What I like most about ROAM is how it improves communication, collaboration, and day-to-day teamwork by creating a virtual office that feels much more natural than traditional messaging or video conferencing tools. Instead of waiting on emails or chat responses, it feels like you're working alongside your team in real time. One of my favorite features is being able to knock on someone's virtual office, jump into meetings instantly, and stay connected throughout the day without the usual friction. I also like the ability to see where teammates are, spotlight a colleague when needed, and switch myself to Do Not Disturb when I need uninterrupted focus. It strikes a great balance between accessibility and productivity. The VAI Notetaker is another standout feature. It automatically captures meeting notes and organizes important discussions, making it easy to review key decisions and action items without relying on manual note-taking. The transition to ROAM was incredibly smooth. Within a very short time, almost everyone in our office was impressed by how intuitive and easy it was to use. Adoption happened naturally because the platform just makes sense. Another thing that stands out is the call quality. Compared to other communication platforms I've used, ROAM consistently delivers clear, reliable audio and video, making conversations feel effortless. Overall, I believe ROAM is an excellent solution for remote and hybrid teams. It creates a more connected, collaborative work environment while remaining simple, intuitive, and enjoyable to use. Ha. :)" 5/5 What do you like best about Roam? What I like most is that it actually makes remote work feel like working in the same office. Our team is spread across five countries, and being able to see who's available and jump into quick conversations instead of scheduling another meeting has made collaboration much more natural. The Game Room is also a surprisingly fun touch. We use it for quick breaks, and it's helped people get to know each other beyond work. What I like most about Roam is how well it balances simplicity with real capability. It delivers dependable team messaging through channels, direct messages, file sharing, and integrations, yet it still stays easy to deploy and manage on self-hosted infrastructure. From an administrative standpoint, I value having full control over data, user management, and security, rather than relying entirely on third-party cloud providers. The performance feels responsive, the interface is intuitive, and bringing new team members onboard is straightforward. Over time, Roam has become a reliable communication hub for both day-to-day collaboration and automated workflows. It makes it easy to tie notifications, operational alerts, and business processes together in one platform. Rather than relying on public messaging services, we can host Roam within our own infrastructure, which keeps sensitive business conversations, operational alerts, and internal collaboration under our governance. It also functions as a central hub for automated notifications from our infrastructure and AI workflows. This helps our team respond quickly to system events, coordinate more smoothly, and stay aligned without constantly jumping between tools. As a result, we’ve reduced context switching, improved response times, and gained greater confidence that our communications remain private and available. The virtual office is the icing on the cake for us. Being able to see our colleagues in their office and the streamlined way of just clicking their office to have a quick audio call makes communication feel easy. I love the fact that when you come in, you can open the UI and just be able to see your employees; the day-to-day use is awesome. How do you navigate around the instant chat, the group chats that you can have, you can lock people in, or lock people out, it's an absolutely wonderful feature. It's completely replaced my RingCentral The capability of seeing where my staff is at all times and who's interacting with whom. The next best thing is the stats that come with the admin portal; you can see what's going on across the board. Then you have to consider that you have different floors for each team or division, which is awesome for keeping track of everybody. The pricing is also really great, given the features you have. This completely replaces our 800. monthly Zoom accounts. It has a wonderful AI intelligence baked into the service. I have found that the support has been wonderful for learning this program. So far, the performance has been wonderful. The only issue that I would say is that if you have a virtual background, it's a little fuzzy around your outline. Other than that, it's been wonderful. Integrations have been an absolute breeze. I was able to have my CLOD code baked into tracking employees' timing when they're in their offices and things like that. I've noticed that there's this flickering around the actual subject that's in the Video. It has been brought to our attention that the engineers are working on this particular product and it should be resolved and if you weeks if not a month from now. I love being able to customize my virtual office so my colleagues can clearly see my interests. The ability to see who is virtually in office and whether they are in meetings or not is a slick visual to tie together employees working thousands of miles apart. The seamless integrations with Outlook and Claude have also boosted my productivity, especially when it comes to managing my work schedule. Overall, the software performs perfectly for the usual basics, and I’ve had minimal issues with sound or video quality. The support from the Roam team has been fantastic, it's actually quite nice to have a direct contact with the Roam team if any questions come up. My main gripe right now is that certain features are missing if you’re not on a specific OS. ROAM makes my time a lot more efficient, which is important to me. I find ROAM to be a much more user-friendly platform compared to others I've used.
