In regards to the default location, have you been able to go into your main account settings (gear icon from the left side menu) to update your Default Start Location? Additionally, I'm wondering if you are having to go through the onboarding steps each time you log in. If you are using a different web browser or different computer device to log into your account, that would cause you to go through the onboarding steps again which will ask you to pick your start location each time.
