"Switched from Elite & am fairly happy "

What do you like best?

The interface is fairly well designed, making it fairly easy to enter data or to create information and visualizations. The software supports a robust set of features that can all be accessed through a single portal or site. There are analysis functions that help show patterns or trends based on time sensitive information.

What do you dislike?

The software can sometimes seem buggy and may have some operational issues. For some the wealth of features may be intimidating at first, requiring some training to become proficient in its usage. The performance of the program can be slow at times.

Recommendations to others considering the product

LMS is a software package designed to help manage information in a law practice or legal organization. In our case it was used to manage attorney interactions with clients, accounting, and financial responsibilities. The application help with information management and made it easier to enter data such as billing hours, client information, expenditures, and project time frames.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It is really well suited to medium to large sized attorney firms and practices. For small firms with one or two attorneys, it can be a bit of an overkill with its many features and components. On the other hand, smaller firms could pick and choose which features or components could be used without needing to utilize the entire package.

"Just switched to this product and it is not user friendly"

What do you like best?

That it has an app and can be used on apple products.

What do you dislike?

I have been a lawyer for 16 years and used many different billing programs, and this one by far is the most difficult to use. It needs to be simplified. There are far too many steps to complete to do simple tasks, too many screens, and too many options. We are lawyers, not accountants and the system is causing extreme frustration to us. It is also not user friendly. Most billing programs are intuitive, easy to figure out this one is not. One example of many is that we have to go in and release the time we have entered, most systems have it auto released after a set period of time. The training was also not adequate.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Time entry and accounting.
