SAGA GIS has various ready-to-use tools such as terrain analysis, hydrology analysis, fire spread analysis, etc. SAGA GIS has a GUI software application as well as a Python API. **What do you dislike about SAGA GIS?** SAGA GIS does not efficiently handle big data. SAGA GIS needs advanced tools for digital image processing and to create 3D maps. SAGA GIS does not work with iOS Operating System. **What problems is SAGA GIS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Using SAGA GIS, I am working on the time series analysis of Climate change and Terrain Analysis. SAGA GIS tools are easy to understand, very optimized, and give accurate results. ### 2. An excellent free GIS for marketing **Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Augusto P. | Librero, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2019 **What do you like best about SAGA GIS?** It is free and offer to you a huge amount of feature to work, you can work with data from SQL, OBDC or Postgret, so you can add a lot of attribute and information to your shapefiles using SAGA, besides you can manage a lot of formats, like raster, shapefiles, grid, DEM, tables and more, making the work easier and faster. **What do you dislike about SAGA GIS?** The interphase can be quite annonying, because every single element that you add to your workspace appears separately, so if you want to edit for example an attribute table and watch the shapefile, you have to jump from a square to another to see the results. **Recommendations to others considering SAGA GIS:** If you want a free software to manage spatial data and a lot of information SAGA is for you, but you have to be aware remember this is a free software, so the interphase and some processes can be a little niche. **What problems is SAGA GIS solving and how is that benefiting you?** We develop a system of monitoring and evalution of delivering using SAGA, so we could track our packages, check the routes and evaluate if we are doing the work in the right way, this is because I work as administrator managing this kind of system and I can make a link between spatial data and administration of supplies. ### 3. Few frequently used are raster, shapefiles, grid, DEM, tables etc. **What do you dislike about SAGA GIS?** Interface & API needs serious upgrades, even for seasoned users. E.g. every single element added to the workspace appears separately, so if one wants to edit an attribute table and watch the shapefile, we need to switch among a square to another to see the results. **Recommendations to others considering SAGA GIS:** For organisations, where the requirement is to use only a free software to manage spatial data and a lot of information SAGA is for you, but you have to be aware remember this is a free software, so the interface and some processes can be a little niche. **What problems is SAGA GIS solving and how is that benefiting you?** For our marketing campaigns with Banking for Cross selling and up selling, SAGA is used to develop a system of monitoring and evaluation to track our packages, check the routes and evaluate if we are doing the work in the right way. It offers a wide, growing set of geoscientific methods. **What do you dislike about SAGA GIS?** Its takes time because when we start to use this software we have to do a lot like we have to fill so many forms before using it. **What problems is SAGA GIS solving and how is that benefiting you?** I did make some NMT using this tool and its helps us analyzing different formats of data. ### 6.
