We typically try to tie it to the xPath or a UI locator, although UI locators tend to be more fragile. We've got emails and slack notifications set up to alert us when something goes wrong. **What do you dislike about Robocorp?** There was a bit of a learning curve with the Robot Framework language. It's basically a Python dialect, but I've ended up writing many of my automations directly in Python. **What problems is Robocorp solving and how is that benefiting you?** We've been able to automate a few redundant tasks for our clients, mostly through the RPA.Browser web scraping functions. I can understand your point of view that it can "get pricey" however, a couple items I want to point out because it may not be obvious from our pricing page, we will work on that. With our packages you do get a standard set of minutes per month. Additionally, if you have a process that runs quite often (24x7 as an example) we have a monthly cap so know you will not exceed that monthly cap regardless of how long it runs! Finally, you are absolutely right about Robot Framework (RFW) being a Python dialect. RFW adds a more human readable aspect to Python. Python based tool!! #1 used coding language today plus open source so you can always find help out there within the Python community or Robot Framework community. As for defining the right selector, I agree it can be hard work. There are a couple tricks of the trade though. If you are coding against Windows applications and programs you can check out the link below for step-by-step guide on how to use Accessibility Insights to find elements. If you are talking about finding web page elements, from VSCode click on the Robocorp Code extension (Mark the Monkey face in the sidebar) you will find a "Locators" section that will help you find the Xpath, CSS, Name, or other items you can use in your code. I'm glad you find it easy and efficient to use, that's what we were hoping for. Not a long onboard to getting set up and using Robocorp. The additional beauty in our solution is RCC packages everything you need to run your automations. The upside to that is you do not have to worry if the target system has the right version of Python, browser, etc because it is all packaged up with the Robot. The downside is it does take a while to download everything initially or if you upgrade your bot, a small price to pay for consistency in your automations I think.
