  ### 1. Full-featured PSA With Simple Interface

**What do you like best about Ruddr Professional Services Automation?**

I love how full featured the product is while also maintaining a simple and intuitive interface. I'm able to be very flexible about how projects are created. For example, creating a project as time & material, flat-fee, or even monthly flat-fee with an hours budget are all possible. While the team is small, I expect Ruddr to scale with the business. Their customer service has always been very responsive and easy to reach.

**What do you dislike about Ruddr Professional Services Automation?**

There are two things that Ruddr could improve. 

1. Integrations. There just aren't very many integrations available. For us, Quickbooks is the most important, but if we ever wanted to move from QB to a different accounting solution, it would be difficult due to the lack of other integrations. This is just an observation. For us, it's not even an annoyance at the moment.

2. Reselling products. It is possible to resell products (very common as a vCISO), but it is a bit wonky. We do it by creating new projects dedicated to the product being sold to the customer. It would be useful if this was a standalone feature with screens and reports specific to reselling. This is a feature that we measurably improve our workflow.

**What problems is Ruddr Professional Services Automation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a small cybersecurity and compliance consulting agency that started in 2022 completely bootstrapped. We needed a tool from day 1 that supported solid customer, project, time tracking, invoicing, and Quickbooks integrations. Ruddr fit the requirements perfectly. Their billing model makes so much sense for a small consulting organization, but I expect us to keep using it even as we grow larger.

In addition to the QBO integration we have an accounting integration with Xero and will be adding Netsuite and Sage Intacct as well. Plenty of other integrations will be added in the future as well. Regarding product reselling, currently we do have the ability to invoice those via our "Other Items to Bill" ledger on the Accounting tab of the Edit Project drawer. We will look to expand that functionality over time though!

**What do you like best about Ruddr Professional Services Automation?**

We are a tiny tiny little company... two people working part time. The fact that this enterprise class tool is available to us (for free, for now), is shocking. Especially in this world where you can't even have a glass of water on a plane without a fee. Ruddr does everything one would expect in the realm of time tracking, and can even invoice. We use Quickbooks for our accounting, and there's a bit of manual work to migrate the hours from Ruddr into Quickbooks - probably because I haven't figured out the integration quite yet - but it's NOTHING compared to the massive pain in the rubber parts it could be. 

Of note, the reporting is tight. Very very clean and detailed. Pretty much everything you'd need to track and report for clients. 

Also, how often do you get a product where, if you have a question, you can just chat with a developer in real time? The support is outstanding. 

I'm sure one day these guys will sell this product for a gazillion dollars, and they'll deserve to. I hope they buy a nice boat with the proceeds and never have to work again. Until then, I'm very very happy to have Ruddr.  Thanks so much.

The UI is very responsive, looks minimal, and is feature rich as well. Shortcuts like "copy last week's row" etc makes work much easier  we been using it as our daily tracker for an year and it's been amazing

I love the look and feel of the app. The thinking behind the functionality is very thorough... AND they have a roadmap of new functionality coming thick and fast which is really going to make Ruddr a game-changer. The support we have received through the trial, purchase, and onboarding has been second to none. They have gone way beyond expectations. In our situation, we migrated from another system... so Ruddr had a lot of work on their hands... but they managed brilliantly. This made implementation a breeze, which is great on top of an app that is already straightforward to use. 
Ruddr is always open, always being used, and at the centre of what we do as a consulting firm.

**What do you dislike about Ruddr Professional Services Automation?**

Ruddr is relatively new on the market and thus has some features that are still in the pipeline - if you need them. So, while using Ruddr, we are watching the new functions roll in every few weeks, which means any current gaps are being filled really quickly

**What do you like best about Ruddr Professional Services Automation?**

What I like most about the software is the ease with which you can record your time, manage your projects and see the status of each one. As a user I mainly use it to record the hours worked on projects, this function is excellent and relatively easy to do. Integrating it with the projects is comfortable and simple since you can create them and add functions according to your needs and I like that a lot.

**What do you dislike about Ruddr Professional Services Automation?**

What I like least about Ruddr is that it is not the most intuitive tool that exists and the fact that I can't access it on my mobile phone because it doesn't have a responsive design that allows me to do so. Some things are “hidden” in the menu and in sections where I would not expect these functions to be.

The main problem that Ruddr solves in my work is the time and task management of the different projects we work on. It benefits us a lot because we have everything unified in one place and so not only us as users but also our project manager and other administrative positions have the control and the constancy of what each of us is spending our time on.

We've had fantastic support and guidance in onboarding and beginnning our Ruddr journey from the Ruddr team. Looking forward to the new functionality on the roadmap which will further enhance a great offering.

At this stage I am missing the ability to customise reports. There is a workaround via Excel but look forward to being able to develop custom reports in Ruddr

**What do you like best about Ruddr Professional Services Automation?**

Ruddr is a easy to use, but yet complex tracking for professional services organizaitons. Most tools are costly even when your company is small. My favorite part of Ruddr is it's flexible pricing model that allows us as a small company to have a solid, first-class tool that we can grow into as we grow! I also like that it was built by people who have run a professional services organizaiton so they truly understand the metrics and ares of difficulty in managing a services organization.

I would like to have the ability to add some custom fields so hoping some day this will be possible since their roadmap seems agressive and proactive.

**What problems is Ruddr Professional Services Automation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem Ruddr solves for us it the ability to "turn off" people when not billing. With a smaller organization, PSA tools can be cost prohibative or just lack features and capabilities. With Ruddr, we can have the best of both worlds.

**What do you like best about Ruddr Professional Services Automation?**

I would start with the overall customer service provided, from the initial sales dicussions with Matt who took time to understand our requirements and helped us to make an informed decision to choose Ruddr. We were then introduced to Jason who took us through a very clear and structured onboarding process and was a reassuring and knowledgable prescence throughout.  Jason continued to provide excellent ongoing support throughout our implementation. The features of the platform itself is very user friendly with the simplicity of the product being it's stongest asset. We also find the speed of load times is great and the reports are generated quickly. There is a wide variety of useful metrics available which enables Agenor to analyse project perfomance effectively.

**What do you dislike about Ruddr Professional Services Automation?**

The one feature that would enhance the tool is if it tracked time in days as well as hours as this is the model in which Agenor operate. Jason has assured us that this is part of their development roadmap.

**What problems is Ruddr Professional Services Automation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cost of PSA: Ruddr is an exceptionally cost effective tool compared to other platforms we have used and reviewed:

Centralising Time Tracking: Extremely user friendly and simple to use

Expenses: Easy for users to upload receipts and reports. Central admin team able to manage specific expense categories effectively

Project Analysis: Easy to set up and configure projects, assign resources and get a clear overview of project revenue, cost, profit and budget management

Client Invoicing: Templates and invoice customisation options are great. The automated billing process is very straight forward with invoices being generated seamlessly

The onboarding process was very helpful and hands on. The Ruddr team was attentive and felt like an extension of our team. I looked forward to our calls to dig in and learn more about the tool.

Ruddr is constantly taking feedback and making improvements, but at this moment our team has been wishing for the ability to copy previous day's rows in the daily time tracking timer view rather than having to create new rows when starting a timer each day. 

It would also be great to have a list of or more visibility on what reports each user role is able to view.

**What problems is Ruddr Professional Services Automation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ruddr is helping us eliminate the need for multiple tools and spreadsheets but being able to do more in one place. It is very userfriendly for our team.

In the workspace settings, you (or a Workspace Admin) can turn on the "Allow time entries to be copied from the previous week" setting. Then, on the week view of the time screen you will be able to either 1) copy the previous week's projects to the new week (with no time entries filled in); or 2) copy the previous week's projects and time entries to the new week. Give it a shot!

**What do you like best about Ruddr Professional Services Automation?**

Ruddr was everything they said it was in our demo and more. Seamless integration with QBO, and Expensify, the onboarding process was amazing, Jason was extremely helpful and always there with the answer! Our conversion was so easy and done within a day or less, setting up the clients and projects was the best way to learn the system with Jason right there to answer any questions.  I find myself working in Ruddr daily and finding more things that it can help us with than we originally planned. Shortly after implementation we decided to add our independent contractors because it was so easy to use and a more accurate way to capture their time.  Invoicing in Ruddr is amazing and we have quickly switched our process over from QBO invoices to Ruddr.

I have not found it yet all of my questions are resolved quickly by Jason!

I'm used to keeping track of my time based on the project number. Unfortunately Ruddr does not seem to allow project number search while adding to the timesheet.

Fit for purpose professional services time tracking and billing platform.  Super intuitive but highly flexible and fully functional.  We transition from a custom built platform and Rudder was able performed 99% of our old systems capabilities right out of the box.  The number 1 best part of Rider is their customer service, responsiveness and besides that, they are just good people.

So far, nothing that I dislike.  There are features that would be nice to have, but these features such as an android app are coming soon.

In our old system, project status reporting required hours of work.  This taxed the project managers such that they often were reactive on Costs verses being proactive.  The visibility was just not easily available to quickly manage projects and teams.  Ruddr solved this for us.  Also, with it's integration with QuickBooks online, we will send invoicing and receive payment sooner and we will be able to manage poor paying clients better.  We also will save account fees and have more confidence in our financial data with Ruddr.

First, the team is great. Always available to help and receptive to new ideas or use cases. Second, Ruddr is easy to set up and use. The training resources for staff are great and saved me a lot of time during implementation. We looked at many time keeping options and no others had a good interface, captured the right amout of data, supported allocations for future projects, and simplified invoicing. Monthly invoices take 20% of the time to complete, look nicer than ever, are syned with QBO, and are out the door at least a week earlier than before. All around, our staff are happier, we have better insights, and we're getting paid faster.

**What do you dislike about Ruddr Professional Services Automation?**

We look forward to the integration with Rippling/SSO and more report options or a report builder.

Our professional services firm has up to 40 active contracts each month - time and materials or fixed fee - each with different rates and invoicing requirements. Ruddr makes it simple for staff to capture their time and activities, efficient for managers to review and approve entries, and simple for us to send timely and accurate invoices to clients. The allocations module allows our project leaders to project profits and adjust staffing earlier, and the reports give our managers more insights beyond just hours worked. We're continuing to grow into all of the functions of Ruddr and are happy the team is receptive to our suggestions and questions.

Ruddr is a feature rich Professional Services Platform that seems to just get better! Their support team was invaluable in assisting us in migrating from our previous time tracking tool. They took time to understand our business needs and demonstrate the value that their platform provides. The platform's ease of use helped to expedite the onboarding of our team and we haven't looked back.

Our biggest challenge with Ruddr is that it does not currently display task budgets for Fixed Fee projects on the project dashboard. I'm told, however, that this feature is on the product roadmap.

Ruddr's interface is sleek and user friendly. We recently onboarded to the tool last month, and implementation has been very easy! Ruddr has a very detailed library of help articles and tutorials which have been invaluable. Unlike other PSAs I've used, the Onboarding and views are intuitive and easily understandable. It has very robust capabilities, but does a great job of prioritizing their placements so that those team members who don't use the tool for much more than time tracking aren't overwhelmed with features they don't need.

The things we dislike are mostly nit and what we love is Rob and the team act as true partners by listening to our needs and offering open visibility into their enhancement roadmap. We feel heard by them and are confident that anything we think may need adjusting will be addressed actionably by the Ruddr team.

The User Interface of Ruddr is great - simple and intuitive enough to use that our team required little to no training in order to start using the system to track time, log expenses, allocate resources to projects, and create and send invoices. However, the best part about Ruddr is their team. The customer service throughout the implementation was top notch. Their team checked in regularly without appearing aggressive, walked our team through the features, and was quick to respond each time we had an inquiry about a feature or when we were looking for guidance on the best practices when setting up or using the system. Highly recommend.

**What do you dislike about Ruddr Professional Services Automation?**

Cannot think of any. There were some features that we were looking for (such as the mobile app) that are not currently available, but it's in the works and our team looks forward to its launch.

One of the main problems that Ruddr solved for us is automating our resource allocation process. Previously, we've been doing this offline in an Excel spreadsheet, but as our organization looks to scale, this will no longer be a feasible option. With Ruddr, we are able to easily and efficiently forecast our staffing for projects. It helps too that it's in the same system that we use to track time and expenses.

**What do you like best about Ruddr Professional Services Automation?**

The entire experience was outstanding.  From demo and vendor selection to data migration, implementation and post launch support, the Ruddr team has done an examplary job.
Ruddr was designed by PS Professionals and it shows.  The UI is easy to follow and during the evaluation process, the Ruddr team continuously talked about the UI being one of their most important features as they rollout additional functionality.  
Flexible but strong security permissions for various roles was important to us and it works really well.  Multi-Level time approvals also is a nice feature as you can have multiple roles receive time approvals.  
Some of the reports are dynamic in that you can click on a number and it allows you to drill through and even update the data, like a time entry that was entered incorrectly.  Again, it goes back to the strong UI!
Pricing - only being charged for licenses for those users that enter time only.  Admin and management who only approve time and run reports are not charged a license.

**What do you dislike about Ruddr Professional Services Automation?**

There are a few features that are lacking, but Ruddr is very clear about their future roadmap.  
Custom Reporting & Report Repository is probably the biggest feature that is missing.  While the prewritten reports are good and well designed, sometimes you have to run multiple reports to obtain the data you want.  i.e. Starting budget, burned hours, future forecasted hours to obtain your net budget remaining is not in a single report.  However, custom reporting is on the roadmap for later this year.

Our old system was cumbersome and lacked so many features that it was extremely time consuming for time entry and approvals.  Our team saves time in both entry and approvals with Ruddr.

**What do you like best about Ruddr Professional Services Automation?**

Ruddr is one of the few pieces of software we looked at that allows you to view scheduling form an individual employee perspective, and from a project perspective.  Other software seems to force you into one or the other. 

Over all, Ruddr covers all the basics of what we're trying to do, without a lot of nonsense that we don't use (but still would have to pay for). On top of that, the pricing model is very reasonable and the Ruddr team is very responsive to emails and feedback. The software is early stage, but I expect it to keep getting better with this team.

**What do you dislike about Ruddr Professional Services Automation?**

Right now our biggest issues are around how manual the data entry is. Everything seems to take a lot of time to set up. If you get behind on time entries there's no bulk entry option, you're just stuck clicking through each and adding time one by one. Projects don't convert to "in progress" when the start date is reached.  Projects also don't auto close (or prompt you for to close) when the project end date is reached. Its not the end of the world, but anyone who has run a business knows that getting people to consistently do new manual processes is a challenge.

Our other pain point is integration with Xero. It would be nice to have revenue recognition come from our actual accounting system. That feature is on the backlog though, so it should be resolved soon.

Having a single location to view the schedule is something we struggled with for a long time.  There's only so much excel sheets can do. Its also very useful to have easily accessible financial statistics about our profit margins. Most people are able to run through the process of finding those numbers, but having them available in a few clicks is extremely helpful.

**What do you like best about Ruddr Professional Services Automation?**

Ruddr is incredibly intuitive. The UI design stands head and shoulders above any other PSA system we've used. The training was a breeze thanks to the Ruddr-produced training video recorded from our configured instance. Using Ruddr cut our PSA platform costs by more than 70% per seat while offering a stellar set of constantly improved functionalities.

We are a consulting services firm, and we were able to migrate 16 months of timekeeping data from our old system into Ruddr and got the entire platform up and running in just over a month.  We implemented Ruddr in three waves, starting with just under 50 users and growing to over 150 within the first three months. We are now expanding our use of Ruddr to include allocations to support sales forecasting and the revenue and accounting features to help keep everything aligned with our financial system of record.

Ruddr's client support is outstanding in every way. Our questions were answered same day, and they offered us full support during our implementation and migration efforts. We still get same-day service on almost every inquiry. I wish all platform vendors could operate more like Ruddr. If I could grade Ruddr and their entire team, I would give them an A+++.

Not being able to make bulk edits/moves. Auditing and updating timekeeping entries are currently done one at a time, rather than being able to move multiple hours and users around when fixing incorrect entries. However, with all the other functionality Ruddr gives us, it's still leagues better than what we were using previously.

The most significant issue Ruddr solved for us is we have a proper understanding of the margin of our services, a straightforward way to resource for new consulting projects, and an easy way for our employees to enter their hours to support client invoicing.

The Ruddr platform has a very intuitive interface.  We recently migrated to Ruddr from another tool and just 2 weeks in we are seeing higher adoption of the tool.  The reporting features and filters available have proven to be very useful and give us better visibility into utilization and financials.

There is nothing I can comment at the moment about a dislike at all!  It would be helpful to be able to see the billing rate in the time detail report within the platform.  That said it's not a deal-breaker as you can easily download this view to see the billing rate.

Better user adoption and a much better ROI.  Their cost for the platform is much less than the tool we were using.  Users can navigate the tool much quicker and have found time savings in running budget reports and managers running utilization reports.

**What do you like best about Ruddr Professional Services Automation?**

Ruddle is easy to use, provides analytics of the time spent in the context of tasks and projects. With this application, it is easy to keep track of the time spent and make adjustments if necessary. There is also the functionality of booking time for projects for the future. Information is very conveniently visualized and structured for the organization.

**What do you dislike about Ruddr Professional Services Automation?**

I love everything about this service. The points for improvement, perhaps, are the design (this is subjective, it can always be better) and the possibility of a "designer" - changing the location, turning on / off some categories for a specific account, for ease of use.

Ruddr solves the problem of time charging. It is very convenient to use the application, and not keep notes in a notebook. You can turn on the timer function and not keep track of how much time is spent on which task. This allows you to concentrate on work and not worry that time tracking will be missed.

**What do you like best about Ruddr Professional Services Automation?**

4Tier develops software applications for our parent organization as well as to market commercially. We have used Ruddr to organize each area where we build software and track our time against each. We can separate support from development efforts and accurately track each. Ruddr's extensive reports allowed me to quickly and simply build reporting for month-end close activities and reduced my efforts to 10-20% of what they used to be before using Ruddr!

**What do you dislike about Ruddr Professional Services Automation?**

This question is a hard one! Ruddr has so many great features and very few disadvantages! We have experienced the most challenges when creating custom holiday schedules. We could make the needed schedules, but the process wasn't as intuitive as we had hoped. However, Ruddr help was great in helping us find the path to creating custom holidays and including them in our schedule.

Accurate small team time tracking across a significant number of internal and external projects.

I think the platform can be a little confusing from a user standpoint. People need to search how to use the app in order to understand it and i would like it if it was somehow more intuitive

Ruddr helps me with time tracking and making sure my times are actually reflective of the work ive done and the hours i spent on it. I also appreciate the desktop mac app so i dont have to keep clicking online

Ruddr is easy to use and they are always making improvements. Project setup is simple- cloning previous projects makes it quick, logging time is straight forward, adding new members is quick and easy. The report library is extensive. The invoicing feature has changed my life!

**What do you dislike about Ruddr Professional Services Automation?**

So far nothing- there are still so many features that I haven't even tried in the 2 years that we have been using Ruddr.

A main concern for us has been unsubmitted timesheets and time submitted without a rate (or the incorrect rate) with Ruddr it's pretty much impossible for this to happen.

Ruddr offers a solution that far exceeds their competitors with an intutive user experience that is not complicated by  excessive settings and yet still delivers all the flexiblity you need to match the setup to your business needs. We have multiple billing models and exception after exception and still Ruddr was able to cover all of our use cases. We are delighted to find something that fits our needs and is easy to use. Additionally, the team at Ruddr is patient, friendly, knowledgable and responsive.  Highly recommend!

I really can't think of a downside with the platform.

You can get a little lost on the first day of using it. In case you are going to use it for time charging, a lot of other functionality can distract and lead you astray.

Ruddr lets me charge time in an easy way, does let me track time used for each task and doesn't require me to describe every 15 minutes of my work.
