The software is easily accessible on any Chrome web browser and has a logical and easy to follow layout for even the novice digital signage user. It is easy to step through Presentations, Scheduling and then Display Management with the online tool. The granular level of being able to schedule particular elements within a presentation to appear at certain times, on certain displays is also a welcome feature i.e. we can have a global presentation across an entire floor, but only activate a variable message on selected displays, all within the one template. Another way we have used this is the direction of entry access buttons - depending on the physical display location, the arrow will point left or right, once again all within the same presentation which reduces duplication and effort. The ability to run the software or inexpensive Raspberry Pi and the cost point per location is also extremely competitive, allowing us to put more screens in more locations with less budget. It would be great to have a more mobile friendly experience on phones, especially for quickly changing a schedule or managing displays. Folders would also be a welcome addition to better organise assets. For a large campus, we use sub-companies for each building to better control assets and manage access, so having a global 'every sub-company under my main company' view would be great for 'at a glance' or dashboard reviews, especially for display management. I like being able to remotely manage digital signage in 50+ urgent care locations across the state of South Carolina. Our IT department handles the hardware management (currently using Asus Chromebit sticks in most of our locations), and I take care of the content. Each center has its own patient queue, so there's a presentation and schedule for each location. All of the locations include the same embedded presentation with a rotating media slideshow, images and short mp4 videos. This media presentation also includes a background rotation of mp3 audio music files that play in about a ten minute loop. I update the content as needed in the one presentation, and it gets updated in all of the locations. The embedded presentation feature is my favorite part of RiseVision. It's so much better than the clunky and expensive solution that was used before this. Also, it's nice to be able to reboot the Chromebit remotely without involving the IT department. It's sometimes difficult to tell what's showing on the remote schedule. The remote reboot feature doesn't work sometimes, and I have to call the location and have them unplug it and plug it back in. This may be a result of using the Chromebit sticks, as they can get hot after a while. We have them set to reboot every night during non business hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Rise Vision has made it easy for us to update our digital signage around our 12,000 square foot facility. It's easy to operate. Installation was a breeze, also.
There are great integrations with Google Docs and with other sites makes it easy to create great looking presentations. Lots of templates to make creating attractive, professional content a breeze.
On the hardware / implementation side, Rise Vision runs really effectively on light weight machines. We run it on Intel NUCs strapped to the back of the displays, and it never stutters or breaks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We did run into an issue early on with multiple display resolutions throughout our install, but we got those bugs sorted out pretty easily. Rise Vision's display settings helped us to identify the problem spots.
Our learning curve right at the beginning wasn't the smoothest -- we'd get layers out of order, or lose a layer beneath a background, but Rise Vision's help section helped us to figure all of that out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the ease to change content to all displays as well as the featured content that is available. Presentations are easy to edit and create very visual and inviting content for users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I use ChromeBits to use RiseVision and they work great, but I am finding that ChromeBits are less available, I may need to explore other platforms on how to run RiseVision, but my current application is working great. I just want to ensure we have great continue coverage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Rise Vision has predesigned templates that make it easy to plug in your information and "Publish" in a matter of minutes. It is very easy to edit and make changes to any "Presentation." The scheduling is very easy to manage and has many options for when presentation will appear on the signage screens. RiseVision keeps improving their templates with relevant every day information that is timely for the month. We were especially appreciate of the covid awareness templates that included reminders for wearing masks, keeping distance, and washing hands. as well as the flu vaccination presentation. We are a K-12 school system and they have important holiday information and fun holiday countdowns. We like the fact that the templates are customizable to our school colors. The presentation designs make it easy to upload our own images as well as videos. We espcially like the connection to Google Drive for making links to Google Presentations that can be played within the presentation templates. We like that the RiseVision in an online platform that can be accessed from anywhere an internet connection is available to easily make adjustments to presentations or schedules. Another feature that we like is that each screen connection can be programmed separately and not all monitors have to have the same schedule running at the same time. While the formatting abilities have improved greatly, there are still limitations for editing the templates for us to make them our own. The ability to change font size is now available, but there is no option to change fonts and move text boxes within a presentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
RiseVision makes digital signage easy with a simple intuitive interface. They walk you through the process step-by-step and have short videos to show how to do each phase. Technical support has been responsive and friendly which is refreshing compared to other companies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I’ve never found a software package that was perfect and RiseVision is no exception, although my current issues are nitpicky. I’m looking to do some unique scheduling, which RiseVision actually does a decent job of handling but just not quite in the way I’d hoped. I can make it work with the minor limitations. The other minor issue I’ve run into is I’m unable to copy an existing presentation that you’ve customized. I can work around it but it would be a timesaver. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Rise Vision is simple to use. They have provided helpful templates that we can customize to use with our school. With the way our schedule is set up, we have students that gather in the area around the sign. We are able to display current information that updates daily.
Being able to access the software for the sign remotely is extremely helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We would sometimes like to customize some of the templates more than we are able to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I was amazed by how professional the templates look and how easy they are to personalize for our company. I love that new content is added weekly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I think could be easier is designing a screen from scratch. It is not as intuitive as I expected. But after reading some training articles, I was able to design my own slides when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As Creative Services and Communications Director, I am in charge of communicating to 5 different Fralin Life Sciences Institute buildings which span the Virginia Tech campus. I love that I can access Rise Vision on my phone or laptop and easily update our messaging.
Other administrators at our University have been inspired to start using Rise Vision for their units. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We had a billing issue one month, but that was quickly resolved.
An app for easy access would be helpful in the future! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is a very user friendly software. I like the selection of presentations that the company has made. It is easy to change the presentation to meet my needs. It is very easy to train someone to use it. You can select your companies colors and logo so when you create a new presentation it is ready to go!
Previously used a very complicated software requiring me to learn HTML. I had such issues with it. It was a long process to create a slide or edit one. This is a million times better. I am very happy with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish I could copy a presentation that I made or edited. Other than that I really can't think of anything else that I dislike about it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Rise Vision platform is easy to use and develop great digital signage for our school. Our team is able to create effective signage pretty quickly, which allows us to respond to changing needs throughout our schedule. We have also had great response every time we have contacted the help desk at Rise Vision. Very short response times means that we are able to move forward with what we are trying to accomplish. The hardest aspect is the video. While the landscape templates work great, there are currently no full screen portrait video templates (although I was told they are working on one). Right now, this limits what we can do for our Arts department (music performances, plays, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Oakridge School is an independent, college preparatory school serving students age 3 through grade 12. With such a broad range, it is wonderful to have a partner that anticipates our communications needs, as evidenced by the relevant, creative, and useful content provided via the Rise Vision Digital Signage templates. Frequent reminders about what is available are helpful, too, as most education institutions find themselves in a very busy season of life because of COVID-19. There is much to do and to communicate about with our faculty, staff, and students. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While the Rise Vision provides a lot of flexibility, it would be nice to be able to schedule messages and to load images directly to Rise Vision from other social apps and programs (such as Canva). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I appreciate that the interface is easy to use and the able to apply content to multiple screens. Also the pre-created templates are well designed and easy to customize to the needs of the building and the district. The availability of special event/holiday screens allows for awareness of current events and trends without having to spend any time creating content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are not any features that I dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Rise Vision's platform is very straightforward and easy to use. We currently use it to display events and announcements at the University of Valley Forge, and the platform makes it very simple to display the events and announcements all over campus. The price also make Rise Vision an affordable option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Occasionally, the displays need reformatting, and I haven't found a way to be notified when this happens. Usually someone passing by the displays notices it needs fixed, and then that info is relayed back to us. I do wish there was a way to know when this issues needs fixing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Rise Vision is very easy to use. It took me no time to set up the new system and if I had any questions, they were quick to hop on a call and walk me through it. The platform itself is VERY easy to use - which is great for me with an already busy calendar. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The templates are geared towards schools which is great but we are a business so having some quick easy business templates would be nice Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really like all the templates. They are so many to chose from I find myself always wanting to add to my presentations everyday. Made my job of getting info out to the students and their families so much easier. Whats great is I can use the same templates that is showing in our building and use them on our website. No need to add new info for the website. It all gets pushed out at the same time. Game changer!!!
I really like how I can now push our live web streams to all the displays and our website with the help of Risevision.
Customer Service is awesome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing. It all works great. I can't say a negative thing about the product or service. It's been a game changer for our school. We are on a whole different level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The web-based management allows users to make changes on the fly. It can be slightly difficult to get started without a tutorial, in terms of knowing how to publish updates and changes, but it's relatively intuitive and you'll be creating and updating your signage pretty quickly. After that first time, it's a breeze. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I found the process for swapping licenses from one device to another could be improved. There's no indication (that I found) to let a user know when the license will be active on the newer device. After restarting the program a few times on the intended device, restarting the device itself, and after telling the software to change licenses didn't work, I uninstalled and reinstalled the RiseVision application, and it worked after that. If it was coincidental timing and not reinstallation that fixed it, then it took a LONG time after the device showed as active in the web interface before it would pass the license check upon launching the application. I would recommend starting with reinstallation first, don't wait on it to dial out and confirm its newly active status with a previously unlicensed installation. Our display is sleek and modern. People are able to gather important information daily. It is also fun to highlight some of the great things happening throughout our organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is nothing I dislike. I had a couple of issues getting things set up, but the support I received from the Rise Vision team was the best customer service I have ever had. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Love the pre-built templates! So many to choose from, and automatically populating the templates with my brand's colors and logo is an awesome feature! I also love that several of the templates auto-update. So I can be as hands on as I want to be. I can set it and forget it and know that Rise Vision will auto update the appropriate templates or I can go in and update myself as frequently as I want to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Would be helpful to have the capability to have more than one schedule synced to a media player. This may be possible, but haven't been able to make that work yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is very easy to get started with RiseVision and to maintain. Ten years ago, to have digital signage in multiple locations populated with different content would cost tens of thousands of dollars. RiseVision makes it simple and affordable so that organizations of any size can have professional communication board. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The solution best works with Google products. For non-education organizations that use Microsoft products, it would be helpful if there were more Microsoft integration presentations. There needs to be more training online, especially for using the "Blank Template". Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
