"Rosetta Stone - A practical solution for English language learners"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Rosetta Stone?

I like the way the progression builds from unit to unit. The illustrations are wonderful, and the offline lessons and workbooks are great tools to reinforce what the students are learning online. The program is well designed and I like that it can be used as a curriculum for our English language learners. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rosetta Stone?

The offline lessons can be a little dry and repetitive, especially for younger learners. The program is costly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Horrible software, great content"
0/5
What do you like best about Rosetta Stone?

Content was sublime. Perfect teaching method Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rosetta Stone?

Could not repeat lessons because lessons scroll so you can not select them. Such a horrible quality issue. Company should be out of business Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Language learning for elementary"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Rosetta Stone?

The comprehensive immersion it offers first time learners. It has many units that cover language topics thematically. The software is visually appealing and easy enough to figure out. The reports to track learner progress are interesting but I wish they allowed more specific views into a student's work. I also like the level of management and structure of creating groups and lists. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rosetta Stone?

As a teacher and admin, I cannot see what errors my students made so kind of pointless in that area. I also dislike that it does not provide any teaching of grammar- for elementary aged kiddos this is ok but for adults this is what pushes them away. I wish they allowed more specific views into a student's work so I could focus on those areas in the classroom. This would also help make more connections between the class work and Rosetta work. "Extremely satisfied and impressed user of Rosetta Stone"
5/5
What do you like best about Rosetta Stone?

Truly excellent program that is well designed with short (5-10 minute) lessons. Program focuses on integrating listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in the target language with no translations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rosetta Stone?

Minor issue, but I have not figured out how one can pause the program when a lesson finishes before it jumps to the next lesson. Often I want to write down some of the vocabulary or grammar from a particular lesson at the end of it, but the program jumps to the next one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Perfect for student accountability"
4/5
What do you like best about Rosetta Stone?

It puts students in the front seat of their own education. Traditional models are not student-centered and they often leave students behind or don't go fast enough. This allows students to complete the course at their level and in their own time. The usage reports allows the teacher to see how long the student is in the program for and what the student has completed. This makes the student accountable which is something that we typically don't have the ability to do in large classes where monitoring students can be a full-time job outside of teaching and all other duties. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rosetta Stone?

The learning curve was difficult for us. We spent an entire semester trying to work the kinks out and making sure that students, teachers, and administrators understood how the program worked and what it could and couldn't do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best Language Learning Software so far"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Rosetta Stone?

The incredibly easy navigation and bite-size lessons you can have when you're commuting to work or coming back home makes it extremely easy to have you on your path to learn a new language Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rosetta Stone?

Compared to other competitors, I was really attracted to DuoLinguo for some time, considering the in-voice pronunciation skill is one feature that lacks in this software. Yet, it's not 100% accurate and most of the time is boring, so I'm sticking with Rosetta Stone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The best tool to learn a foreign languaje "
5/5
What do you like best about Rosetta Stone?

You don't fall back to your mother tongue to learn, you see images and match them with words in your target language, there is no translation so you actually learn to talk and write a new language instead of learning to translate it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rosetta Stone?

Price tag. It's totally worth it since learning a new language helps you increase your personal and company value but a little painful to pay. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent method for learning languages"
5/5
What do you like best about Rosetta Stone?

I really appreciated the teaching method based on language immersion. Right from the start, you deal with more or less simple words and phrases that help you get used to listening and reading for language comprehension. Grammar lessons are naturally integrated. Overall, it is truly comprehensive and well done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rosetta Stone?

The only downside is a small flaw in detecting pronunciation, which in some cases forces you to repeat the word or phrase several times before it is correctly detected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rosetta Stone?

Price is expensive. I doubted to buy it or not for months before deciding to buy it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
