## ReviewStudio Reviews
  ### 1. Effortless Creative Collaboration with Intuitive Versioning

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eunice M. | Head of Brand Marketing, Asia, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2025

**What do you like best about ReviewStudio?**

ReviewStudio is a well-designed, straightforward platform for managing creative feedback and approvals. Its versioning system is intuitive, making it simple to compare different iterations and see what has changed over time. The use of review links and defined roles helps keep internal teams coordinated while maintaining appropriate workspace privacy. Additionally, the activity trail feature helps minimize unnecessary email exchanges.

**What do you dislike about ReviewStudio?**

Notifications tend to be overwhelming unless you take the time to adjust the settings. The mobile experience is more suited for viewing content rather than providing in-depth feedback. While the reporting features work as intended, they lack extensive customization options.

**What problems is ReviewStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall, ReviewStudio streamlines the approval process and enables teams to deliver their work with greater confidence. For workflows that depend on transparent feedback, quick revisions, and reliable tracking, it proves to be a strong choice.

**Official Response from Daniela Zappacosta:**

> We're happy to hear that ReviewStudio has been beneficial for streamlining the approval process and enabling quick revisions and reliable tracking for your team. We appreciate your feedback on notifications, mobile experience, and reporting features, and we will take these into account for future updates.

  ### 2. Reliable markup and review tool with great support, though UI could improve

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2024

**What do you like best about ReviewStudio?**

ReviewStudio has been an essential tool for our team, particularly when working on drawing reviews with both vendors and internal stakeholders. The platform shines when it comes to ease of sharing content and managing collaborative reviews. It provides a central space for design and construction documentation that helps us stay organized across tight timelines. The pricing is very reasonable for the functionality it offers, and the support team is responsive and proactive—especially when it comes to leading training sessions and hearing out our feedback.

**What do you dislike about ReviewStudio?**

While the core functionality is strong, the user interface can feel a bit unintuitive at times. Some menu systems require more navigation than necessary for simple tasks, and certain features are heavily geared toward very specific types of reviews, which don’t always align with the flexibility our team needs. We'd love to see improvements in the UI and broader customization options to make it more adaptable for different workflows.

**What problems is ReviewStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ReviewStudio gives our team a single, real-time workspace where everyone—internal designers, engineers, and external vendors—can review and annotate drawings together. Conversation threading keeps feedback organized, while the markup tools let us capture decisions directly on the document and export a PDF record for future reference. By replacing scattered email threads and one-off screen-shares, it streamlines revisions, shortens turnaround time, and does so at a budget-friendly price point.

  ### 3. Great for getting feedback and approvals on art but could use improvements.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Printing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2025

**What do you like best about ReviewStudio?**

I like that comments are marked in place within the documents and compiled as a list for easy tracking. The dashboard is great for seeing where proofs are in process.

**What do you dislike about ReviewStudio?**

When approvals are made by a client early in a job before all items have been added the system removes them from the list of people who receive updates. Adding them back after can be a small, but frustrating, added step.

**What problems is ReviewStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visibility of process from clients, project managers and other team members.

**Official Response from Daniela Zappacosta:**

> We appreciate your input! It's great to hear that ReviewStudio is helping with visibility and tracking of the proofing process.

When using our Workflows, we would suggest only starting the workflow once all files have been uploaded into the Review. This will keep all relevant stakeholders included throughout the workflow. We would be happy to schedule a support call with you to discuss further.

  ### 4. You can track all the changes.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abdur R. | Variable Data Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2025

**What do you like best about ReviewStudio?**

You can upload different version and keep track of them.

**What do you dislike about ReviewStudio?**

On larger file it takes long time to upload

**What problems is ReviewStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping track of all of changes that took place.

**Official Response from Daniela Zappacosta:**

> Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're pleased that ReviewStudio is helping you keep track of all the changes - It makes all the difference!

If you experience a long wait time when uploading large files, please don't hesitate to contact us and we will provide our support.

  ### 5. ReviewStudio really streamlined our approval process

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2024

**What do you like best about ReviewStudio?**

I use ReviewStudio to get 10+ members of our team on the same page as we create flyers that are widely utilized across our organization. We used to utilize PDFs in emails, but this has really streamlined our process and allowed multiple people to be in the software at the same time. It has drastically reduced the time it takes us to do this process.

**What do you dislike about ReviewStudio?**

I don't have many downsides. The team is constantly working to make updates, which is something I really appreciate. They take feedback well and actually implement it.

**What problems is ReviewStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem ReviewStudio is solving for us is time savings. We've gotten our process down by multiple hours per person, which is time that can be utilized in other areas of our business.

  ### 6. Overall an easy tool to aid in project collaboration!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah J. | Project/Traffic Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2024

**What do you like best about ReviewStudio?**

ReviewStudio allows our team to hold each other accountable for rounds of revisions, transparency on communication, and and easy way to get our clients involved with their project. We use the platform on a daily basis for internal and exteral reviews as well as using it as a way to deliver final files to clients. Overall our external users find the tools super useful when they take the time to actually utilize them.

**What do you dislike about ReviewStudio?**

Overall I find myself wishing for more tools rather than changes to the existing ones. I would love to be able to have an approval choice of "default to [user]" or something similar to indicate someone else's comments are the last word. Or an "Obstain" option for those who don't have an opinion.
I would also like to forward comments that were not addressed on previous drafts.
And lastly an expansion of the workflow tools would be great. We have yet to incorporate workflows due to some of the nitty gritty details that would make it work for our office.

**What problems is ReviewStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Version control and consolidation of edits. Using ReviewStudio allows for us to get all of the stakeholders looking at the same document. It also gives us visibility on whether a review has been opened or looked at so we aren't left wondering what the status is.

**Official Response from Daniela Zappacosta:**

> We're pleased to hear that ReviewStudio has been an integral tool to your organization, both in it's internal and external use!

We appreciate your suggestions for additional approval options, forwarding comments from prior versions, and an expansion of the workflow tools. If you would like to expand on these, please send through further insight into what you'd like to see for each to support@reviewstudio.com. We'll take them into account for a future release.

  ### 7. ReviewStudio review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris B. | Prepress Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2024

**What do you like best about ReviewStudio?**

Review Studio is easy to use in both submitting files for review and for others to markup issues with the files. Workflows are easy to setup for various employees to review only certain file based on their particular roles and responsibilities.

**What do you dislike about ReviewStudio?**

Files preview at a small size on screen and need to be zoomed in to read type and analyze graphics. This has to be done incependently for each page unfrtunately and slows the process down. The ability to turn off the color channels of a PDF file independantly would be a big plus for those in the print industry.

**What problems is ReviewStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to not have to route printed pages for review which saves us time and money. It's easy to track the progress of exactly who has looked at what and who hasn't. It keeps old markups intact to compare to new uploads to verify all corrections have been made.

  ### 8. Love how simple it is to use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica L. | Community Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2024

**What do you like best about ReviewStudio?**

I like that you're able to tag people and it will notify them and also be able to add feedback/edits right there and then. I use it a lot and I like that for each project, no matter how many revisions were uploaded, it was still the same URL.

**What do you dislike about ReviewStudio?**

Nothing at this time. So far ReviewStudio is simple to use and access.

**What problems is ReviewStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping our cllient access the projects and making edits/feedbacks without the constant back and forth through email communication. I also do enjoy that each project has it's own URL no matter how many edits were made.

**Official Response from Daniela Zappacosta:**

> We're happy to hear that ReviewStudio is meeting your needs and making project collaboration easier for you and your clients. Thank you for your support!

  ### 9. Architectural rendering company - Have been using ReviewStudio for 4 years.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2024

**What do you like best about ReviewStudio?**

ReviewStudio is a great tool to collaborate with not just your team members but also stakeholders. Being a Canadian based company really appealed to me when I chose the software. Our team reviewed 6 different online review platforms and found ReviewStudio to be the most user-friendly. Being able to compare drafts side-by-side is one of the tools we use often as sometimes subtle changes are hard to notice by clients.

**What do you dislike about ReviewStudio?**

One thing I dislike is that I cannot hide all the comments. Only new/completed tasks are filterable and sometimes I want to review the image whtout all the feedback clutter. I'd have to wait w while before the original comments timeout and then I can filter by "new comments"

**What problems is ReviewStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps keep all the stakeholders informed and accountable to the requests during the project.

**Official Response from Joey Tanny:**

> 4 Years! Happy to have you on board!

Have you seen the Collapse and Cycle? It hides all comments and allows you to go through them one at a time.

https://www.reviewstudio.com/blog/5-features-i-use-in-reviewstudio-that-youll-want-to-add-to-your-workflows/#:~:text=Comment%20Collapsing%20and%20Cycling

If that doesn't address what you are looking to do - please reach out to us at support and we'll find the right solution.

  ### 10. Keeping track of internal and external edits on projects is much easier now.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2024

**What do you like best about ReviewStudio?**

We can post all versions of a project to one place, document our own internal review edits along with our client's edits and have all readily available to cross-reference at any moment along the way. Plus, we can keep our internal edits private so clients don't have to see those.

**What do you dislike about ReviewStudio?**

It is somewhat easy to post jobs to the wrong spot. Some tools aren't very intuitive and require us to provide instruction to our clients.

**What problems is ReviewStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rather than reviewing projects in silos, we can now collaborate and see comments from others and respond to them. This helps production to move forward with more complete feedback. Our clients have the same benefit in that they can see each other's comments, answer questions and make sure direction is clear to us.

**Official Response from Joey Tanny:**

> Internal-external privacy is a must for anyone working with outside clients/teams. Glad you are benefitting from it!

If you'd like to reach out to us, I'd love to explore the issues you are running in to - and how we can make the tools even more intuitive.

  ### 11. Our clients like ReviewStudio and so do we.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2024

**What do you like best about ReviewStudio?**

Our clients find ReviewStudio to be very easy to use and intuitive. On the other side, I and our team, find it very simple and easy to use. ReviewStudio has a lot of features that we do not currently use as they are not relevant to our needs. We love the ability to lock reviews so that they are still visible however no new comments can be left.

**What do you dislike about ReviewStudio?**

Sometimes images do not upload as expected. No way to just archive reviews. Exporting review comments creates a difficult to read excel spreadsheet. Attaching an image to a comment is not intuitive (you have to leave a comment first).

**What problems is ReviewStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ReviewStudio allows us to send images and videos to our clients for review. We are also able to use it internally to collaborate.

  ### 12. Very simple and does exactly what it's supposed to do.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mado G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2024

**What do you like best about ReviewStudio?**

Love the way multiple reviews can be in one project. Or multiple files in one review. Gives great flexibility.

**What do you dislike about ReviewStudio?**

The timeline can easily accidentally make the loop feature when scrubbing, like the feature but way too accident prone. Would be nice for more marking options, like making ovals instead of circles or even text based on the image, for the niche occasion.

**What problems is ReviewStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having one place for all reviews instead of a million emails.

**Official Response from Joey Tanny:**

> Great to have you on board.

Re: circles, you can drag the shape to make an oval. Text review at the moment is reserved for documents (whether PDF, PPT, DOC or otherwise) as we can extract the text layer on import. We can take a look.

Email support at any time with your feedback or requests!

  ### 13. The best platform for routing agency work

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2024

**What do you like best about ReviewStudio?**

ReviewStudio is an excellent platform for creative agencies to track versions and feedback on creative routes. It's easy for PMs to manage, and the internal/external permissions features are perfect for controlling the client's view of active projects.

**What do you dislike about ReviewStudio?**

Communication about planned platform updates and unexpected outages or bugs needs to be improved. UX functionality could be improved - eg "add all users" in one click, managing and assigning comments/action items, a better admin dashboard.

**What problems is ReviewStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ReviewStudio manages endless versions of creative work, approvals and centralizes internal and external feedback.

  ### 14. Great Software with one flaw

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ankur P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2024

**What do you like best about ReviewStudio?**

It does everything our Marketing department needs for approving artwork.

**What do you dislike about ReviewStudio?**

When something is rejected during a workflow, it does not kickoff an alternate workflow for rejections, the process just stops at that point and there is not way of configuring an alternate workflow.

**What problems is ReviewStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use to have a excel sheet for approvals of artwork and it was getting very confusing on who had approved there part. This software elevated all of that as memebers of the team recieved an email everytime it was there turn to approve.

**Official Response from Joey Tanny:**

> Hi Ankur - thanks for that feedback.
I will look at getting that feature into our roadmap.

  ### 15. Productive

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2024

**What do you like best about ReviewStudio?**

The most helpful function of Review Studio is the fact that you can upload multiple versions and see the old comments. As designers,  we sometimes need the old feedback as well.

**What do you dislike about ReviewStudio?**

It's a bit complicated when you just start with the programme; it takes a while to get used to.

**What problems is ReviewStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ReviewStudio helps me, as a designer, get easier approval for my design and be able to share it with my co-workers and clients without sending an email all the time.

  ### 16. It is simple and straight foward to use, comments are kept within the same platform.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2022

**What do you like best about ReviewStudio?**

I like that it adds on as a link for the mocks and clients are able to download the videos if necessary.

**What do you dislike about ReviewStudio?**

There is no open link - you need to key in the guest's email and we would like to have some reporting metrics included / number of revisions registered etc.

**What problems is ReviewStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The latest update helped with tracking the individual mock - to see if there are comments within and time stamps for the videos.

  ### 17. Gets the job done

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2021

**What do you like best about ReviewStudio?**

Quick reviewing of various kinds of visual content. The canvas is what makes this tool useful. It's great for still images, not animations as video is not supported.

**What do you dislike about ReviewStudio?**

The overall dashboard system is not so great. In fact it's kind of clunky and takes quite a bit of time for you to use it effectively. It's a shame since otherwise the basic tools work great.

**Recommendations to others considering ReviewStudio:**

Try it out, you'll see if you like it or not.

**What problems is ReviewStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We solve image commenting and revisions with ReviewStudio. It's used for all kinds of visual markups and annotations as well. It speeds up this part of our work nicely.

  ### 18. Affordable Review and Approve Tool for Creative Operations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2021

**What do you like best about ReviewStudio?**

I like that Review Studio is a full feature review and approval tool that is also affordable for a growing business

**What do you dislike about ReviewStudio?**

Review Studio is a platform in continuos development and there are bugs, but their team is very responsive

**What problems is ReviewStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fast review and approvals with version tracking, commenting and history

  ### 19. Great for what we need

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2021

**What do you like best about ReviewStudio?**

What I like the best so far are the different text tools.

**What do you dislike about ReviewStudio?**

I dislike having to use the hand tool to move around the page.

**What problems is ReviewStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm solving a more efficient internal review process.

  ### 20. Review Studio by Asymetrie

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2020

**What do you like best about ReviewStudio?**

Possibility to have many projects.

Good reactivity for file management.

The link remains the same and is quite easy to share.

**What do you dislike about ReviewStudio?**

Images update system better than older versions, but could be faster again and more comfortable by drag and dropping individual files directly in the main page of the concerned review.

That would be great to be able to "hide" an image in a review, in order to keep information for me, and the client wouldn't be able to see it anymore.

There might be some more tools. Also switching between tools is sometimes a bit non reactive (on windows/firefox)

Zoom system sometimes a bit weird.

Support for pen tablet would be so nice !

When I share the link, clients often think that the second field they have to fill is a password, I have frequent returns from them asking for the password.

**What problems is ReviewStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gathering client comments, and giving the possibility to teamates to see all comments.

Better than annoted pdf where it's hard to read some handwriting.

**Official Response from Joey Tanny:**

> Hi Asymetrie team! A big thanks for being a customer of ours all these years.

- The separation between client and internal feedback should be live shortly. We are testing it in beta.
- The zoom system is in the process of being updated, you should see a marked improvement.
- We are looking at supporting tablet pens.
- Guest users only require a password if you set "guest password" as on. Otherwise they won't require a password.

  ### 21. Discuss the visual information remotely quickly

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2019

**What do you like best about ReviewStudio?**

ReviewStudio is a sophisticated tool, yet intuitive and easy to use by anyone on all platforms and screens. It is easy to upload and share content with stakeholders, simple to add comments to images and videos, and we also refine comments with attachments, links, and additional comments. Excellent customer service, good functionality for the client, optimized proof loading, incredible file search/tagging system, thumbnails and text for the file list, and quick notifications.

**What do you dislike about ReviewStudio?**

I can't think of any. The software is very robust and the Review Studio team has fantastic support.

**Recommendations to others considering ReviewStudio:**

This tool is quite recommended as it does a good job of consolidating the contributions of a group. Quite easy to use. We have to join hands with some of our users.

**What problems is ReviewStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use ReviewStudio to send graphic projects to multiple stakeholders and get their feedback. This works very well for us and allows us to get feedback in one place. Think of it as getting reviews in a Google Docs document but for design, print, and video.

  ### 22. Pros and Cons

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2019

**What do you like best about ReviewStudio?**

The simplicity in posting a comment is one of the best features of this software. I work with multiple teams, technical and non-tecnhical, and the simplicity of the review feature helps all of us be on the same page. This saves a lot of training cost and time.

**What do you dislike about ReviewStudio?**

We as an organisation have always been in awe with the software. Something which we dislike is that review comments lack a bit of chronology if there are multiple reviews on a single file. The numbering, in that case, happens on the basis of who reviewed the file first. But it disturbs the flow for a person who needs to implement those changes.

**Recommendations to others considering ReviewStudio:**

Try it out! It can be very helpful, but I would recommend that you try it first because it depends on the person - I think it's very helpful for my work at school especially working at the student-led cafe.

**What problems is ReviewStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are several benefits - including the review features which saves us time, but many of the problems included lack of connectivity

  ### 23. A useful coding software

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2019

**What do you like best about ReviewStudio?**

I love it that this software uses human language for coding. It makes it a lot more accessible. Much easier to use than some other softwares.

**What do you dislike about ReviewStudio?**

I think there's still some work to be done with this software. For example, I was working with a data set that had missing data, and the software just would not recognize my commands. In SPSS, I can easily exclude those missing data.

**What problems is ReviewStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data analysis and visualization

  ### 24. production designing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2019

**What do you like best about ReviewStudio?**

had a fantastic experienced with my collugues, its features, tools and desinging is simply autestic

**What do you dislike about ReviewStudio?**

the mark up tool , file sharing sometimes makes unhappy with this software . these things sholud be upgraded and more enhancely be made better for market exploration

**Recommendations to others considering ReviewStudio:**

the mark up tool must be upgraded

**What problems is ReviewStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

greatly emphasized by its task mangement

  ### 25. Solid Online Review Software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rik M. | owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2018

**What do you like best about ReviewStudio?**

With tech minded clients, they pick up Review Studio right away. Lots of tools for marking up pdf files. Once you understand the GUI, it's easy to leave reviews. I also like the approve button. It fits with insurance requirements for requiring clients to approve work.

**What do you dislike about ReviewStudio?**

I'd like greater support for different file types. I'd also like to see the review area redesigned. The tools are in too many places. Clients miss them.

**Recommendations to others considering ReviewStudio:**

If you need an online review tool for your workflow, ReviewStudio is the right product. They are adding more project management tools. You may be able to drop your current PM and do everything in ReviewStudio.

**What problems is ReviewStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?**
