What I like best about Rockbot is how easy it is to create the exact vibe we want. The customization is fantastic...we can tailor playlists to fit our audience perfectly, and it always feels fresh instead of repetitive. If I had to point out a downside, it would be that setting up playlists and schedules can feel a bit clunky at times. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it can take a little extra time to get everything dialed in exactly how you want. That said, once it’s set up, it runs smoothly and does a great job overall. I really enjoy using Rockbot for advertisements in our restaurant for our current specials and upcoming events. I like that it integrates with Canva, and I can use all my templates that I have already used for my social media posts. It was also very easy to implement, which made getting started quick and simple for our team. I use this very often when creating our ads, and if there is ever an issue with the product, calling in to the support team is great. They can usually work you through the issue right over the phone. These are few and far between, but I do wish you could upload a bigger file. Sometimes I have a PowerPoint that we use for special events where businesses put their sponsorships on it, and I export it as an MP4. If it is too big, I have to split it up. We are a meadery and needed background music. After looking at all of the options available we selected Rockbot due to the ease of use, required hardware, and the cost. We are able to select different genres of music and define what plays and when. I really appreciate how easy this is to use and how clearly everything is labeled. It offers a lot, including schedules, playlists, volume control, and more. Sometimes it takes a minute or two to skip songs or artists I dislike. Also, even after disliking an artist or a song, it still comes back up later on. There is a ban feature, but I’m not sure if that means I need to use it so that a particular artist or song never comes back, or if songs like it also won’t play. I like that Rockbot allows us to easily play a variety of music while people are working. It lets us adjust the type of music depending on our needs and allows multiple trusted employees to adjust the volume or completely turn it off with the app. I enjoy that I can upload a custom playlist from Spotify and integrate it into the rotation with the pre-created playlists Rockbot offers. This feature means our employees can hear the music they enjoy and feel they have a say in an important aspect of their workday. I also appreciate that Rockbot doesn't limit us to specific genres; instead, we can hear songs from various genres and decades back to back, making everyone happy. We have a large Indian community at our workplace, and having the ability to add current popular Indian music in the regular rotation of our playlist would be appreciated. I use Rockbot to play house music at my restaurant, and I love its great library of work-appropriate music that helps set the tone for service. It's fantastic not having to listen to commercials or worry about suddenly jarring songs during service. Once set up, the app is easy to navigate, allowing me to change stations quickly if the vibe of the restaurant requires it. In the middle of a busy shift, I don't have time to search for music, but Rockbot lets me smoothly and efficiently switch to the desired style of music. I like that Rockbot is all very much integrated and allows me to easily schedule messaging or music across roughly 15 locations. It's very detailed and easy to use for a beginner, which has been very helpful for spreading messages on our mission, events, and updates to our customers. I think the music playlist could be improved. Even though it's on a PG 13 rating, there are still questionable songs that aren't very family-friendly, and it would be nice if those were removed. Also, sometimes the audio levels are sort of out of sync or not loud enough in some stores. I kind of wish it was a more uniform sound level volume. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ease of set up for commercial music. It is also easy for staff to understand how to manage playlists, as the online portal is setup similar to individual music streaming services they already use, like Spotify or Pandora. I like that there is an option for Sonos integration. The price point is competitive. If you purchase a Rockbot player, installation is easy. Sonos integration is less seamless than choosing the Rockbot player option. It does work, but it will time out on Sonos and need to be restarted, sometimes frequently. This may or may not be an issue on the Sonos side. The music stream will randomly stop, sometimes multiple times a day. It is not difficult to re-start the stream, but it does take a human to manually restart the stream. I would not recommend buying Sonos just for Rockbot, buy a Player if you do not already own Sonos equipment. It would be better if you could switch back and forth between the Player and Sonos. Unfortunately, you have to pick one or the other. If you need to change, you have to contact your account manager and have Rockbot make the change on the back end. I use Rockbot to play music in the background of my business, which helps break the silence and bring the tension down when my team and I assist customers. I like how easy and simple Rockbot is to use. I just click a playlist, and it starts playing music, which is super convenient for me. It's great not having to create a playlist for my gym because Rockbot has a ton of different playlists to choose from, and I can mix them together.
