I like how comprehensive yet user-friendly it is. It serves as a centralized management system for our entire company. Having all our safety documents, SDS sheets, and automated OSHA 300 logs in one accessible place is invaluable. I particularly appreciate the analytics tab. The ability to create custom dashboards that show management and employees the information most relevant to them is amazing. The form builder is also a highlight. We use the forms for our training documentation, and building them in the system is very straightforward. Probably what I like most, though, is the customer support. Our contact, Todd, is always available to answer questions and responds promptly. He trained me and my team on how to use the system, which made the whole process very smooth. We’re using the system in a way it wasn’t really designed for—more like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. What problems is SafetyAmp solving and how is that benefiting you? SafetyAmp primarily solves the problem of decentralized safety data and cumbersome compliance tracking across our company. It removes the time-consuming headache of manual OSHA 300 log creation and reduces the confusion that comes from scattered incident reporting. It also addresses the challenge of tracking employee training by allowing us to use the form builder to maintain standardized, easily accessible records. Additionally, the analytics tab and custom dashboards help solve the challenge of communicating safety metrics to upper management in a digestible format, and most of the data we need is fairly easy to display visually. I mainly use SafetyAmp for tracking safety issues, and I appreciate its ease of use, which is fantastic and much more intuitive than many other safety software out there. It makes it super easy to get notifications to the right people without having to manually notify everyone. I love how it allows setting up different chains of command for different departments, so it alerts the right people without broadcasting to everyone. I also enjoy the ability to add pictures to incidents without any hassle, and the feature of having directives automatically sent to the correct individuals is top notch. What do you dislike about SafetyAmp? I find it difficult to see trends at the user level and believe it needs improvement. Trends need to be visible from a company level and then separated by department, area, and individual, but the individual data should also be accessible to their supervisor or manager to distinguish between system and personnel issues. I appreciate that SafetyAmp is very easy to use for our small team, making it simple to manipulate and build forms and deploy checklists. The setup was extremely easy, and the support team was instrumental in helping us migrate two years of data. I also like that they're constantly rolling out new features, which is good for us. Having a tool that is growing with programming technology that is state-of-the-art makes me confident for future improvements. I love that SafetyAmp has completely transformed our recordkeeping and training across multiple locations. The flat annual rate (not charging by user) was a huge selling point for us, especially compared to other platforms. The support team is always responsive and helps me set up visualizations or troubleshoot anything I need, making the platform approachable even if you're not super technical. I wish the platform was more accessible for our field employees who struggle with technology, especially with the login process. Many of our workers have trouble remembering passwords or navigating the system, so a more frictionless, non-login option for submitting forms or hazard reports would be very helpful. Also, some training content, especially in Spanish or specific to agriculture, is lacking or only available with captions, which doesn't work for employees with limited reading comprehension. The platform is pretty simple to navigate and user-friendly The ability to build and customize courses/forms and reports/data visualizations SCORM and third-party certification uploading Auto-generation of OSHA logs and summaries affordable service and tech support is great (shout out to Travis Daniel!!) What do you dislike about SafetyAmp? reporting has some disappointing limitations: -unable to generate zero value data (ex. run a report that shows who doesn't have a certain certification outside of assigned compliance group) -some filtering only allows single selection Visualization creation is a bit clunky and has some undesirable limitations. Graph data colors (like bars) flip/default based on position instead of locking to an assigned data point. (ex, I have stacked graphs showing complete and incomplete, and the colors flip based on which one is the majority, so sometimes green is complete and sometimes orange is complete, which can be deceiving at a quick glance on dashboards) Some of the courses from Atlantic are repeated across similar course titles (ex. ladder safety in construction might be the exact same generic course as ladder safety in office/warehouse) and some of the courses don't function properly. It's cumbersome to have to upload third party certifications via CSV upload, especially if it's just for one or two employees. A feature to manually add one directly would be nice. It's also cumbersome to have to re-activate an employee to retrieve any information like training records or documents. Admin should be able to just access this automatically. Once a phone number gets input under employee details, it cannot be assigned to another user, even if the first one was disabled.  So, In order to update a new employee with a re-assigned work phone (which I'm sure lots of employers do, not just us), we have to re-activate the old employee, delete the number, and then disable them again, then assign it to the new employee.  I would recommend that if an employee is disabled that the info is no longer locked to that employee. Incident Reporting is very Injury-Heavy. If an incident is just a near miss or equipment damage, etc, there's very few fields that are relevant and not much information can be entered other than notes, which doesn't help much with any future reporting/metrics. It would be nice if the form would adapt to the type of incident that was created and popluate relevant fields. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is SafetyAmp solving and how is that benefiting you? Training records are centralized making them easy to track and retrieve. Custom training courses make content more relevant and cost effective. SCORM compatibility is convenient; it allows employees to launch training from a single platform rather than having to set up log-ins for several sites. I really appreciate SafetyAmp's friendly user interface and how easy it is for new users to pick up, which is perfect for our safety department that has employees who aren't very tech-savvy. The excellent recordkeeping for certifications and training stands out for me, as does the OSHA export feature, which is incredibly useful for end-of-year reporting. The initial setup of SafetyAmp was incredibly easy, especially compared to our previous system, which took weeks to implement.
