**What do you like best about Rocket D3?**

The NOSQL-based DBMS is highly efficient, scalable, and flexible for a variety of applications, including real-time applications. The platform’s capabilities for machine learning and artificial intelligence applications are quite advanced.

**What do you dislike about Rocket D3?**

The data ingestion process is time-consuming and lacks interface-driven, point-and-click import tools, making initial data loads and movement more challenging than they have to be.

**Recommendations to others considering Rocket D3:**

Develop user-driven interfaces that allow functionality for user data loading and monitoring.

**What problems is Rocket D3 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In summary, the lightning-quick access to data in the natural form, up to 4 dimensions. The solution has a very interesting feature that allows multiple dictionary definitions for the same data fields but under different scenarios.

  ### 3. Fast, Flexible Data

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** George S. | Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2018

**What do you like best about Rocket D3?**

Fast data access due to hashing and the ability to model data as it really exists in real life due to being a 4 dimensional database by design. You can have multiple dictionary definitions for the same data fields to fit different situations.

**What do you dislike about Rocket D3?**

Lack of recognition in the industry if potential customers are concerned about name recognition of the underlying technology rather than what the application can do for them.

**Recommendations to others considering Rocket D3:**

If you have not used D3 before, realize that you have to adjust your thinking to model data since you can use 3 or 4 dimensions instead of being limited to 2 dimensions that SQL databases have.

**What problems is Rocket D3 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Wrote EDI system to interface with our ERP software to automate dealing with a customer with thousands of employees and numerous locations.

  ### 5. D3 is powerful but difficult

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2016

**What do you like best about Rocket D3?**

It's flexible. I'm able to create really nice and interesting visualizations that are impressive. They look a lot more interesting that Excel bar charts and scatterplots. I love how you can really build anything you want and it's not really restrictive like other visualization tools.

**What do you dislike about Rocket D3?**

There is a very steep learning curve - particularly if you're not well versed in JavaScript and CSS. You really need to have a good handle on those skills first. It's a challenging tool, but very rewarding once you make a cool data visualization.

**Recommendations to others considering Rocket D3:**

Learn JavaScript and CSS first if you don't already have those skills.

**What problems is Rocket D3 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm trying to create innovative data visualizations that grab executives' attention and really tell the story. People don't pay attention to bar charts and scatterplots anymore. D3 allows me to create visually appealing and interactive charts that help to engage the end user. You can really tell a data story with D3.

  ### 6. Awesome and Powerful Library

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2015

**What do you like best about Rocket D3?**

It is very powerful and awesome way to visualize or make visualization that are compatible with web browsers.
Its very easy to make a library of d3 visualizations and plug it into different data sets. A lot of online open source examples are also available that can be used and modified.

**What do you dislike about Rocket D3?**

It has a very steep learning curve. Not very ideal documentation available and most of the time I ended up using online examples and modifying it instead if creating something on my own.

**Recommendations to others considering Rocket D3:**

If you require web compatible visualizations, look no further than D3

**What problems is Rocket D3 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To make web compatible visualizations. It is very useful and can be opened anywhere with out and platform dependency. D3 together with Angular forms an awesome base to create as per our requirement.
