After a year and a half, we found that it was too much for what we need. We tried working with the company to downgrade to a more suitable plan for our small business, but they were unwilling to work with us. Their contract has absolutely no “out” clause, so they can strong-arm you into staying. In a year, we’ve had 3 different account managers. Perhaps the way they treat customers who have spent quite a large sum of money with them, is also how they treat their team internally. It often brings me right back to a video that Riverside.fm has provided on the topic, which makes it simple to learn as I go. I also like that there’s a choice of music to use for my opening and closing, and I found it easy to add that music to an episode. I’ve also found it straightforward to connect to all the platforms once we launch in a week. I even did a “about me” video just so I could get my feet wet and figure everything out. Another cool part is that I can host with Riverside. I love having only one platform to edit in (and I love all the magic AI features), and I don’t have to do my own edits in Garage Band, which was super confusing. Riverside has it all. I’m super happy to have found Riverside.fm! **What do you dislike about Riverside?** Honestly, the only thing I don’t like is my own learning curve, which isn’t a Riverside issue at all—lol! **What problems is Riverside solving and how is that benefiting you?** Honestly, editing feels almost magical and effortless thanks to all the AI features. It even creates magic episodes, which makes it easier for me to promote the show. ### 44. They keep charging me without receipts $300 yearly when I am on a free plan, and last year they couldn't refund it because 'they can't locate the transaction.' This year they use chatbots that say my transaction is not refundable. So $900 that I didn't agree to, and I need to close my AMEX to prevent the charges I didn't agree to while I am on a free plan. I also love their tutorial videos for things I need help with, there's both video and a transcript so it's super easy to find what I need without waiting forever for a response email when I have a quick question. **What do you dislike about Riverside?** It took some time getting used to the layout of the site, but the tutorials online were very helpful in getting set up.
