What do you like best?

The questionnaire that Riskalyze provides for clients to use creates great client engagement and provides an excellent visual for them based on real numbers of growth or decline of their portfolio, providing real examples of how certain market events could alter their total assets. Recommendations to others considering the product:

Try to go to one of their live training sessions. They are great for tips and tricks and provide insight to the options that they provide through their various subscriptions. It was not difficult for our team to find a training session that was close to us, and they even gave us a free pass for one of the members in the office after we had purchased two seats. I would also definitely recommend building your own frequently used models (if you have them) to easily do side by side risk comparisons for clients of their current model against what you could provide them. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It solves the problem of hypothetical market situations clients think they would be ok with being abstract to them by illustrating hard numbers (for example, what their total portfolio would drop to in the event of a double digits downturn in the market). What do you like best?

The Riskalyze software allows us to know the exact amount of risk a client want to take as well as the exact amount of risk the client is currently taking. It also provides the ability to show the clients a retirement map to help them save for their future. Riskalyze also creates an Investment Policy Statement which is a clear benefit for both of our relationships. The very first client we used it on moved enough money to pay for the software due to the detail that Riskalyze provided!! It has been the best investment in to our practice that we have made. What do you dislike?

Nothing, the software, support and tools are easy to integrate into your business. When we joined the onboarding team was great at helping us get trained as well as directing us to different self training sites for the furtherance of our training. The software is very robust and can be a little intimidating at first, this could be a problem for a busy advisor trying to integrate this into their practice. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The problems we are solving are making sure the portfolios are the exact risk tolerance the clients wants. The benefit is that is removes the emotion out the process. What do you like best?

Riskalyze has a simple and elegant user interface. It has a very easy to understand (both for client and advisor) system by which "risk" is quantified. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

There are securities missing from their interface. Most of the annuities included in the database have outdated or difficult-to-find ratings of the subaccounts. A lot of the analytics for each holding is inaccessible from the client-level interface and you have to go back out to the main screen to access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Both clients and prospects have a very clear understanding of how their portfolio is currently positioned with respect to risk after a quick input and calculation. The retirement map feature provides a nice visualization for clients to better understand where they're at with respect to financial independence or retirement based upon their current portfolio, savings plan, and/or how changes being considered will help improve the trajectory. What do you like best?

What I like best are the three main functions I use Riskalyze for; 1) Risk assessment. 2) Portfolio proposals, and 3) High level retirement planning. I have used all three with both prospects and clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

When evaluating outside holdings, particularly inside 401k plans, it can sometimes be difficult to find the specific holding (Ticker or CUSIP) in order to deliver the most accurate proposal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Riskalyze provides a multi-faceted tool which can assist in all phases of serving advisory clients. From the pre-client stage with risk assessment, proposal and retirement map - to using the same tools during their lifetime as a client. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The three I outlined above; risk assessment, proposal generation and light planning. I like that the conversations with clients are largely not investment specific, and more planning specific. I invite clients to assess their risk level approximately every two years - or when they have experienced a significant change in circumstances. What do you like best?

It is very simple to use and provides a good visual representation to the client who may not understand the dynamics of a portfolio but can still communicate effectively to where the material is understandable and relevant. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Nothing major. Some minor caveats. I would like to see a copy portfolio feature to where you can bulk move all the positions to cash instead of having to click on them individually or the alternate step of remembering what the account balance is when you create a new proposal if you don't copy the holdings. The RTQ only has positive or negative in regards to the market and confident or anxious in the financial future. I wish those had a third option in the middle. Help taking the emotion out of investing. Create responsibilities for the client as we are only as good as the information they give us. Being able to have a template for an investment policy statement. Visual presentations for proposals. Simplifying meetings and shortening them to build more time on relationships. The dashboard that shows the current portfolio and the proposed portfolio side-by-side is a wonderful feature. I can not say enough good things about using it!!!! What do you like best?

We love the risk number! Modern platform, with advanced tools to incorporate your own models or those of large asset managers. Numerous integrations. Retirement Map feature is good for basic planning. *Outstanding* customer support--fast and thorough. Conscientious folks from the top down. All around, they are our favorite software provider. What do you dislike?

Automatically classifying certain esoteric assets can be problematic, but there are workarounds. Biggest gripe as a solo adviser (2 people total) is extra cost to add a (true) assistant's license, as that capability is helpful especially if you get into some of the more advanced features like portfolio management, as well as review prep and just monitoring client data in the program. I say "true" assistant to differentiate between us in solo firms vs. a hypothetical group of a half-dozen practicing advisers under one "team." Forget your ancient, firm-provided risk analysis tool and ditch labels like "moderately balanced." Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Aligning expectations. Easily quantifies the amount of risk clients are willing to risk for potential future returns, and they get it. Lots of people say they're comfortable risking 20% until you show them in detail that it's $200K on a $1 million portfolio. We love showing prospects how they're allocated vs. their questionnaire, as it's usually way off. Check-In feature automates touching base with client. What do you like best?

It's hard to say what the best is. They were the first with real risk tolerance analysis and from what I've seen, they're still the leader. They continue to innovate and add value for advisors. They've gone from a service I used to measure a client's risk tolerance to being one of the three software tools I couldn't live without. Riskalyze has created the best client conversations EVER about risk. I used to use it just on the client side but now cannot work up my investment models without it. The old days where we did little planning and basically said well, my fund did better than yours are gone. Now, we need to understand what's behind the facade. Riskalyze helps us do that. What do you like best?

There are many things to like from the ease of use to the extreme amount of information provided on existing portfolio risk vs. proposed portfolio risk. It is impressive the analytical quality of the assets safeguard worked by Riskalyze's programming, a fully functional software to equip with precise tools your commercial operations, where their economic valuation is part of the e-commerce authentication in my company, since its financial technology offers impeccable business advice, direct implementation of investment portfolios, delivery of purchase records, traceable economic innovation processing, market failure containment, purchase order fulfillment, administrative code management backup operation are developed by this platform. In Riskalyze there is an error in the linking of bank accounts, where its equipment of configurable analytical positions of financial aspect, are unused because they have a proportion of deficient overload of organizational flows of tasks, making that in my company there are problems of execution of payment procedures, validation of transfers of wrong accounts, selection of destination to monetary accounts, systematization of positions of payment credits without verification of the client's data, they compromise the correct use of tools of the software of this application, so its extraordinary direction of control of bank metadata must be restored. What do you like best?

When I first started using Riskalyze they were the only solution (other than the usual 8 questions on a sponsor's website) for risk assessment. There are other players now. I would recommend doing your due diligence comparing Riskalyze to the others. With the most recent downturn in the market due to the pandemic, I plan on seeing how the 95% holds up. What do you like best?

It is great being able to quantify your portfolio and match it to clients risk tolerance. Risk tolerance is an art and a science. Riskalyze makes the client conversation easier to conduct. In fairness, I have a bias to Riskalyze because I have used them since inception. There is not a perfect software for anything, but I find their risk software platform to be pretty damn awesome. I even read the 1-star reviews on G2 before posting this review, and it appears most of the low ratings submitted were for contractual issues and not the software itself. I will certainly contact Riskalzye and encourage them to better address contractual disagreements, but it is their company, and I'm sure there is another side to every story. What do you like best?

It is easy for the client to understand. I am able to load an existing portfolio and quantify the clients risk while being able to show them real risk and performance data. What do you like best?

The ability to set the expectation for the level of risk the client is comfortable with. And that we can adjust their portfolio once they see the downside probability. This is a very interactive risk tolerance methodology and from our perspective they are the leader in this area. The leadership of the company provides innovation and adds value for advisors. They provide services we used to measure a client's risk tolerance to being technology we use regularly with clients. This would be in addition to Redtail and our financial planning program. What do you like best?

Managing risk and effectively articulating risk to a client was extremely difficult before Riskalyze came along and revolutionized the process. I call my pre-Riskalyze days the Dark Ages of managing money. I no longer feel like I'm managing money in the dark. The documentation does not work well, data input is difficult at best, to get the most out of the service you have to continually purchase the add ins, if you try to cancel the service you receive a threat they will submit "breach of contract" to FINRA, they do an auto annual renewal without notification. What do you like best?

What do you like best?

Risk Number questionnaire is a unique spin on the typical risk tolerance questionnaire. It's also great that we can customize the questionnaire to match the client's portfolio, so they can see (in real dollars) how taking on more risk will affect their portfolio. What do you dislike?

I wish it synced better with our recordkeeping system (FIS Relius). We also use RedTail, which syncs great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Riskalyze's blend of behavioral finance with analytics provides a much more realistic assessment of a client's true risk tolerance than purely analytical questionnaires Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
