  ### 11. Many possibilities with Revit

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Revit?**

I love that in the latest versions of Revit, you are implementing more Rendering support or plug-ins and expanding the interoperability and compatibility across multiple softwares, and making it easier to expand to VR. If you don't break Revit, it will be your best friend! The support and ease of integrating other software files and dynamo scripts to automate processes is a huge asset of Revit

**What do you dislike about Revit?**

At times when users experience corrupt cloud workshared model issues where its really abrupt and proper workflows are practiced. Other corruption issues are not easily cleared - where a user will see that the model has synced, but the prompt they receive says the model did not sync successfully, and then after relinquishing worksets and syncing again, it will be successful. This happens on random projects and hopefully we can see some form of error message or logs to determine the course of action for issues like this. There are also not enough features to lock elements from accidentally being deleted. Would be great to have a BIM Manager tool to block edit options for certain elements in the model.

**What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The model review tool and the integration with other products for clash detection. So far, for the past year and a half, Revit and its plugins have helped me reduce over 2000 clashes for a project and has helped us avoid any costly revisions down the road. It has helped my team collaborate efficiently with the connectivity to BIM360 Issues. With the NWC File exporter, I am able to integrate the model into Navisworks for a deeper analysis of the model for Clashes. Revit is also helping and teaching our designers to design more efficiently with them being able to see their work in 3D and efficiently space planning around the client expectation.

  ### 12. Revit Architecture Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Armand R. | Architect, Architecture & Planning, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2023

For faster creation of 3D Modelling with Building Information.

**What do you dislike about Revit?**

Need more rectification when it comes to creation of family

**What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working Drawings

  ### 13. Working in Revit is addictive.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vrushank P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Revit?**

Very easy to use. I use it almost daily. Ability to automatically synchronise modifications made in any 1 view & update all affected views simultaneously & instantly. Also the ability to track ownership of modifications made by various team members. The support Team at autodesk is quite skilled at helping us pin-point the problem whenever it occurs.

**What do you dislike about Revit?**

compatibility of versions. Requires us to install multiple versions to work for multiple clients. This bloates our PC performance.

**What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Revit is making my work less stressful. It is easy for me to train other people to use revit as per our work-flow. The ability to collaborate across offices & disciplines on a single project is very much appreciated.

  ### 14. Solid drafting software with lots of options

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Revit?**

The software is fairly well laid out and it is easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Revit?**

The file versioning (every year a new version) is kind of annoying. Also, the software does not recognize which year the file is, so it always opens the wrong Revit version.

**What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Aligning BIM models and editing where needed. This helps us to align BIM Models for coordination purposes.

  ### 15. enhanced collaboration, improved accuracy in design industry

**Reviewed by:** David H. | Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Revit?**

Everthing. I love how it forces you to think in three dimensions like an architect should. Well suited for construction documents. Every year it gets better and better with new features.

**What do you dislike about Revit?**

The learning curve was a little steep but once you get over it, everything becomes intuitive. My biggest dislike is the high price tag that comes with it.

**What do you like best about Revit?**

It is easy to use and has good visualization. We can create 3D models that can integrate with another tool; we can have coordinated models.

**What do you dislike about Revit?**

It is a complex tool, with multiple layers of information.

**What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us to create 3D models according to the designs and helps us on-site to have a better understanding of what we want to do. It is easy to show the customer and the project manager the designs.

**Reviewed by:** Rodrigo F. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Revit?**

Is an amazing tool to work, it's easy and very fast. The facility to work with a computer

**What do you dislike about Revit?**

It's a bit weird to navigate in all the menus, the way Revit makes stairs is the most inefficient way to make stairs.

**What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The difficulty to have to make a lot of plains with just one model

  ### 21. Many design opportunities

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mary G. | Candidate Architectural Technologist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Revit?**

Revit is great for collaboration between design and engineering departments. it is a powerful design tool especially with you learn how to make parametric families.

**What do you dislike about Revit?**

Revit doesn't allow you to open newer files if you are using an older version which means everyone has to have the same version of Revit. Revit can be tricky to create organic forms.

**What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps architects work faster. If you make one change in the model it automatically changes in all of your drawings, instead of hand drawing each change in multiple drawings.

  ### 22. A great modeling experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Revit?**

I have been using Revit everyday (5 days per week) since 4 years ago. I like how easy it is to build construction documents from a live model.

It is also pretty easy to integrate with other modeling and BIM softwares.

It is easy to implements as you can see the benefits right away. It has plenty of features and also there are add ins that can be installed in order to improve your experience depending on your needs.

Every year something new is added to the version, so I am always looking forward to next upgrade.

**What do you dislike about Revit?**

The only thing is that it is not the easiest to use at first. It could take a little while as you understand how it works.

**What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving the problems that used to show up in the past by collaborating with other disciplines in the same model (fixing problems in the model before they appear during the construction phase). Also, the automation of the plan views and elevations as you model is something that in the old days with 2D drawing left room for mistakes.

  ### 23. AN OPTIMAL TOOL FOR CARRYING OUT DESIGN AND WORK CONTROL

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Revit?**

The quality of revit i like the most is that if we create plan of something it automatically creates its section elevation and 3D views by itself

**What do you dislike about Revit?**

its very hard to provide details in revit as compared to CAD

**What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an Architectural Student i use Revit a lot to design my Design Prodects, its very time saving as compared to AutoCAD as it creates the section and the elevation by itself, also integrity of twinmotion makes the rendering process very smooth and easy

Revit is a BIM based architectural modeling software which allows to generate plan views, elevation drawings, cross sections, 3d views, 3d renderings of a architectural drawing and also extract quantities from the model.

**What do you dislike about Revit?**

Rendering enjine of Revit is not so powerful one. Therefore, if you need to do realistic renderings, you need to move on to an another software like lumion to make it happen.

**What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At the beginning as an Civil Engineer, I used to work with Autocad for architectural designs. But when preparing drawings, I had do all the plan views, elevations etc seperately but the Reevit solve that problem well.

  ### 47. Revit: A Comprehensive Review of the Leading BIM Software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civil Engineering | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Revit?**

here are several helpful aspects of Revit that make it a popular choice among architects, engineers and construction professionals. Here are some of the benefits of using Revit:

Building Information Modeling (BIM): Revit is software ( BIM ) that allows users to create detailed 3D models of buildings and structures. BIM provides a comprehensive digital representation of a building's design, construction and maintenance, which can improve collaboration, reduce errors and improve project outcomes.

Parametric modeling: Revit's parametric modeling capabilities allow users to create intelligent, dynamic models that can be easily updated as changes occur. This saves time and reduces errors in the design process.

Integration: Revit integrates with other software platforms such as AutoCAD and Navisworks, making it easy to collaborate and share information between different software programs.

Visualization: Revit's visualization tools allow users to create photorealistic renderings and animations of their designs, which help clients better understand the project and make informed decisions.

Automated documentation: Revit automatically generates detailed documentation, saving users time and effort in creating drawings, schedules and other documentation.

Overall, Revit's BIM, parametric modeling, integration, visualization and automated documentation features make it an extremely useful tool for architects, engineers and construction professionals.

**What do you dislike about Revit?**

Although Revit offers many helpful features, there are also some disadvantages to using the software. Here are a few possible disadvantages:

Steep learning curve: Revit is a complex software with many features and tools, so it can take some time for users to become familiar with the application. This can be challenging for new users or those switching from other software.

Performance issues: Revit can be slow and resource intensive, especially when working with large and complex models. This can lead to lag times and slow rendering speeds.

Limited customisation options: Although Revit offers many features out of the box, users have limited ability to customise the software to their specific needs. This can be frustrating for users who need more specialised tools or workflows.

Cost: Revit is commercial software and licences can be expensive. This can be a barrier to entry for smaller companies or individual users.

Collaboration challenges: Although Revit allows integration with other software, collaboration with users who do not have Revit can be difficult. This can limit the ability to collaborate with other professionals who may be using other software programmes.

Overall, while Revit offers many powerful tools and features, it may not be suitable for every user or every project, and users should carefully consider the potential drawbacks before investing in the software.

**What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coordination errors: In traditional design workflows, coordination errors between different trades and disciplines are common. Revit's BIM capabilities allow for improved coordination and communication between project stakeholders, reducing the risk of errors and resulting in more efficient project delivery.

Inefficient documentation: Creating detailed documentation manually can be time-consuming and prone to errors. Revit's automated documentation capabilities can save time and reduce the risk of errors, allowing designers to focus on more creative and high-level tasks.

Design changes: Changes to the design can be costly and time-consuming in traditional design workflows. Revit's parametric modeling capabilities enable designers to make changes to the model quickly and easily, saving time and reducing the risk of errors.

  ### 48. Full Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Revit?**

Design is an iterative process and Revit allows for a seamless project development concsious of this making it a powerful processing software to allow design refinement.

**What do you dislike about Revit?**

Lack of built in schedule or cost projector.

**What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Team integration and class detection are visible early on in the design.

  ### 49. Revit model viewing in Procore

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex J. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Revit?**

The field crew can view models in Procore as we update in coordination meetings. Measuring horizontal and vertical runs of conduit is extremely helpful. This is a benefit to us as most other companies are still using 2D drawings to coordinate.

**What do you dislike about Revit?**

The Revit model that is integrated into Procore is not viewable on iPad. Not all field personnel have a computer. Getting this to work on an iPad would be a game changer.

**What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Most of the time BIM modeling is done by office personnel. The files are then put into 2D coordinated drawings. Having the field crew be able to look at a model in three dimensions along with coordinated drawings is a huge time saver and serves well as back to information that the field is provided.

  ### 50. Revit 2021 review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** TIMOTHY STEPHEN T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Revit?**

Revit is beneficial For Bill of Quantities and MEPFs clash detection. It also provides a realistic 3D model for presentation. The main goal is to produce an accurate model to simulate the possible conflicts on the construction site and discuss solutions ahead of time.

**What do you dislike about Revit?**

For Revit 2021, the conduit tends to change slope now and then if unnoticed. And the Fitting Angle of the Pipes tends to adjust itself to non-commercial angles, often sorting Schedules/Quantities to have more items than needed. It would be nice to see the Slope % of pipes in Schedule.

**What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps prevent unnecessary delays and costs for the project since the problems are predetermined and already solved. It also provides a better presentation for consultants to discuss solutions for the project.
