If you want to do custom disclamers, policies, or IT applications and MDM you are pretty much left to figure out work arounds. For example, on the MDM side, if the Application is in the appstore or preconfigured in their library, it is super easy to use. If you need to try and do a custom application, there is little to no support or documentation on how to do it. Same hold true for provisioning. If the app is in the library you are good to go, but custom ones are nearly universally off the table and out of most peoples reach. **What problems is Rippling IT solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is a good all around platform. It's very straightforward and easy to navigate. I use Rippling to clock in and out everyday as well as view my paystub information. I also check my timestamps everyday to see what days I clocked in early/late + overtime hours I've accumulated. Another thing Rippling shows me that I appreciate is all of my co-workers information like name and position, which is very helpful when starting out and getting to know everyone. I had an issue regarding adjusting my 401k plan and Rippling made it super easy to find exactly what I needed to do in order to accomplish my goals. It has a very intuitive help page which got me to where I needed to be quickly and efficiently. Rippling also has great notifications and artwork. I notice every time I get paid, it sends me an e-mail and every time it is a different, fun artwork that puts a smile on my face and makes payday just that much more special. **What do you dislike about Rippling IT?** The only thing that confuses me is the different apps that are available on Rippling's app shop. Granted, I have not spent much time navigating and learning about them, but it does add a layer of complexity. I haven't needed to use any of the extra apps featured on Rippling's app shop, so I can not give it a bad score because of this. Do you need to clock in? Easy enough. Do you need to check out your paycheck? They've got that too. Need to make sure your 401K is doing what you want it to do? They've got external links to connected services on the main page. Everything that I've needed working at my company has been easy through this website. I genuinely like it! **What do you dislike about Rippling IT?** The *only* reason I did not rate Rippling a 10 was because I wish you could add widgets to the front of the landing page. Its nice to see the different pages I can go to while there, but it would be nice to have a clock-in widget so i don't have to travel to a different page before doing that. **What problems is Rippling IT solving and how is that benefiting you?** For my uses on the platform, I just need to clock in/out and make sure I'm getting paid. I must state here that after entering a leave request, the manager can approve it, and I receive an email notification within the shortest time I would say it is very fast! Another useful thing is that even if I do not remember when a particular leave can be taken, I can always go back and apply it which is quite advantageous. The other tool that I think is quite useful is the hierarchy chart. While using Rippling as an application, I noticed that it offered a hierarchy of an organization, which as a fresher I did not know. It made it much easier to understand things. Another thing I like is the review cycles feature. At least there’s some order on how the feedbacks and performance will be managed – it makes everything clear and systematized. **What do you dislike about Rippling IT?** When I was promoted from an intern to a full-time employee, I had problems with the optional leaves. However, despite my HR team making the changes on my behalf, the system was able to indicate that I had gone over the limit. For the leaves I used, I expected them not to be counted since they were from my internship and not from the current semester. This was something that did not work well with the system and that was rather irritating. Lastly, how about if Rippling has the ability to cancel leaves once they have been approved in case that becomes necessary? It would be handy sometimes to cancel a leave if needed with the permission of the manager to do so, because sometimes you have to change the plans. Something I’ve come to realize is that the mobile UI could be redesigned as well as improve its functionality. Some of the padding, for instance on the legal pages, have not been well standardized, and this makes the arrangements slightly imbalanced. Perhaps all the pages could have equal padding so that everything looks a bit less amateurish. Also the design of the ‘Refer a Friend’ page seems a bit unprofessional compared to other ‘Refferal program’ pages and the URL itself seems unprofessional. No doubt, all these staking observed might contribute to giving the mobile experience a more unified look and feel. **What problems is Rippling IT solving and how is that benefiting you?** Rippling is addressing multiple issues arising from handling employee data and HR, tasks, payroll, and IT systems within a single application. Here’s how it benefits me as an employee: 1. Simplified Leave Management Applying for leaves should not be a problem when using Rippling. I am able to send a request and once my manager has approved I receive an email notification. At least I am free to go back to the website and do the leave application on whichever date I remember. Per SR4, I am able to be more scheduled and punctual because of this flexibility hence I don’t miss time to have fun. 2. Taking Position: Ease of Understanding the Structure of an Organization When I was a fresher it took some time to comprehend the organizational structure of the company. Under the hierarchy chart of Rippling, I see that it is easier to understand how one person reports to another, and this assisted me in understanding how the workflow and communication were done. It has been very helpful in dealing with work environment since I am still new to the company. 3. Efficient Review Cycles The review cycles incorporated in Rippling make it easy to monitor performance and feedback since they are well coordinated. It provides me with a framework through which I am informed of my strengths and weaknesses that may be quite beneficial for my growth in the working world. All in all, by consolidating the numerous systems that are in place Rippling is, therefore, the solution to this dilemma since it offers a single platform for HR, Payroll and organizational processes that will be helpful to me in that it simplifies most of the processes. ### 28. It is not difficult at all to understand what is needed or what task or due and how to get there. The App is one of the simple yet elegant and I love how it looks. I can use it to look at paystubs, request time off or even see what things are due for what department. **What do you dislike about Rippling IT?** I would say that the least favorite part about rippling would be the red due dates on overdue task. **What problems is Rippling IT solving and how is that benefiting you?** Made onboarding a breeze and extremely easy. ### 29. Also there is an SSO link to external company that manages my 401K plan. Also, nice security feature that periodically requires to authenticate user. **What do you dislike about Rippling IT?** I was not able to modify sick time request after my doctor canceled the appointment on the day of the appointment. But that is a rare occurance. My company admin was able to make the time off date adjustment for me. **What problems is Rippling IT solving and how is that benefiting you?** Tracking my vacation and sick time balance. Health insurance membership details information is stored in Rippling. Biweekly timesheet can be populated in one session, which is convernient.I can use the Single Sign-On from Rippling to access my 401K plan at another company. Payroll application is very nice. Besides payroll statements this application allows to use multiple bank accounts if you need to split your paycheck by percentage or by amount. All are very useful features. I do not recall experiencing all that with other applications in the past. ### 30. This is because I have had issues with dates when trying to add a half day. The program makes it confusing on how much time is actually being taken off and limits the user experience. **What problems is Rippling IT solving and how is that benefiting you?** Rippling solves the problem of writing down hours manually and sending them to my employer. Rippling has a clean easy to use tracking software so all I have to do is clock in and clock out of my shift. The only issue I have is that sometimes at lunch I will accidentally clock out instead of select "take a break" and once this button has been pushed I can't go back and instead have to submit a time-change request to my manager which makes more work for both of us. I would prefer if this feature could be changed. ### 43. Lastly, Rippling is used as authentication for other applications which makes sign-in on other applications easier as well. **What do you dislike about Rippling IT?** I have been needing to get a authentication code through email or phone every time I sign in which is inconvenient.
