Rewind Backups is meeting a big need for me. Our storefront is on Shopify Plus and just over two years ago I was doing a bulk update to my entire product catalog and accidentally deleted everything. Over 2000 products, gone. I did not have Rewind at the time so I had to manually restore everything and out store was down for an entire weekend. After I got our products restored after hours of work I went looking for a Shopify app that could backup all of our data automatically. That is when I found Rewind Backups. Rewind took very little time to implement. I wish I had known about it sooner because it would have saved me a ton of time. Now Rewind works in the background to backup my data without me even having to open the app. I can literally sleep better knowing that my store data is backed up and can easily be accessed if/when I need it. Rewind is an insurance policy for me. Since my webstore is hosted on Shopify and they do not have a native backup function, I needed something that could back my product data to the could. I can rest assured that Rewind is running in the background daily to save all my store data in case I need to restore it for any reason. The small monthly cost of rewind is worth the peace of mind. Rewind Backups provide specific granularity for your instances. I find it easy to setup, configure and test. The people and support from the Rewind team is beyond compare, they lead and support with empathy. I think that the only thing I would recommend is a step to warn users that once configuration begins, the backups start running would be helpful. Otherwise, I have no reason to have any concerns. Rewind is backing up cloud data for our Atlassian instances and it helps me solve major headaches about the potential loss of data through any interaction. I know that it protects organizations from loss through accidental, intentional, or operational issues that might affect the bottom line. When it is setup and running, then I feel comfortable with the fact that it is protecting the data as it should. A malicious actor can't destroy data (it is recoverable), a mistake like an accidental delete or overwrite won't harm us, and an operational issue such as downtime or loss of connectivity will keep the system safe. To me, running Reqind should be a part of the standard setup of your instance. It's like having a battery backup on your systems. The functions are very transparent and easy to use. The administration and transition to an SSO login went flawlessly. The collaboration with the development department, including the direct implementation of parts of our feedback, is very productive, direct, and always an open exchange. The current data retention period is too short for our needs. For this purpose, the function to mirror our snapshots to our own AWS buckets has now been implemented, but of course, it would be better not to rely on our own data storage. I use Rewind Backups for my BigCommerce sandbox and production environment. It solves the issue of backups flawlessly, allowing us to revert back quickly if we run into any issues or errors on the site. I like that we can choose what components we want to revive from a backup, and that it backs up all of our customer and order data, which is essential for an e-commerce site. I also appreciate how easily it works out of the box and how easy it is to navigate. They gave us a great deal on backing up both the production and sandbox environments in one package. The best thing is what the Rewind team has created, namely Trello board backups. I haven't found any other product like it, and what I do in Trello is crucial for my business.
