I use Rosetta Stone with my students to teach them Spanish. While the basis of the program is good, the timing needs a lot of work. When asked to repeat a word, you end up getting it wrong because you say it immediately and that will end up being before the beep. By the time you repeat the word again, you've already missed it. I think it's a great supplement to classes. I love taking Rosetta Stone before traveling somewhere. Sometimes I'm not sure it has the best teaching technique. It's not the cheapest learning tool at $10 to $26 per month. There are free learning tools out there, including free apps.
