Families are parametric. Stairs are fairly easy to model without complications. Rendering engine is really good. **What do you dislike about Revit?** Rendering engine is extremely slow. Modeling is very restrictive and counter intuitive. Importing/ exporting capabilities are very limited and in some cases simply impractical. Doesn't integrate well with 3rd party software, not even with some Autodesk software! IFC files are almost useless. Revit doesn't follow Architectural conversions. Constraints aren't visible. No backwards compatibility. You can't do something as simple as assign a phase to a wall opening. **Recommendations to others considering Revit:** Rather use Archicad **What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?** None ### 3. Terrible for schematics, graphics, its hard to see stories below or above because there is always something in the way, hard to navigate between stories go up go down, there are way way too many check boxes for absolutely everything. **What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?** Navigating, per my comments above ### 4. not suitable for production work **Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** jay r. | engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2019 **What do you like best about Revit?** un-installing this product. seriously, getting away from Revit and committing to use only Autocad relieved much anxiety **What do you dislike about Revit?** 1. a completely different product than autocad. You can't draw upon any experience gained over the last decades. 2. complexities of drawing simple mep systems is outrageous. what would literally take 5 minutes in CAD may take 4 hours. **Recommendations to others considering Revit:** don't spend this kind of money until you REALLY know that you want to do this and are prepared for the tremendous negative impact on production schedules and employee frustration levels **What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?** Revit created problems. ### 5.
