RIB Digital Handover uses the BIM model as the basis for gathering relevant O&M data in a database. The process is simple and efficient for all parties, guaranteeing high quality data. With RIB Digital Handover, the building model is used from design to building operations. The building owner can use information from the handover directly for Operations and Maintenance, and data can be exported to any Facility Management software. Data is received directly from contractors and suppliers and because everything is organized in a database, all information is digital, searchable and easily scrutinized. Models can be preserved by using IFC import, and all data is collected in a database. Consequently, building operations can be planned more effectively and initiated consecutively as parts of the project are completed.
