I like Rockbot for its ability to mix regular TV alongside our personalized promos. It helps us share campaigns and directives with our customers in our waiting area. I find it difficult to keep Rockbot connected to WiFi if I have to move them. I've moved a few and getting them reconnected has always given me a hard time. Although the initial setup was smooth, moving them became an issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The setup was a real pain, and the support on the day of installation wasn’t great. What was promised during the sales call wasn’t delivered, and support was difficult to reach when we needed them. Because of that, our store’s grand opening happened without signage. That said, once we finally got in touch with support, they were wonderful. The lack of new songs. It would be really nice to be able to find a single song and play that song when requested. We will use music for training clients, and there are times where they would like to hear a song, that we can't just play (unless we build a playlist), or we do not have access to play the song. I like the already created playlists and the timers for playlists, which allow me to select specific times for different playlists to play. I also like that I can check other locations' playlists and have the ability to skip songs. The initial setup was super easy; I just made a login, and boom, music. I like how Rockbot doesn't take much thought and is easy to use. The initial setup was very easy, which made getting started a breeze. Sometimes it plays strange songs, and you have to spend a bunch of time blacklisting songs in the venue. The promotional messaging rules are not as thorough as they ought to be, making it really difficult to set up a promotional message displayed at a particular time. It's really a set-it-and-forget-it program. Initially, you spend some time choosing your preferred playlists (or creating your own) and the mixes to play during different times of the day, but after that, it's pretty seamless. Using the dashboard, you can easily skip a song once, delete it from the playlist or ban it from the club entirely. You can also temporarily override what's scheduled at a given time with another playlist. I do find the override feature a bit confusing to use, but because it confuses me, I can't explain HOW it confuses me, because I'm confused, lol. Also, so many of the songs on the "high-energy workout"-type playlists are most definitely not at all high energy. We've had it happen, more than once, that we've set one of these playlists to play during one of our group training sessions and it was literally several songs in a row of soothing, spa-type music! We have used Rockbot for our office music since we built our office a couple years ago. It has been very simple to use, allowing us to select a variety of music that can change throughout the day to provide more engery during that after lunch slump. The automatic "smart volume" helds by increasing volume through the noisey parts of the day as well and lowering the volume towards the end of the day. Without the listener request feature, there is no way to request a specific song. Have to pay more to use that App and allow our employees to request songs. I use Rockbot to change the playlist during our business hours and appreciate how it makes finding music for occasions very seamless. I like that I'm able to search for a mood using a word and a recommended playlist will show up. The user interface is very simple and straightforward, and I believe Rockbot nails that aspect, which is great as simplicity will continue to be a key element in design. I like how Rockbot is super easy to set up, it took me probably less than five minutes. It's also super convenient for my managers to go in and adjust music and volume levels, and it doesn't take a lot of their time off the floor.
