"Streamlined Customer Project Management with Flexible Integrations"
5/5
What do you like best about Rocketlane?

I love how Rocketlane creates a seamless process for my team, aligning everyone on the mission and tasks, and it allows customers to track project tasks easily. It's also super easy to provide internal and external project updates, and notify about delays or issues. The process is simple and straightforward, and the integration with SFDC works very well. We've integrated SFDC with Rocketlane, so every new account automatically creates a new project, which speeds up the process and helps me stay on top of everything. Rocketlane is more project management-oriented, more flexible, and allows sharing projects with customers along the way. The initial setup was relatively easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rocketlane?

The SFDC integration is nice, but I wish it offered better bi-directional details, especially for account updates from SFDC to Rocketlane. Also, there's no easy way to generate a new project from the UI triggered by specific events, like creating a follow-up project after a year of customer implementation. The Slack integration isn't up to par either, as I'd like project updates sent to Slack fully so all team members can read the messages entirely. We've had to create a workaround using AI tools. "Effortless Time Management with User-Friendly Interface"
5/5
What do you like best about Rocketlane?

I have mainly been using Rocketlane for Timesheet purposes, and the experience is very straightforward and easy. I appreciate that the layout is very clear, so I don't have to figure things out every time I use it, which is handy when I'm running on deadlines and need to fill the timesheet on time every Friday. The process is simple and doesn't take much time, which is especially helpful on busy days. Since I work on two projects simultaneously, I like that I can easily select my project name and log hours. Essentially, the interface is user-friendly. Setting up Rocketlane was also very simple because my company had already set up my login, making it very easy for me. What do you dislike about Rocketlane?

You can add more options into 'Non Project Activity'. For example, if I am doing my mandatory trainings which are quite long and take up the entire day, I need to have a special mention of this activity. I would like to add 'Mandatory Trainings' into the Non Project Activity section. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive PSA That Streamlines Projects, Resourcing and Timesheets resulting in efficient Delivery"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Rocketlane?

Rocketlane has been a strong fit for our team’s professional services automation needs. It streamlines the entire lifecycle—from setting up projects and building detailed project plans to efficiently resourcing delivery engineers and managers across timelines and phases. This end-to-end visibility makes planning and execution much more structured and predictable.

The timesheet functionality is especially valuable, as it enables engineers to log their hours seamlessly. This not only ensures accurate effort tracking but also directly supports reliable revenue recognition, which is critical for our operations.

Integrations have also been a highlight. With tools like Fivetran, we’re able to export Rocketlane data into Snowflake, allowing us to build deeper reporting and analytics on top of our project and financial data.

On top of that, Rocketlane’s UI/UX is clean and intuitive. It doesn’t require much technical expertise to get started, making it accessible and easy to use for both technical and non-technical team members. This ease of adoption has helped drive consistent usage across the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rocketlane?

Rocketlane is a relatively new platform and continues to evolve, which shows in some occasional rough edges. There are intermittent glitches or unexplained issues that sometimes require a hard refresh to resolve. While these instances can momentarily disrupt the workflow, they haven’t been a major or persistent concern overall.

On the positive side, the Rocketlane onboarding and support teams are highly responsive and proactive. They’re quick to acknowledge queries, provide clear resolution steps, and actively collaborate with their product and engineering teams to address issues and roll out fixes. This level of support helps offset the minor usability hiccups and builds confidence in the platform’s ongoing improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Keeps Projects Organised Despite Occasional Glitches"
4/5
What do you like best about Rocketlane?

I use Rocketlane for project management. I like that it allows me to keep everything nice and organized and track all the tasks I need to do for every type of project. I really like the user interface. The spaces feature is something I appreciate because it lets me embed different files like Google Docs, keeping all of my notes organized for one project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rocketlane?

Sometimes the software is a little buggy. You have to refresh a couple times for updates to show. The UI, as nice as it is, it does look a little outdated as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The best PS and CSP tool in the market. "
5/5
What do you like best about Rocketlane?

The new slew of features including the RBAC, sprint planning, integrations, project updates, sheets features are nothing short of revolutionary. Now the teams can spend their entire time within Rocket and do not need to look at anything outside. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rocketlane?

One of the features that we are really looking forward to is the time entries being marked as billable/non-billable directly after choosing the category. This would really help prevent the incorrect time entries on the instance being used by multiple teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Akshaya Nagarajan of Rocketlane

Thank you for taking the time to share such an insightful review. We are thrilled to hear that you are finding value in the recent features like RBAC, sprint planning, integrations, project updates, and sheets.

We also appreciate your feedback on marking time entries as billable or non-billable based on category. That is a valuable suggestion, especially for teams managing shared workspaces, and we understand how it can help improve accuracy. We have been continuously enhancing time tracking and related workflows to make them more flexible and reliable. You can explore how time tracking and categorization works here on the attached link.

It is great to hear that Rocketlane is effectively serving both as a CS and project management tool for your team, and that features like Kanban view and project fields are helping you tailor workflows to your needs.

Thanks again for your thoughtful feedback and continued partnership.

"Reliable Tool for Project Onboarding and Collaboration"
4/5
What do you like best about Rocketlane?

A reliable tool for project onboarding and collaboration, but there’s still scope for improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rocketlane?

It needs a bit more customisation for notifications. Right now, message notifications and automation notifications are grouped together, so you end up with too many items to sift through. A separate section specifically for message notifications would make it much easier to manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Onboarding with Visibility"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Rocketlane?

I like that I can make a project public anytime for a client's visibility and add clients to the platform for tracking purposes. Since switching to Rocketlane from Google Sheets, it has been great to just create a project, import templates, and make the project visible to client stakeholders with a click. It helps everyone have the visibility they need and lets me see exactly where we are with progress. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rocketlane?

Rocketlane doesn't have good connectors option, so my internal team (Tech) uses Notion for tasks and if I want to add a task for my internal team it is not very easy, I have to create duplicate tasks here and internally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Keeps Projects on Track with Ease and Customization"
4/5
What do you like best about Rocketlane?

I like Rocketlane for its ease of use and functionality, which helps keep projects on track and ensures nothing is forgotten. The customization of tasks is great, and the platform allows me to share and chat with customers and internal staff, keeping communication effective and projects moving smoothly. This also helps me stay on top of things and complete tasks faster, making small mistakes less common. I appreciate the ability to stay actively engaged in every project, as well as the support from the Rocketlane team during our transition. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Client Project Management in One System"
4/5
What do you like best about Rocketlane?

It has made our client project management much smoother than with our previous systems. It’s helped us consolidate our PMS into a single system for task tracking, time tracking, and even revenue tracking, instead of relying on the 3–4 different systems we used before. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rocketlane?

The tool became popular quickly, and you can tell by how fast they implement changes. Sometimes it feels like they don’t do much testing before deploying updates, which can cause delays. Thankfully, their support team is quick to jump in and help troubleshoot when things aren’t clear. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly with Room for Analytical Growth"
4/5
What do you like best about Rocketlane?

I find Rocketlane to be very structured in tracking time and efforts, which complements the working utilization data I capture within Sprinklr. It makes it easier to see how my time is spread across different customers and projects, and helps me understand my engagement efforts at a high level. I also appreciate Rocketlane's dedicated project section that allows me to input the number of hours invested into each project and add my notes. It's intuitive and user-friendly, much more so than Salesforce, which is why my team switched to it. Despite the initial training, it is easy to use, with even basic one-pager details being enough to understand it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rocketlane?

I feel Rocketlane is more manual compared to any dedicated utilization tools. Sometimes it's also less insightful when it comes to detailed effort analysis. For example, there are times where I have to do enhanced reporting on utilization trends, real-time capacity insights, and to see at the end of the month how much of my time is left with each customer. The reporting and analytics capabilities of Rocketlane are not full-fledged and not very insightful. So, I sometimes have to use Excel to customize my utilization and create tailored reports for my leadership. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
