**What do you like best about Safari Portal?**

I love how easy it is to build in Calendar View and am excited about the new dashboards feature that Jeff is starting to map out. And I'm really excited that we are working with an all-woman run tech business to run our own company.

I was stressed about migrating to a new system - which for some reason we decided to do in the middle of our busiest month (May) and while letting go of our ops person and onboarding a new assistant travel designer. But you are absolutely right that having an operational map in place for your business makes everything flow more easily. 

We're still working out some little kinks (mostly on our end, understanding how to integrate some of our client journey steps into the SP system more seamlessly) but overall it's been fantastic and a lot easier to onboard than expected.

Thank you for recognizing the need for our industry to upgrade and building a beautiful and user friendly system!

**What do you dislike about Safari Portal?**

The integration with insurance still needs a bit of work. It's very easy to quote but the branding of "Safari Portal" is confusing. Redpoint also needs to provide policy holders with better documentation. I hope they bring on more insurance partners in the future so clients can easily compare options for themselves. I DO like that it takes the burden of quoting off of us, though we are still doing a lot of this manually until the integration improves.

**What problems is Safari Portal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quicker turnarounds on proposals. Lots of flexibility on how to present content. Easy to highlight important information on the day to day and add links, google maps, etc. Love the calendar sync function.

**What do you like best about Safari Portal?**

As a design-focused luxury business, the beauty of Safari Portal is what first drew me in over other options. It’s intuitive to use, and the flexibility to customize the look and feel is truly impressive. My clients consistently love the attractive proposals we’re able to create with it. The group bookings feature is also vital to my business, and I rely on it regularly. On top of that, their support team has been incredible—responsive, helpful, and a real asset whenever I need assistance.

**What do you dislike about Safari Portal?**

Dislike is a bit too harsh. I just wish there were more templates or examples showing how other advisors—especially for the Europe market (not just safaris)—use it and customize it, because starting from scratch can sometimes feel overwhelming. You do need to spend time building it out at the beginning for it to feel seamless over time, but that’s true with any platform.

**What problems is Safari Portal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building itineraries is faster than it’s ever been for me. The simplicity and beautiful design help my clients review and confirm bookings more quickly. It’s also reduced a lot of the back-and-forth we used to have—for example, I can send a link where they don’t have to create yet another password, which is AMAZING. I’m only just starting to play with their forms, but being able to collect dietary and passport information and send it to my suppliers in a coded email has been a huge time-saver.

**What do you like best about Safari Portal?**

I find Safari Portal incredibly useful for creating proposals and converting them to sales seamlessly and much easier than before. Clients love the attractive proposals we create using it. I appreciate how it allows us to create inboxes and collect payments swiftly. The financials feature has been a game changer for us, and the integrated forms for collecting guest information are another aspect we like—it makes it very easy for guests to fill them out. Generating an invoice is super simple with just a few clicks, and I also love that automatic reminders are sent. Additionally, their support team is incredible and has been a great help.

**What do you dislike about Safari Portal?**

It was a bit of a learning curve but really with the time spent and again the support team is amazing. If there is one area where they might grow is in the function to generate quotes but I’m sure this is in the pipeline.

Safari Portal makes it easy to create proposals and convert them to sales, and clients love the attractive proposals. We create invoices and collect payments more easily. The financials are a game changer, and the forms are easy for guests to fill out.

**What do you like best about Safari Portal?**

My favorite part about Safari Portal isn’t necessarily a specific feature of the platform. It’s that the Safari Portal team seems to have gotten inside the mind of a travel advisor and streamlined almost all of our day-to-day operations.

**What do you dislike about Safari Portal?**

There are a few nuances I’d like to see updated on the platform, but they don’t take away from the exceptional overall value that Safari Portal provides.

**What problems is Safari Portal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Safari Portal, we were sending out self-crafted proposals and building them from scratch every single time, which took far more effort than it needed to. What I love most is how easy it is to use, how responsive and friendly the team is (shoutout to Pamela!), and how smoothly it fits into our existing systems. It’s also cut down a lot of the back-and-forth we used to have with clients – for example, instead of emailing PDFs back and forth, we can now send form links that clients can quickly fill out and submit, and the information automatically populates our systems and profiles.

**What do you like best about Safari Portal?**

We use Safari Portal for travel itineraries and collecting guest information relevant to their itineraries. It saves us time by streamlining the collection of guest documents and adding flight and transfer details, which eliminates back-and-forth questions about their travel plans.  We really appreciate the messaging function because it lets us connect directly with guests off the platform and update them about changes in real-time. This speeds up communication between consultants and guests, adding great value by allowing more than one traveler or host to be included in the conversation. Switching to Safari Portal has been seamless, and setting it up was super easy!

**What do you dislike about Safari Portal?**

At this stage, the translation feature could still be refined, but we have no doubt this is already in the plans!

**What problems is Safari Portal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Safari Portal to both present itineraries, and for confirmed itineraries.  The information provided to guests is both visually attractive and very informative.

We absolutely love using Safari Portal. It is so intuitive, easy to customise and creates a stunning product for our clients. The team at SP have been amazing in their support and the online resources are all super helpful too. The Lookbooks have been a game changer for us in terms of getting a quick but high quality response back to new enquiries and our existing clients are loving the guest portals - as are we! We are all complete converts just 6 weeks in and are so glad we made the switch from our previous platform.

**What do you like best about Safari Portal?**

Safari Portal just gets it. It’s slick on the front and back end—our clients love the polished look, and our team loves how ridiculously easy it is to use. No manuals, no meltdowns. You don’t need a degree in computer science to build a trip (thank god), and it keeps getting better with every update.

They’re constantly evolving—adding features, squashing bugs, solving real problems before we even know we have them. Each time I log in, there’s something new that makes our lives easier.

Honestly, we’re doing more and more within Safari Portal and relying less on all the clunky side tools we used to juggle. It’s become central to our workflow. And the team? Responsive, reliable, and refreshingly human. No bots, no ticket black holes—just good people who care.

I mean… I should say something here to sound balanced, right? But truthfully, there’s nothing major I dislike.

What I love most about Safari Portal is that it’s a true all-in-one solution — a beautiful CRM, proposal and itinerary builder, marketing platform, and now with integrated Forms, a seamless end-to-end system. The client-facing side is absolutely stunning; every proposal feels like a luxury experience my clients rave about. On the backend, it’s intuitive and visual in a way that supports my ADHD and makes the work feel lighter instead of overwhelming. I also appreciate that this platform was built by a woman who clearly understands both travel advisors and the clients we serve — the workflows, automations, and thoughtful design save me hours and give me confidence. Compared to other platforms I’ve tried (TravelJoy, Vamoos, Travefy, VacationCRM, Ezus, Indie/Tuttle, and more), Safari Portal stands out as the most reliable, polished, and advisor-friendly system on the market.

I’m updating my earlier review after learning that Safari Portal does in fact offer offline access through the Travel Portal app, along with export options for itineraries, lookbooks, and Guest Portals. With that, I can confidently say there are no downsides. Safari Portal is the most thoughtfully built platform I’ve ever used as a travel advisor: an all-in-one CRM, proposal builder, itinerary creator, marketing tool, and now with Forms, a seamless end-to-end system. The client-facing designs are stunning, the workflows are intuitive, and the automations save me both time and money. As someone with ADHD, I especially appreciate how visual and clutter-free the interface is — it actually supports the way I work. Safari Portal isn’t just a platform, it’s the gold standard for modern travel advisors.

Because they were deceloped as a "safari" tool, there is some room for improvement for a general luxury advisor, but they are very oepn to our suggestions and making improvements everyday!

One of the biggest pain points we used to face was creating itineraries that were not only beautiful and detailed, but also easy for clients to read, understand, and share , all without compromising privacy. Readability and personalization are especially important to our clients, many of whom are  coordinating with multiple family members. We switched to Safari Portal and while the migration was a heavy lift, we’re very glad we did. Its broad set of features lets us keep far more under one roof instead of juggling multiple systems. The platform is evolving rapidly, with new and improved functionality rolling out regularly. The team is also highly receptive to feedback and suggestions, which is fantastic. We’ve especially appreciated the hands-on support from Jess and the rest of the Safari Portal team.

Given our predominantly German-speaking client base, we’d love a more robust AI translation integration, especially for nuanced, client-facing documents.

Safari Portal is far more than an itinerary builder. It’s replaced our separate CRM, manually created invoices, and external client booking form - bringing everything into one integrated system.

**What do you like best about Safari Portal?**

I can't speak highly enough about the team behind the scenes.  Yes, it makes gorgeous itineraries.  However, what really stands out is the responsiveness of the team to issues, questions, ideas, or just about anything.  Having a founder that is so invested in making a great product that they can take praise and constructive criticism is  a godsend.  That has enabled us to tailor the product to be a perfect fit for our team and our clients.  It was also super easy to onboard our entire team and the platform is quite intuitive to use.  We also love the recorded webinars weekly to help us all to become super-users!  We are literally in this software all day, every day, and we love it!

**What do you dislike about Safari Portal?**

So far, no downsides!  We're anxiously awaiting financial capabilities and CRM, but I know they're in the works!

It's helping us to create gorgeous itineraries FAST.  These are visually stunning and help us to deliver faster proposals to our travel agency partners.

**What do you like best about Safari Portal?**

This app generates stunning documents and is incredibly easy to use.  Beautiful, colorful, branded travel itineraries created by Safari Portal are perfectly suited to our high-end clients.  The team at Safari Portal has thought of EVERYTHING, and yet is constantly pushing themselves to be better.  The constant innovation, feedback from clients, and superior support have made this transition as flawless as possible.  I couldn't ask for better partners and can't wait to see what the future holds.

I honestly don't have anything negative to say.

**What problems is Safari Portal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The method for which we create itinerary documents - proposals and operational itineraries - is antiquated and cumbersome.  Printed .pdf documents are outdated and cannot be easily updated.  Safari Portal not only creates a much more visually appealing itinerary with photos, icons, videos, and more, but also provide an online platform through which we can easily provide our clients with updates as needed while traveling.

Safari Portal is incredibly user-friendly. It has a well-designed UI and excellent functionality. It is a pleasure to use and generates high-end products that you can be proud to share with clients. The team is very hands-on, providing consistent updates, communication, and training sessions for their users. They are open to suggestions and quick to respond to queries. This software is continuously improving while remaining highly polished, beautiful, and delivering exactly what it promises, making it a brilliant sales, marketing and administrative tool.

**What do you like best about Safari Portal?**

"Hospitality is about making people feel seen, creating moments of genuine connection, and transforming ordinary transactions into extraordinary experiences." This philosophy, as expressed in Unreasonable Hospitality, perfectly encapsulates Safari Portal and what it brings to our industry. 

When I first saw it in use last year by a DMC, I was blown away by the itineraries I saw. But it isn't just an itinerary builder. It is a method and system for managing the entire pre-travel (and on-trip) experience. The platform is easy to use, very flexible to craft visually stunning itineraries and lookbooks to motivate guests and trip leaders (pied pipers). Every detail can be seamlessly woven into a digital format that guests can access effortlessly on any device. 

However, much like the retail strategy Signal of Scarcity/Luxury or Minimalist Luxury Aesthetic, Safari Portal works well when utilizing restraint. A minimalistic, spacious retail shop subconsciously signals that products are expensive. Customers associate cluttered stores with lower-cost, mass-market goods, while high-end retailers use space as a status symbol.

The lookbooks, itineraries, guestportals, and online invoicing and payment systems reflect the notion that travel should feel like an elegant coffee table book, not a hectic catalog.

From the operational side, Safari Portal dramatically reduces the time spent building itineraries while enhancing quality every directly. The ability to store pre-designed templates, automate pricing calculations, and integrate supplier information means that itineraries are crafted in a fraction of the time, allowing me to focus on other tasks.

None that I've noticed. Though I wish there was an on the go app version for users.

The system is very intuitive and easy to navigate.  It has definitely helped increase our sales in providing beautiful itineraries to our clients.  The team are always available to help and assist and listen to any feedback or ideas.  They are always looking at ways to improve the system.

**What do you dislike about Safari Portal?**

It was the lack of accounting functions but this has been addressed with expense and payment tracking now so definitely going int he best direction as they continue to add new features.

**What do you like best about Safari Portal?**

Everything has been going GREAT with Safari Portal! I dove right in and have enjoyed working with it, which has been quite intuitive (as promised). 

Rachel, thank you for all that you do. You have created a wonderful product and cultivated an excellent team! Clearly, you lead by example.

Emma and Rachel always super helpful and highly responsive when I had/have my silly questions at hand - thank you for that. 

Our clients are also enjoying the new format quite a bit which is fantastic! Setting up our own pages has been really nice and so much easier especially since we tend to use the same properties that we have partnered with over the years and love so much.
 
All in all, I’ve been finding our own ‘groove’ within the program which does save a lot of time – just like I knew it would.

**What do you dislike about Safari Portal?**

This is a little thing which certainly does not impede our satisfaction with this application whatsoever ... While Rachel has helped to make our logo a bit bigger, there are times when I wish our company's logo could be more prominent. With that said, I do understand why it is designed the way it is as it is hard to accommodate different kinds of logos - a standardization has to be made at some stage.

The pricing ... well, it is an investment - kind of like the trips that we design! We decided to invest in our company and to make our itineraries 'shine'. So far, it has been worth it.

Our itineraries were being formatted in a .doc and would take up way too much time! Formatting in Word can be a challenge and one that I would not look forward to. With Safari Portal, while you need to invest the time upfront to get your properties set up and find your own 'style', the time (and frustration) that is being saved has been quite beneficial.

As of December 2022, I've been a Safari Portal user & faithful supporter ever since I made the switch from a different builder that I had been subscribed to since 2019. I couldn't be more happy or satisfied overall. It's beautifully designed, easy to use and an immense time saver. My clients have also only shared positive feedback when they have viewed their travel itineraries on this platform.

There are SO many things I like best about Safari Portal that it's difficult for me to just choose one. Outside of the functionality & the final deliverable provided by this program, I would have to say the behind the scenes team really makes all the difference. I found Safari portal easy to use, elegannt with a sopshisticated look that we need. I love the fact that can be personalized according to our needs.

From the moment you start using Safari Portal, you can tell it was made by people who care, and by people who have extensive expertise in travel. Every single feature and tool has been meticulously thought out and executed. The platform is also constantly striving to innovate, with new features and upgrades emerging to make the experience even more tailored to its users. I am especially grateful to Rachel and her team for always being on hand to answer any questions I may have, particularly in helping a new member of my team.

My favourite element has to be the new 'Guest Portal' feature, which allows suppliers, clients and agents to view and add information and content to a beautifully presented 'hub'. The attention to detail and ability to customise to each clients' preferences is unmatched and I could not recommend Safari Portal more.

**What do you dislike about Safari Portal?**

It might be useful to have a more in-depth starter course that's easily shared with my team for all new users to use or a 1-1 demo as part of the subscription, although the support team and help videos have been helpful. 

The most important improvement that I would also like to see happen is more content on destinations and accommodation. The best thing would be if we could directly export information from Hotel websites for example, so that we don't have to manually input each detail on rooms and location etc.

At last - itinerary planning software that appropriately balances the multiple dynamics in play when trying to showcase complex, high value, travel opportunities in a timely manner to our customers. 
Safari Portal has clearly been designed by people who have walked the travel consultant journey.  It has the best balance between straightforwardness of use, flexibility, and ability to generate excitement in the customer that I've yet to come across in the itinerary planning space.  
And I should also say - the team has demonstrated open culture to handling dumb questions from slow adopters like me.   So 10/ 10 for their support provision.

The program features allow customization without complicated training - it is very intuitive. And, it has high-quality images that are not normally available in other programs. There is hardly any back and forth with questions from inquiries as most questions are answered within the software.

**What do you like best about Safari Portal?**

Safari Portal gives us our time back to do what we do best! Making itineraries used to take days, now it takes minutes! Having the option to make our own property pages and use our own images is also a huge bonus.

**What do you dislike about Safari Portal?**

The only downside is the high price in dollars coming from a country with a failing currency.

**What problems is Safari Portal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have felt several times we have missed out on bookings because we have not provided adequate offerings or materials to the clients in time. Now we can have a great looking product to the clients in minutes.
