"Great visual studio alternative"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Rider?

Solution load performance. I use both visual studio (w/ reSharper ultimate) and Rider, performance is vastly better on rider when it comes to large scale refactoring and other activities that would fill me with dread on visual studio. (Namespace changed, removing unused usings) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rider?

Very limited external plugins. Compared to visual studio. It would really benefit from an AWS toolkit.(This is really my main gripe as an avid AWS User, if this was available, I wouldn't shut up about how great Rider is) Up until 2017.3 it didn't have great support for .net core / .net standard projects.
