Our storefront is on Shopify Plus and just over two years ago I was doing a bulk update to my entire product catalog and accidentally deleted everything. Over 2000 products, gone. I did not have Rewind at the time so I had to manually restore everything and out store was down for an entire weekend. After I got our products restored after hours of work I went looking for a Shopify app that could backup all of our data automatically. That is when I found Rewind Backups. Rewind took very little time to implement. I wish I had known about it sooner because it would have saved me a ton of time. Now Rewind works in the background to backup my data without me even having to open the app. I can literally sleep better knowing that my store data is backed up and can easily be accessed if/when I need it. **What do you dislike about Rewind Backups?** I honestly have not found anything with Rewind Backups that I do not like. It is very much a set it and forget it solution for backing up our data to the cloud. **What problems is Rewind Backups solving and how is that benefiting you?** Rewind is an insurance policy for me. Since my webstore is hosted on Shopify and they do not have a native backup function, I needed something that could back my product data to the could. I can rest assured that Rewind is running in the background daily to save all my store data in case I need to restore it for any reason. I am happy to have this tool handy to save, restore and backup data because I know that it works as intended. **What do you dislike about Rewind Backups?** I think that the only thing I would recommend is a step to warn users that once configuration begins, the backups start running would be helpful. Otherwise, I have no reason to have any concerns. **What problems is Rewind Backups solving and how is that benefiting you?** Rewind is backing up cloud data for our Atlassian instances and it helps me solve major headaches about the potential loss of data through any interaction. I know that it protects organizations from loss through accidental, intentional, or operational issues that might affect the bottom line. When it is setup and running, then I feel comfortable with the fact that it is protecting the data as it should. A malicious actor can't destroy data (it is recoverable), a mistake like an accidental delete or overwrite won't harm us, and an operational issue such as downtime or loss of connectivity will keep the system safe. To me, running Reqind should be a part of the standard setup of your instance. It's like having a battery backup on your systems. It is a small price to pay to save millions when considering the cost of not having it when you need it. ### 3. The collaboration with the development department, including the direct implementation of parts of our feedback, is very productive, direct, and always an open exchange. GDPR compliance being one of them. Features are easy to understand. I had a minor issue which we had caused our selves but wasn't uncommon in the process, this issue is common because of how atlassian doesn't enforce the use of service account for backup tools and the team helped me out great. All though it took a little time too time differences. We solved our requirements. With virtually no time wasted escalating the issues and clear instructions on what their team needs from us. For the application it self, it is pretty straight foward. You run your application and the back up stars running. We also discussed briefly how to prevent this issues for others in the future. And the team have let known they will make the improvements suggested. With all hurdles taken away now on our side it's very easy to intergrate in our backup for both Jira & Confluence. **What do you dislike about Rewind Backups?** One of the things that just is a slight inconvience for us is that the only date format avaible contains AM/PM times instead of 24 hour clock. The fact that it "just works" behind the scenes with no intervention is pretty much the definition of what we want with any backup solution, and indeed, that's what Rewind delivers. It's excellent value for the money, and kudos to the Rewind team for not cranking the price up when you inevitably have to migrate from GitHub Teams to GitHub Enterprise. **What do you dislike about Rewind Backups?** Probably the only thing I would change about Rewind Backups where GitHub is concerned is that the GitHub Enterprise signup could be improved. Rewind is seamless for non-Enterprise, but you have to exchange some emails for an Enterprise subscription. All-in-all it took like 1 business day to be up and running, but there was more friction than for regular GitHub Teams. I'm guessing that's a limitation of the GitHub Enterprise platform, and not something the Rewind team can do much about. **What problems is Rewind Backups solving and how is that benefiting you?** We like to back up critical IP, and we're required to by the various compliance regimes to which we subscribe. Our workflow is very high, therefore we use this software to facilitate and save time in the development of our projects and all our commercial activities, we can link other applications with Rewind to make an effective backup so that everything remains registered. I like that the general user interface is colorful and very unchallenging, allowing me to navigate through it quickly. The setup was also easy, and I could integrate it with my Trello account quickly and backup all my information like tasks and projects into the cloud. It also automatically backups everything once you're all set up, so I didn't have to worry about constantly remembering to backup every day or week. Rewind provides an excellent solution for data loss. **What do you dislike about Rewind Backups?** The server is sometimes relatively slow and will take a long time to upload information into the cloud. I have also had to restore data sometimes because of changes that I did and ended up not being content with them; converting time also took longer than expected. It would be great if Rewind could improve that part of the product. **Recommendations to others considering Rewind Backups:** Due to the big amount of malware and dangerous cyberattacks that occur every day and with an increased quantify, I think that every business should implement software that will back up their QBO data or Trello data. Not only that but there have been cases where employees have caused significant data loss due to being untrained or so, which is why it's essential not to risk this critical information. In my opinion, Rewind Backups is the key to this. **What problems is Rewind Backups solving and how is that benefiting you?** Rewind Backups is crucial for preventing data loss in my business and undoing unwanted changes on our files, Trello accounts, and more. I have been lucky enough that I have not needed to recover big chunks of our data because of cyberattacks, but I know that if that ever happens, I can be safe and sound because I have it all backed up on Rewind. It's a significant relief knowing that if anything were to happen if all my information were to be deleted, I could count on this program to restore it quickly.
