## Ryver Reviews
  ### 1. The best solution for a team which must communicate with a lot of external stakeholders

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alessandro F. | Vicepresidente, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

The pricing model fits perfectly for my agency, where we need to include a lot of external stakeholders inside communications.
Our partners, customers and collaborators always found a gentle on-boarding phase.
Built-in mailboxes and tasks features improved the way we manage some of our workflows.
If you have a breadcrumb of OPs knowledge in your team, you can integrate Ryver with a huge amount of 3rd parties services thanks to advanced incoming webhooks and Zapier integration.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

At the moment there is no localization for grammar spell and date/time format.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

* Shared inbox management
* worry free "invite who you need on the project" thanks to a pricing model not based on single heads
* quite effective task management boards without leaving the communication tool

  ### 2. Simple solution for sending messages, group chats, and tracking tasks.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

The user interface for messaging co-workers is very easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

Each time the software automatically updates it does not reconnect for you. You have to manually reconnect.

**Recommendations to others considering Ryver:**

Keep the group chats to only the people necessary to the conversation.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it for communicating with other employees.

  ### 3. Nearly perfect tool with some short comings

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

Simplicity of the interfaces (Browser, iOS), forum short codes, preview of files, task management, stability/reliability of the platform,

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

- There is no backup solution so far. This should be fixed asap!!! Backups in .xml format preferred.
- There is no support for "General Data Protection Regulation". Every customer has to conclude an individual contract with Ryver. This is not state of the art.
- The task management is missing "dependencies" between tasks.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It takes communication with teammates and clients to the next level. If you add Backup solution, task dependencies and "General Data Protection Regulation" support, Ryver would be the all-in-one management solution.

  ### 4. Ryver is the best

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

It is so easy to use, sub group categories and the search features work so well. Just so easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

We have not experienced any real downsides to using Ryver. It has been pretty glitch free.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to be in constant contact with my work partners, it is an easy tool to keep each other looped in on the days activities.

  ### 5. A good communication tool that lacks a few features but gets regularly updated

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

It's a good communication tool that does what is required. You can easily add new users, create public/private rooms. There has not been any major downtime that would have impaired our ability to communicate inside our company or with our partners.

They're constantly trying to improve their product by rolling out updates every few weeks.

The price is also really attractive with a one-time payment compared to a solution where you pay for every user you add.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

The administration settings are not complete enough. For example, admins can't view all the rooms created to manage them.
We have to use an external website for voice communication which is not really convenient. We can't organize the rooms in the order we wantBut I know that Ryver is trying to fix these problems.

**Recommendations to others considering Ryver:**

You should just go ahead and install it to see if it suits your needs and if you feel comfortable using it.

If a feature you'd like is missing you can always check their product ideas forum to see if they are working on it.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With our previous communication software, we had trouble communicating with people outside of our company. We could add them to our rooms but as soon as they disconnected, they lost the message history. That was the main reason we switched to Ryver.

  ### 6. Ryver Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

Easy navigation makes this application worth switching from another company. The other is the reasonable pricing for the smaller companies trying to grow and cut cost. The pricing is very fair.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

Not enough admin controls over the group channels. No control over emails that we want released as notifications.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communications with my team. Being able to add potential new clients as guests makes them see the type of daily activity. We can ask them in real time from a staff member and ask questions about there marketing or vice versa without have to pick up the phone. Dealing with social media as a form or a CRM system isnt good. Employees end up surfing the web or other social sites. Inviting possible new accounts in shows a level of professionalism from a small company like ours but feels bigger with communications from everyone of us.

  ### 7. Ryver turned out to be better than Slack for our Mastermind Group

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

Being able to use different channels to talk about different parts of our business helps us concentrate on each topic. The search is really useful to find a topic we've talked about previously.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

There isn't anything I dislike about Ryver to be honest

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Effective communication with members across multiple time zones.

  ### 8. switching to ryver

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew C. | Product Engineering Intern, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

so far there are some new features that our previous communication app didnt have. the ability to easily create tasks and manipulate the task categories are great. the topic sections within the forum help keep things organized. also the ability to add "guests" to specific areas only is great too.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

the notifications are a little lackluster. but if you are heavily involved in your group you should be looking at the app at least once an hour.

**Recommendations to others considering Ryver:**

i would switch to it if your project is incredibly complex. we have 3-4 divisions and require that some things are kept separate and some where the entire group needs to have input. ryver lets us do this.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we are only a few weeks into ryver but things are much more organized and its so much easier to setup tasks and assign them to the appropriate people.

  ### 9. Good features, Good Price and suits my needs currently

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

I like best that I can create tasks inside of private teams and the price is really good if you have more than 15 people inside the company. I also love the idea that I can create forums and thus enhancing communities but with no charges to my billing.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

I am currently disliking the design in both Mobile and Desktop, I would love a fresher design and a few additional features which can enhance my project management side.

**Recommendations to others considering Ryver:**

I think you can safely say that you can use its features if you are looking for a good alternative to slack and it has some nice ideas integrated inside of it.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am streamlining communication for a remote company so its really good. A benefit I might add is that it has a really great task, topic and chat system.

  ### 10. Best what we've found for NGO

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

connecting 3 most important functions: chat, forum, task management

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

Missing the place where I can see my all personal tasks from various forums and teams. There is only my personal/private tasks.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organising many cultural events. Talking and doing tasks without using Facebook :)

  ### 11. Fantastic product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

It provides all of the productivity tools we need in a single place.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

It think the android app can be much better. It is very slow. Should try to implement something similar to WhatsApp.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It improves team communication hence overall efficiency.

  ### 12. It brings our team together and ensures everyone knows what is going on!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simon F. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

You can have multiple teams in one easy to manage space. Direct messaging works well. It helps to distill lots of information and keeps everyone up to date. Nobody gets missed out.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

Notification emails can get really annoying and turn people off using the system. It can be notification overload.

**Recommendations to others considering Ryver:**

Try it out with a smaller group first so you learn what to do before expanding.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are making sure our cohort of businesses on our accelerator programme are aware of what is going on can engage with the team and each other. It has made sure our founders are engaged and the team have visibility of all the companies on the programme.

  ### 13. Combination of Slack and Trello but with some features redacted

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jan Ellis E. | Software Developer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

The seamless integration of task management and communications in one window.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

Online status does not really reflect the current status of the user.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trying to replace or totally remove the use of emails for internal communications and task management.

  ### 14. Short on communication - awkward functionality

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

It's got the typical functionality in a nice user interface.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

The sine qua non of software functionality is the trade-off between what it can do and how easy it is to use. Ryver misses the boat on both accounts.
But worse, I found it to be a bait and switch on pricing. I signed up for one price, but then they charged me a different/higher price. And it took me lots of arguing to get back to our original agreement.
It was very painful communicating with them about features and pricing.

**Recommendations to others considering Ryver:**

Don't use the product. There are many other competitors out there that are much easier to use and have more advanced functionality.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All we needed was a team collaboration tool like Slack, but in order to get basic features, they required an upgrade.

  ### 15. A great alternative to Slack

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chin K. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

I like the ability to create topics so it is easier to separate out discussions.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

need to create teams to add a group of users

**Recommendations to others considering Ryver:**

Try it if your cost for Slack is too high.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

messaging for email replacement

  ### 16. Great way to communicate with lots of team members!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** JESSICA W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

I love that you can create different teams so you can have multiple private conversations with teams and make sure everyone who needs to know something can get the information. I like being able to create topics within the teams to keep things organized. Its also nice to be able to tag people so you make sure they are notified.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

I wish they had a calendar capability so we could also have group calendars within the app.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are all communicating better and keeping important information where everyone can access it.

  ### 17. Simple and Easy to Use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2018

I dislike having to pay for additional users beyond the 5 provided

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps streamline communication and file sharing

  ### 18. Wonderful replacement for Slack

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

Keeping history, assigning tasks for others, creating topics separately, interactive chats.

  ### 19. Ryver is a good collaboration tool for all the stakeholders for any kid of organization

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** vijaykumar c. | Business Analyst, E-Learning, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

I like all the features which are exist. Like mostly is search fucnitonality, by this can see what I had discussed past date with actual content.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

I could not say anything which i disclike from Ryver as it was solve all the problems whih i face to collaborate with the team, where team members might be present in any geo location.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communicating with the team mates who are working from different locations, exchanging the documents, to know the each other tasks status, creating different groups with in the organization and communicating with them globally.

  ### 20. Ryver has been a great tool for managing multiple projects with different teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

The simplicity and ease of creating, using and following discussions on a number of topics. These projects would not have been possible to complete using email.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

I would like to see more editing/ formatting options (bullets, numbered bullets, italics...) within the topics. It would also be handy to have an option for dragging or moving topics from one discussion to another.

**Recommendations to others considering Ryver:**

We looked at several other options on the market. Given the number of projects we needed to run and the variety of people involved, Ryver seemed like our best bet. We have been very happy with the level of engagement from those involved.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Significantly improved group discussions.

  ### 21. RYVER as a colaboration tool

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andreas M. | Partner, Management Consulting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

Chat messages , topics and Kanban all together into one in a intergrated manner. Its great :-)

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

The look and feel (a bit old fashioned and rigid). Not a true window based app. A better integration with other apps will also be ver helpfull (ex: with Google suite).

**Recommendations to others considering Ryver:**

It worth trying :-)

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Department and cross department colaboration. Immediate and fast. It help us to bulid a proper colaboration culture.

  ### 22. The fastest adoption of any tech by my team over En years of time as a company —culture game changer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

Price compared to slack. Adoption rate.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

It seems there are way fewer integrations than with slack. Dropbox etc.

**Recommendations to others considering Ryver:**

Yes. It’s great. But need more integrations

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We immediately ended the tyranny of email silos, g-chat silos, and even Basecamp slowness/incorrect forum for the kind of project coordination we needed.

  ### 23. Great alternative to Slack. Leaves the door open for features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francois B. | Project Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

As an alternative to slack or Google hangouts, Ryver is best. The addition of a task manager is extremely handy if you run a business that needs project management on a very high level.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

. It does need refinement, it needs to have a calendar integration (outlook or Gmail) as well as task due date calendar integration and Gantt chart style vue. Sharing documents could also be refined as certain file types download improperly. Pricing recently changed and favours larger customers but is cost prohibitive ve for small companies. That needs to changes asap.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Internal communication, task management.

  ### 24. Team of 12 working smoothly

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike S. | MGRM, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

The interface is intuitive. Since the last update both the mobile app and desktop app have been completely stable. The tasks system is easy to use and the multiple boards allow for great project separation.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

I wish there were a few more bots. Is. A time clock bot.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our entire team is managed remotely using ryver it is our office.

  ### 25. Great, inexpensive communication tools

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

We love that our whole team can communicate via Ryver. It helps to have all documentation and messages in one place.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

I wish the private message features were more robust - would be nice to be able to private message more than one person at a time, instead of needing to create a new team.

**Recommendations to others considering Ryver:**

If you are looking at Slack or Trello, this is the best of both worlds at a great pricepoint.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication between teams and departments, brainstorming, and sharing information have been a big part of how our business uses Ryver.

  ### 26. Getting a Handle on Committees

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Denise R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

Being able to administer various committees in our organization with Private Teams, Topics and Tasks is just what we needed. While they've tried other collaboration software in the past, Ryver seems the most intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

So far, I don't have enhancement suggestions. Getting user adoption is the biggest challenge.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Focused discussion, clear outline of projects, document sharing

  ### 27. Great alternative to slack

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

Simple and cost effective. Tasks is a big bonus over slack.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

Use to be more cost effective. Some files such as engineering documents cannot be transferred over the platform

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Inter office communication to minimize email.

  ### 28. Use for trading forum

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

Ryver enables us to share ideas, files, create topics for further discussion and create a team environment

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

I'd like to be able to add more users in the free version

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sharing trading ideas

  ### 29. Chat without Tasks makes you a slacker

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin M. | Advisory Board Member, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

UX that works the way business people do

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

Slack users bashing what they don't know... while that tool may be great for programmer and project managers, I wish more people knew about Ryver's integrated tasks. Then I'd have a lot less reply all emails and random texts that are not connected to my tasks or goals

**Recommendations to others considering Ryver:**

If you want to be more productive and make collaboration lead to getting stuff done, jump in the Ryver

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improve productivity by escaping "email hell" - too many reply alls, to many CYA's, to many email and text that are not connected to the very TASKS that must get completed.

Ryver's value is less time searching for what was communicated, more time getting stuff done!

  ### 30. Best business communication tool we’ve used!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

We love the ease of use and constant updates! Having all of our business communication in one place has been vital for our team’s success!

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

Sometimes, the iPhone app notifications do not always work. However, Ryver has been constantly improving their notification systems.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication is key to any businesses success. Ryver allows us to easily communicate with our entire team or parts of our team on any project any time. Furthermore, their tools for topics and tasks take the communication further into actionable items that help us accomplish our tasks.

  ### 31. Good basic team communication tool

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

The major advantage of Ryver is the price: a single price for you team, no matter how many users or guests you have.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

There's a lot of missing features such as screen sharing and voice call (one on one and group).

**Recommendations to others considering Ryver:**

If you want a stable price point: Ryver is good. If you want all the latest feature, look somewhere else.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes conversation organized by project a lot easier than using emails. We save time and we can keep all the history for every project.

  ### 32. Our Preferred Way to Communicate with Clients

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

I like that Ryver offers different ways to communicate with all of our clients in one platform. Managing all of our conversations in one (searchable) place helps us to do two things: 1) Make sure that no important messages/requests from our clients falls through the cracks, and 2) Keeps us from feeling overwhelmed by email messages that are a time suck to read through.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

Remembering multiple passwords for each of our clients

**Recommendations to others considering Ryver:**

Move your email and chat conversations over to Ryver. It's a life-changer. As a business owner, it's a lot less stressful to pop into Ryver a few times a day to see if anyone has tagged me in a conversation that needs my attention than it is to open my email Inbox and read through 100's of emails. I save hours every day! People recommended Slack to me, but chat can't replace the type of conversions I have with my clients, and I needed a solution to better manage threaded discussions.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ryver makes it easier for us to manage conversations and share information with all of our clients through a single interface. Unlike with email, we no longer get inundated with messages from cc'ers, which used to be a huge distraction. With Ryver, we've been able to be more responsive to our clients and no important information falls through the cracks. Now that they have task management, we use Ryver after each client meeting to summarize meetings and create action items.

I like that it is free for small teams and works well.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

Sometimes the notifications don't work so well.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Chatting with remote colleague

  ### 34. Ryver review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mario V. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

Ability to have a single point for team communications without depending on the clutter of emails along with the ability to manage tasks, team members and multiple projects. Simple to use software for a variety of users with different experience levels.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

Looks good all around. Generally no dislikes. The user interface and display of information could use some improvement or at least allow users to customize. I have noticed some improvements so not a big concern.

**Recommendations to others considering Ryver:**

Try it, you will like it.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improved communications by staying more closely connected to team members while also improving team performance and deliverables via the task function. Great for brainstorming and organizing and managing projects.

  ### 35. Forget about emails and have a real conversation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

Ryver is an awesome platform that makes communication with other members of my team so much easier. I like the ability to form open forums and private chat rooms with the members on my team based on specific projects. Moving from email, the contrast in productivity is day and night.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

I think the Android app can be improved to make it a bit quicker like WhatsApp. Since the system moved to a subscription based system, I and the members of my team already notes a difference. I think the new resources will help improve user experience on smartphones.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having everything in a continuous conversation eliminates the need for going back and forth between emails. This saved me so much time.

  ### 36. Just what we needed

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

Ryver has provided a way for our nonprofit charitable organization to keep all our communication and documentation for each client in its own unique forum.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

We've had some trouble figuring out notifications.

**Recommendations to others considering Ryver:**

Give it a try and see if it meets your needs.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to rely on email to communicate about clients, but the long and tangled email threads made it difficult to keep track of things. It also made it difficult to pull up information about repeat clients.

  ### 37. Strong Slack competitor with a better pricing model

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

More intuitive and cleaner interface than competitive products makes Ryver an easier platform to bring new teams up to speed on. The pricing model, which is based more on what you use, than how many people, also makes it easier to start with Ryver and upgrade as your effort progresses.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

Ryver is somewhat behind Slack in terms of integrations with third party platforms. It's catching up however. One aspect of Ryver I'd like to see improved is how it handles a user moving between teams. I set up a new account for each new project and team, which is a little cumbersome.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I looked to Ryver as a tool to contain all team interaction and document tracking in a single platform. Ryver mostly handles this need, with the one exception of how I have to do a work around for multiple "companies" or teams.

  ### 38. Exceptionally happy with Ryver!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dr. David G. B. | Founding Director and Senior Mentor/Teacher, Writing and Editing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

The functionality of this service is outstanding. Our teams find the service to be intuitive and comprehensive for our needs.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

There is nothing I dislike about this product

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

What we need is a strong communication platform. Ryver gives us this in spades!

  ### 39. Good communications tool, but lacking certain features

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Russell W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

I like the simplicity of Ryver, makes it easy to create forums and groups

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

Lacking some features I would expect. Tasks aren't easy to setup or use

**Recommendations to others considering Ryver:**

If you are looking just for a slack alternative (for team/group communication), Ryver is a good choice. If you are looking for primarily task collaboration, Ryver is not the right tool.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Team communication in one system. Makes working from home and other locations a lot easier

  ### 40. Used in our Church Office, immediately made a huge difference

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

Ease of use & the ability to communicate in a team environment in a direct way, without a mountain of emails

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

Would like to be able to set reminders on tasks assigned to team menes

**Recommendations to others considering Ryver:**

Ease of use, even for those who are not particularly computer-savvy, great support via youtube teaching videos. We started with one part of our organisation employing Ryver & have expanded to other departments with equal success.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication, which is huge.

  ### 41. Ryver is a great tool!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 22, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

I love Ryver because it's great for team communication and collaboration. It has some functionality that other communication platforms lack, such as setting and assigning tasks to other team members. We found that extremely useful. Turning chat into action is the key here!

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

It is lacking some functionality, but we are currently using the free version and I believe the paid version will address a lot of this.

**Recommendations to others considering Ryver:**

Ryver is a fantastic tool. Very similar to Slack and it pays to try them both, but we are very happy with the app.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Effective communication with our virtual team members!

  ### 42. Perfect for Teamwork

**Reviewed by:** Katrina M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2018

Keeps communications and projects organized.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

I’m still new to Ryver but don’t have any recommendations for improvement.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Way better than using email for communications.

  ### 43. Excellent business platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

Nothing at all except the pricing model change. It's the perfect app for my needs.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ryver is perfect for coaching my clients as I can segment discussions by topic, message individually and post relevant content that's easy to find.

  ### 44. Collaboration Done Right

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

All in one viewing of tasks with communication and collaboration

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Task management of ongoing product development and consulting arrangements. Real time communication between team members and clients across all devices.

  ### 45. Best communication platform

  ### 46. Straightforward chat and task app

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joel A. | CEO, Co-founder, Public Relations and Communications, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

I've used Slack and Hipchat in other environments, but really like using Ryver. It's very easy to use and has everything our team needs. The recent addition of a task app is seamless.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

Not the prettiest app in the world, But I'm more concerned with performance.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Wer''re a virtual team and the app helps us collaborate..

  ### 47. Ryver

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Networking | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

The interface is simple and easy to use. Very easy to find information.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

I'm not in love with the way threads / responses are shown. With each response, the complete thread is repeated.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy communication and collaboration with our team.

  ### 48. Great and more affordable alternative to slack!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2017

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

I only used slack for a few weeks, so I wasn't super familiar with it, but as far as I can tell, Ryver is just as good! It's very easy to communicate with various team members and channels. It's also very easy to direct message someone.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

There isn't much I dislike. It seems to be a pretty good way to communicate across channels and with team members. It is very easy to direct message someone and also very easy to have separate channels to have different themed discussions.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is very easy to communicate with team members quickly. We have a somewhat small office, so communication has never been hard, but it makes communication a lot easier and able to be done quickly and efficiently. We also have a few channels that are more for socializing rather than talking directly about work. Those channels are nice because it's nice to get a small break from work and talk about other topics every once in a while.

  ### 49. Slack + Trello = AWESOME!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2018

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

“Topics” (FB-like posts) for 1:M communications is FAR superior to Slack Chat in channels... too much chaos because of multiple conversations happening at once.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

Wish I could disable Chat for Teams so I could force Topic only 1:M conversations.

**Recommendations to others considering Ryver:**

Train your users to use Posts (aka. “Topics”) instead of Chat when communicating 1:M in Teams.

Also, only use Private Teams. Don’t use Forums — Norifications don’t work as you would expect in Forums.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Team communications are now all in one place, and easily searchable.

  ### 50. Slack for free

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anuradha W. | Software Engineer, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2017

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

We were using Slack before we heard about Ryver. It had the same features and options slack provided, but for free. No limits, no restrictions, no charges. Ryver performs very well as a collaborative tool and helped our team manager our daily work thru instant communication as well as "like" and comment using "Posts" functionality in Ryver

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

Ryver has a lot to improve, their mobile app is not as good as that of Slack's. There are fewer integrations available, but most are handled used Zappier. The windows app lags a bit, and sometimes crashes, but it has been stable after the latest updates.

**Recommendations to others considering Ryver:**

If you're looking for a tool that is as good as Slack but for free, well then Ryver is the one for you. Perfect solution with all the functionality you'd expect from a team collaboration software.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a tool that will act as a central storage for all our chats and posts. Ryver was the perfect solution. It is free, and has all the functionality we required. This includes, conversation history, channels, posts, and the ability to comment on these posts. Also to have polling options for users to vote.
