"Simple and effective for managing client onboarding projects"
5/5
What do you like best about Rocketlane?

I mainly use Rocketlane to manage client onboarding projects and coordinate tasks between internal teams and customers. What I like most, is the ability to create projects, assign tasks to team members and track progress in one place. It helps keep everyone aligned on what needs to be completed and by when.

Its built-in client collaboration features are also very helpful. Being able to communicate with customers directly within the platform during onboarding projects helps avoid long email threads and keep conversations tied to the specific project tasks.

One other thing that I appreciate, is how easy it was to start using Rocketlane. It has an intuitive interface, and I was able to quickly understand how to use it. Projects, tasks and client communications are very easy to find, and you do not need much training to understand how to use these features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rocketlane?

One limitation I noticed, is that it can be difficult to quickly navigate or switch between multiple projects in the same time. When working on several onboarding projects, I often need to open one project, check or update a task, and then move to another project. Currently, this requires closing the current project and navigating to the next one, which can slow things down a bit. Having an easier way to keep multiple projects open or switch between them would improve the workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Rocketlane Keeps Everything in One Place and Easy to Manage"
4/5
What do you like best about Rocketlane?

As a PM, Rocketlane has been extremely helpful. It keeps all the details I need in one place and is genuinely user-friendly, which makes it easy to stay on top of things. Overall, I really like it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rocketlane?

It can’t be integrated with Google Calendar, so I have to manually add a time block for the project engineer on the calendar and then paste the Rocketlane task into the calendar event description. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Project Management with Impressive Collaboration Too"
5/5
What do you like best about Rocketlane?

Rocketlane continues to stand out because of how easy the platform is to use, even as new features are introduced. The overall user experience feels very intuitive, which makes it simple for teams to adopt and manage projects without a steep learning curve. I especially like the recent updates and improvements to the interface. The new layout view is a big improvement—it brings together text, tasks, and key project details in a way that feels much more organized and easier to navigate.

The menu options are also clearer and more streamlined, which helps reduce the time spent searching for features or switching between sections. Having tasks and written updates integrated into the same view makes collaboration smoother and keeps project communication in one place. Overall, the platform continues to improve while still maintaining the simplicity and efficiency that make it easy to manage projects day to day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rocketlane?

Rocketlane has been improving a lot, but there are a couple of areas that could make the platform even better.

First, adding a Dark Mode option for the layout would be extremely helpful. Many of us working in web design and development spend long hours looking at screens, and the current bright white interface can make it harder to focus on details. A dark mode would reduce eye strain and make it easier to review content, layouts, and tasks for extended periods of time.

Another improvement would be in the tagging system for clients or team members. Currently, you often need to know the first letter or part of a person's name to tag them, which can become confusing when there are many clients or collaborators involved in a project. Previously, when typing the @ symbol, the system would show a list of everyone involved in the project, which made tagging much faster and more efficient. Bringing back that option—where all project members appear when typing @—would greatly improve usability and communication within projects.

These small changes would make an already strong platform even more efficient for teams managing multiple clients and projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Rocketlane: Intuitive, Reliable Project Delivery with Powerful Real-Time Integrations"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Rocketlane?

Navigation & Usability:

Rocketlane's interface is designed with simplicity in mind — all essential menus like project tracking, task management, and client collaboration are organized intuitively on the dashboard. Unlike other tools where I'd spend time hunting through nested menus, everything in Rocketlane is just a click away. This has significantly reduced the time our team spends on administrative tasks, allowing us to focus more on actual project delivery.

Maintenance & Support:

The platform requires minimal upkeep, which is a huge win for our team. We don't need a dedicated admin to manage it. Whenever we've reached out to their support team, the responses have been quick, knowledgeable, and solution-oriented — making troubleshooting almost effortless.

Integrations:

What truly sets Rocketlane apart is its integration ecosystem. The Workato integration alone streamlined our data flow between multiple tools, but the real game-changer was their exposed custom connector. It allowed us to build tailored integrations specific to our tech stack without relying on third-party developers. Additionally, all triggers operate in real-time, which means our automated workflows execute instantly — no delays, no missed updates.

Unexpected Benefit:

One thing I didn't anticipate was how the real-time triggers combined with the custom connector would eliminate manual status updates across platforms. What used to take our team 30+ minutes of daily syncing is now fully automated.

Overall:

I genuinely haven't found any gaps in their system. Rocketlane delivers a complete, reliable, and efficient experience for managing client projects end to end. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rocketlane?

Honestly, based on my experience so far, I haven't found anything to dislike about Rocketlane. The platform consistently delivers on its promises — from usability to integrations to support. It's been a reliable tool for our team all around. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The ultimate 'Command Center' for our delivery and resource planning"
5/5
What do you like best about Rocketlane?

The most impressive thing about Rocketlane is its rapid pace of innovation. Over the last year, the improvements in resource management and automated workflows have been game-changers for our team. It doesn't just track tasks; it actually helps us visualize team capacity and prevent burnout.

I also love how much the reporting has matured. We can now pull granular insights into our delivery timelines and project health without having to export everything to a spreadsheet. It’s truly a "source of truth" for our customer-facing projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rocketlane?

While the platform is incredibly powerful, the sheer amount of customization available means there is a bit of a steep learning curve at the start. It took our team a few weeks to really nail down our global templates. If you’re looking for a simple 'out of the box' task list, this might feel like overkill initially, but the effort pays off once you’re fully set up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Akshaya Nagarajan of Rocketlane

Thank you for sharing such a detailed and thoughtful review. We are delighted to hear that Rocketlane has become a true command center for your delivery and resource planning.

It is especially great to know that improvements in resource management, automated workflows, and reporting are helping your team better visualize capacity, prevent burnout, and gain deeper insights into project health.

We also appreciate your candid feedback on the initial learning curve. With the level of flexibility and customization Rocketlane offers, getting everything set up just right can take some time.

To make this easier, we have made continuous enhancements to onboarding, templates, and overall usability so teams can get up to speed faster.

We also have a dedicated knowledge article hub to help users get started with Rocketlane. Link is attached.

Thanks again for your valuable feedback and continued partnership.

"So far so good"
5/5
What do you like best about Rocketlane?

MoEngage’s PS team can build reusable project templates for different customer segments ( SMB, mid-market, enterprise). Clients get a single, transparent view of timelines, milestones, tasks, owners, and status. Assigning tasks with deadlines inside Rocketlane creates clear ownership, both internally and externally. PS managers can monitor project progress, delays, and risks in real-time.

Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rocketlane?

The Issue: Rocketlane’s automated notification system can be "noisy." In a complex project with dozens of daily task updates, stakeholders often suffer from notification fatigue, causing them to miss truly critical alerts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Krithika Anand of Rocketlane

Hello Yaswanth,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are glad to hear that Rocketlane is helping you track project status, monitor project health, and manage timelines, tasks, and timesheets more effectively. It is also great to know that the visual project experience stands out for you compared to other tracking platforms.

We appreciate you pointing out the slower page loading and the delay in edits reflecting while updating projects. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Your feedback is valuable, and we will share it with our product and engineering teams to review and continue improving the experience.

Thanks again for sharing your experience with Rocketlane.

"Efficient Project Management with Stellar Salesforce Integration"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Rocketlane?

I like the UI overall, but I specifically love the project view and custom fields, allowing me to see what we've sold and where progress is up to for each project. The project view lets me see all of the services products we've sold, grouped by region and customer, and provides a sense of where we're at with delivery. The automation with Salesforce is key here for keeping on top of what we've sold. The initial setup of Rocketlane was pretty easy, with the team being really good at working with us and navigating our quirky requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rocketlane?

The reporting functionality isn't great. It's a little clunky and hard to get reports that can be formatted in a way that makes it easier to share. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive UI, Time-Saving Salesforce Integration, and Strong Onboarding"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Rocketlane?

UI: The UI is easy to navigate, and it’s clear where actions are located. It’s intuitive in many ways and not overwhelming. We appreciate the ability to create custom Customer Profile templates, project templates, reporting templates, etc.

Integrations: The integration with Salesforce has saved our team a lot of time and significantly improved our workflows. We now have a clearer process for creating new projects because we can directly link them to Salesforce opportunities.

Performance: Performance is acceptable overall. There is a minor lag to be aware of when making updates to project plans, spaces, and sheets. Once you know to expect it, you can simply wait a few seconds before refreshing the page to see the updates you’ve made.

Onboarding: Onboarding was great, and we received the level of support we needed from Rocketlane. We had workshops to walk through the configurations, and then we independently configured what we wanted.

Knowledge base: In production, access to chat support and the knowledge base has been critical to our continued learning. It’s easy to find an answer or ask Rocketlane chat to help find a solution. They also offer webinars that give customers the opportunity to learn more together. The webinars are collaborative and helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rocketlane?

UI: There are improvements to be made to the customer profile view. We frequently receive feedback from customers about the need to better leverage the full width of the screen, which would reduce how much they have to scroll. Some views, such as the Gantt view, also don’t show the entire timeline without requiring left-to-right scrolling. It would be more beneficial to see critical details at a glance without having to scroll horizontally. Additionally, a table of contents on the side would help users quickly jump to a section on a page rather than scrolling up and down.

Performance: Performance is acceptable overall. There is a minor lag to be aware of when making updates to project plans, spaces, and sheets. Once you know to expect it, you can simply wait a few seconds before refreshing the page to see the updates you’ve made.

Support: The one time we had to submit a support ticket, it was neglected and we did not receive clear steps for resolution. The ticket is still open, and it’s been one month since we reported the bug in the list view. Although we’ve asked multiple times, we haven’t been given a clear date for resolution or even a date for an update. We often get a “we will let you know as soon as we can,” but then weeks pass and we, as the customer, have to proactively ask Rocketlane Support for an update. Again, this is only one ticket we’ve opened, but it’s not the best look so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for Management, an uphill path for Basic Task Management"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Rocketlane?

What I like most about Rocketlane is the holistic view it provides—an overall, consolidated view of all the different projects currently running within an organization. It also highlights items that need urgent attention and clearly shows what’s overdue, which I find really helpful.

We are yet to onboard our client with Rocketlane so Ill reserve the reivew on that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rocketlane?

When it comes to tasks, I think they need to be presented in a better layout so they’re easier to view and to look up. Right now, you can’t search for a particular task, and the swim lanes aren’t very intuitive to use.

We switched over from Jira, and for things we could do directly in Jira, we’re finding Rocketlane much more limiting. Overall, it hasn’t been as frictionless as I’d hoped, and I’m not sure Rocketlane is a better fit for how we manage tasks—at least not yet. I’m hoping it gets better in that dimension.

The initial setup was also a bit complex. We had to migrate tasks from Jira using Excel uploads, and even now not everything is fully complete. Some items are still incorrectly showing as open within Rocketlane.

It would also be great if the UI updated dynamically, without needing to reload the page to see changes within a sprint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Customer Project Management with Flexible Integrations"
5/5
What do you like best about Rocketlane?

I love how Rocketlane creates a seamless process for my team, aligning everyone on the mission and tasks, and it allows customers to track project tasks easily. It's also super easy to provide internal and external project updates, and notify about delays or issues. The process is simple and straightforward, and the integration with SFDC works very well. We've integrated SFDC with Rocketlane, so every new account automatically creates a new project, which speeds up the process and helps me stay on top of everything. Rocketlane is more project management-oriented, more flexible, and allows sharing projects with customers along the way. The initial setup was relatively easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rocketlane?

The SFDC integration is nice, but I wish it offered better bi-directional details, especially for account updates from SFDC to Rocketlane. Also, there's no easy way to generate a new project from the UI triggered by specific events, like creating a follow-up project after a year of customer implementation. The Slack integration isn't up to par either, as I'd like project updates sent to Slack fully so all team members can read the messages entirely. We've had to create a workaround using AI tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
