage 300 very quickly. We were able to connect with a consultant through Ethos, and she has helped me learn the software, as well as learn to use the software intuitively. We also use Quick Books for another business we have, and I prefer Sage 300 CRE over Quick Books. It has a vast range of capabilities which we use on a daily basis. What do you dislike about Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate?

My biggest complaint is: if you need assistance with anything in the program, the Sage representatives do not know what they are talking about when they try to help you. Sending articles that you can look up on the internet isn't really helping. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great full featured software but..."
3.5/5
What do you like best about Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate?

Sage 300 has been around for many years. It has all of the features most contractors would need and them some Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate?

Sage 300 is on-premise ERP software. Today's world is cloud centric. Sage 300 has not kept up with the times. There has not been a major update to the database technology or user interface in many years. With Sage's acquisition of Intacct this is unlikely to change. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Outdated but functional"
1.5/5
What do you like best about Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate?

It's functional and the financial reporting is accurate and fairly easy to customize once you're familiar with the report building tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate?

Super outdated, there is not much in the ways of updated and support and its difficult to integrate 3rd party software. Many reports and tasks have strange names and are difficult to navigate. Assigning permissions as an administrator is complicated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Hope you don't want easy to use reports"
1.5/5
What do you like best about Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate?

The software can handle numerous companies under the same umbrella.

The software can handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and rent rolls for a large real estate portfolio. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate?

The reporting is horrendous. The program's reports are very limited and difficult / impossible to change. The reports are only designed to be printed or converted to PDFs. they are NOT designed to be converted to excel, so if you need any reports in excel you have to do significant manipulation EVERY time you export to excel. They are also very inconsistent, making a standard manipulation or macro obsolete. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Software to Manage Construction Accounting"
5/5
What do you like best about Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate?

SAGE keeps all of our account, payroll, etc. in one place. We are able to upload invoices, send them to project managers for approval, and keep the entire process seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate?

Our version of Sage 300 is very outdated. We need to upgrade; however, it would be nice if SAGE continued providing updates to the outdated versions, as the upgrades are very expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
