I really appreciate how easy this is to use and how clearly everything is labeled. It offers a lot, including schedules, playlists, volume control, and more. We’ve been able to easily schedule what should be playing in each clinic, and then each clinic can fine-tune its playlists to match their preferences. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Rockbot? Sometimes it takes a minute or two to skip songs or artists I dislike. Also, even after disliking an artist or a song, it still comes back up later on. There is a ban feature, but I’m not sure if that means I need to use it so that a particular artist or song never comes back, or if songs like it also won’t play. I like that Rockbot is all very much integrated and allows me to easily schedule messaging or music across roughly 15 locations. It's very detailed and easy to use for a beginner, which has been very helpful for spreading messages on our mission, events, and updates to our customers. Even though it's on a PG 13 rating, there are still questionable songs that aren't very family-friendly, and it would be nice if those were removed. Ease of set up for commercial music. It is also easy for staff to understand how to manage playlists, as the online portal is setup similar to individual music streaming services they already use, like Spotify or Pandora. I like that there is an option for Sonos integration. The price point is competitive. If you purchase a Rockbot player, installation is easy. The schedule and playlists make it a "set it and forget it" option for your commercial music needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Rockbot? Sonos integration is less seamless than choosing the Rockbot player option. It does work, but it will time out on Sonos and need to be restarted, sometimes frequently. This may or may not be an issue on the Sonos side. The music stream will randomly stop, sometimes multiple times a day. It is not difficult to re-start the stream, but it does take a human to manually restart the stream. I would not recommend buying Sonos just for Rockbot, buy a Player if you do not already own Sonos equipment. It would be better if you could switch back and forth between the Player and Sonos. Unfortunately, you have to pick one or the other. If you need to change, you have to contact your account manager and have Rockbot make the change on the back end. They claimed to fix the Sonos connection issue, but it was taking too long and I switched to a Player instead. This is the only issue I have had with Rockbot. I like the selection of music and the selection of stations that Rockbot offers. I also appreciate the new integration with Spotify, which allows us to create our own custom lists and still have our commercials run. The ability to schedule the type of music to play throughout the day instead of manually integrating it is a great feature. It helps create a vibe that matches the time of day, providing a calmer atmosphere in the morning, high energy midday, and slowing down in the evening. This scheduling creates a particular mood in the studio that enhances the client experience. Not being able to control the volume of the commercials. The music will play at a decent level, but then when the commercials come on, they're extremely loud, and we have no control over that. I love that Rockbot creates the atmosphere and keeps the energy positive in our paint and sip studios. I like being able to have multiple playlists shuffle and play all day without having to commit to only one at a time. It's convenient because we don't have to jump on and change the playlist; we can just schedule multiple playlists, set it, and forget it. There are some songs and artists that are unavailable, so it would be best to have more options. When we import a Spotify playlist, there's always about 15% that we can't include unfortunately. What do you dislike about Rockbot? It frequently mislabels the song tempos. It will call an up-tempo song 'low' energy and a slow song 'high' energy. This requires me to manually go through each playlist and individually remove songs I don't want to play. This is painstakingly tedious. Removing songs in general is tedious. We have not yet had to test the PRO licensing and I'm a bit worried that it won't hold up if we are challenged. I like Rockbot because I can switch the radio station to whatever kind of music I want to listen to, and that flexibility is great. The Rockbot app is really helpful, especially since you can control it from outside the store. It's got a lot of potential, and I can do a lot from my house, like switching stations or adjusting the volume.
