**What do you like best about RevCycle Engine?**

RevCycle Engine has truly changed the way I worked because of its quality and ease of use. It's a phenomenal system. I appreciate being able to customize the rules and collaborate with front end users to make messages understandable and centered around how they work. The system adapts to changing denial trends, and the collaboration with Aptarro ensures quick updates with autofix rules. The people at Aptarro have provided an almost white glove experience, which has been impressive. Setting up RevCycle Engine for new clients has been a wonderful experience thanks to the implementation support from Aptarro.

**What do you dislike about RevCycle Engine?**

An eligibility check function but I know that will come in the future. But for now I'm looking forward to 5.0 upgrade and the proposed new features Aptarro showed in the demonstration.

RevCycle Engine helps cut initial denials in half by cleaning up mistakes and providing missing information before claims submission, ensuring upfront payments and reducing denials.

**What do you like best about RevCycle Engine?**

We are very pleased with leadership at RCE, they are always willing to assist and help and talk through our requests. RCE seems to be willing to listen to customers' needs/wants. A big topic right now is automation, and I feel like RCE is headed in that direction, I look forward to seeing what their ROADMAP contains.

**What do you dislike about RevCycle Engine?**

We struggled with articles for a long time and that seems to be heading in the right direction with less issues now, RCE has made it a point to review articles on a consistent basis. 
A big pain point is not being able to see what subrules are used in other rules, as we have hundreds of both. We would also REALLY like the ability to debug exclusions and subrules like you can with regular rules.
RCE really tries to work directly with their customers to build a product that fits individual needs.

**What problems is RevCycle Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reducing denials with the ability to write complex rules. Based on our last roundtable it seems RCE is working towards denial prevention which is somthing we struggle with daily.

**What do you like best about RevCycle Engine?**

Regardless of the charge source, we are able to send a uniform message of a charge to our billing system. 
Truly promised and met a implementation timeframe. Staff is eager to leverage technology to help your business get the maximum utility out of the product.

**What do you dislike about RevCycle Engine?**

The application is exceedingly easy to write in. However, 'tags' are a manual process where all rule writers have a different style. Therefore, I wish the rules’ condition logic were exportable and easy to read in a  way where I can identify potential duplicate rules or conflicting logic.

**What problems is RevCycle Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Charge scrubbing has helped reduce lag days and lower the number of denials.

**What do you like best about RevCycle Engine?**

I absolutely love this program—it has integrated seamlessly with NextGen. It has been incredibly helpful in lowering our denial rate by reducing coding errors and decreasing the number of encounters we need to review manually each day. The coding edits are comprehensive and user-friendly, and we truly value the option to create customizable edits that address our specific needs based on denials and trends. This feature saves us a significant amount of time with very little effort, which allows our staff to concentrate on other important tasks. The support team is also excellent, always responding quickly to our tickets. I highly recommend this program to anyone aiming to streamline their coding and billing process.

**What do you dislike about RevCycle Engine?**

I have no complaints, but I would appreciate it if future updates could add reporting features that allow individual users to track their daily progress, such as the number of edits or encounters they have worked on.

This program has been incredibly helpful in our high-volume practice by ensuring coding errors are caught before claims are sent to payers, which significantly reduces the number of denials we receive. When a denial does occur, our first thought is how we can create a custom rule in the engine to prevent it from happening again—and the program makes that process quick and easy. The result is fewer denials, less manual work, and faster turnaround for payments, which has been a huge benefit to our team and workflow.

**What do you like best about RevCycle Engine?**

The stability it provides is amazing. We have an average of 1 million cases a year, across 200 billing areas in over 20 states. We have had this program with Centricity in 2017, and again when we acquired our aIDX billing platform. 

RCx ensures that no matter where we have business, we have rules to keep our charges in line with payer requirements and coding guidelines. They promised a 45 day implementation and delivered. Their programming team takes my requests and instead of saying 'no it doesn't do that', they say 'hmmm, how CAN we make that work?'. It is easy to use, and easy to integrate into and out of.

**What do you dislike about RevCycle Engine?**

I wish there were more 'standard' fields that supported anesthesia. Everything we have is custom.

**What problems is RevCycle Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have charge files from a capture system file into RCx. Each file is a different 'flavor' with various billing elements missing, had, incorrect, etc. RCx takes all those source files, and provides a steam-lined, user friendly interface, that allows our coding team to cleanly enter charges and scrub them for mistakes. They can then flow correctly into our billing system.

We do not utilize certified coders at our company. Having RCE has been like adding an entire department to support our existing team. Best part - this department is always fully staffed and never take a sick day!

**What do you dislike about RevCycle Engine?**

It would be nice to have some more support documentation. Otherwise everything has been great.

**What problems is RevCycle Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

RCE is helping us reduce denials and rejections caused by coding errors. It catches the issues prior to adjudication so we don't have to wait to fix a problem, we can be much more proactive in our work. It is also providing a wealth of information that has helped inspire PI projects and has supported more focused training. It feels like we stopped throwing darts at the wall to see where our shortcomings are, we have a system that drills it down very precisely.

**What do you like best about RevCycle Engine?**

From implementation to everyday usage, we have experienced exceptional results in the performance of the RCxRules (Aptarro) rules engine and customer support.  The automation of this revenue cycle engine has contributed to increased efficiency throughout our billing process.  We were able to streamline our front-end processes and reduce rejections and denials. This rules engine is a critical part of our team's daily workflows and staff have commented on how easy it was to learn and integrate into their processes.  In addition, we were able to reallocate responsibilities for several full-time positions and improve overall team morale.

**What do you dislike about RevCycle Engine?**

There are a few limitations in the reporting including the inability to easily add the service location to the reports.

**What problems is RevCycle Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to review our rejections and denials and write front-end rules to avoid them.  We have the flexibility to write demographic rules in addition to CPT and ICD-10 coding rules.   If necessary, we are able to write temporary hold rules on the fly while we solve a charge entry or provider issue.

**What do you like best about RevCycle Engine?**

It is extremely easy to use. The customization that can be done with rule writing, sort options, view options is incredible. Any time I have an issue and open a support ticket it is handled right away, I never have to wait longer than a few hours for an answer. My staff use this on a daily basis and it is their primary work application when working.

**What do you dislike about RevCycle Engine?**

The only down side is the reporting capability and how productivity is tracked. It is not tracked by the number of encounters worked only by number of edits worked. This makes productivity tracking a very long, manual and tedious project.

Ensuring clean correct coding for claim submission and helps capture HCC codes.

**What do you like best about RevCycle Engine?**

We like the automation of the program that helps us correct all of the tedious errors that are submitted by the clinics or specific changes that are needed for specific clinics or insurance. This has been a huge help when we process charges.

**What do you dislike about RevCycle Engine?**

I don't like that we have to update the code sets. If this could be more of an automation that would be a small victory, instead of us having to check ever quarter to see if they need to be updated.

The rules need to be very specific and cannot be vague or have a range, specifically the diagnoses. If we wanted something to be combined in ophthalmology for both eyes, we would need to have a rule specific to each types of diagnoses.

They are adding information that is required for the claims to be correct and precise so that we have clean claims going out. More clean claims are going out and faster revenue coming in.

**What do you like best about RevCycle Engine?**

As someone new to both the company and to using RevCycle Engine, I’ve found the platform to be very intuitive and easy to adopt. The dashboards provide a clear view of key revenue cycle metrics, which makes it simple to identify trends and opportunities for improvement without having to dig through multiple reports. I especially appreciate how organized the workflows are—claims, denials, and payments are all tracked in one place, reducing manual effort and helping me get up to speed quickly. Even as a new user, I feel confident navigating the system and leveraging it to support decision-making.

**What do you dislike about RevCycle Engine?**

Since I am still fairly new to the system, my main challenge has been the learning curve in understanding all of the available features and how they integrate with our existing workflows. Some of the reporting options could be a little more customizable, and at times it takes extra clicks to drill down into the details I need. While these are not major issues, they can slow down productivity until you are more familiar with the system.

RevCycle Engine is helping streamline visibility into the revenue cycle by centralizing data and providing real-time insight into claims, denials, and collections. **What do you like best about RevCycle Engine?**

It's very easy to work in RevCycle Engine, corrections are simple and the most common fields are on one page. The ease of creating rules that work automatically has meant my staff is able to review and correct coding more efficiently than other revenue product we've had in the past. Not only does it save the team time but since we are experiencing unprecedented growth, we have been able to add providers without adding additional staff. It is a tremendous value for us. 

The support process and team are the best I've ever worked with. The implementation was hectic because we are a large physician group, but the training team was amazing and provided support well past our go-live.

**What do you dislike about RevCycle Engine?**

There is not much to dislike, but the reporting is not as helpful or straight forward as we would like. This is a feature that is coming soon hopefully.

The product is extremely easy to use. The ability to write your own rules as fantastic.

I would like to be able to sort differently. We have multiple facilities in multiple states and I work by facility a lot and I have to sort over and over again. I would also love to see an eligibility tool built within.

Wwe have several rules that are on auto fix. It allows us to not have to look at every encounter that flows through.

Very smooth implementation.  Our support was outstanding at implementation and on an ongoing basis.  The system has been easy to configure and manage and has dramatically helped reduce denials.

The reporting on the system could be stronger to help manage the work queues and measure performance.

It has provided a tool to edit charges and claims for a great deal of the issues that contribute to claims and charge denials and the rework involved.  Further, it has the ability to automatically fix certain errors where appropriate.

we need to get upgraded as the reporting system  in 4.8  is not user friendly  and to get the  and not able to run reports with ease you have to work to get what you need

RevCycle Engine is user friendly and easy to build custom rules in.  Customer Support offers amazing results in a timely manner.

**What do you dislike about RevCycle Engine?**

Occasionally we experience slowness within the application.  If this happens, the Support Team is always able to quickly collaborate to remedy the root issues.

**What problems is RevCycle Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

RevCycle Engine allows us to solve for payer specific guidelines before claims are generated out of the billing system.  Solving for payer specific guidelines upstream from our billing system makes things much more efficient!

**What do you like best about RevCycle Engine?**

What I like about Aptarro's RevCycle Engine is the integration to our EMR system and the ability to customize rules that are tailored to our needs. We also have the HCCs added in the RevCycle Engine, and this has helped in improving our ICD coding and in turn, improved RAF scores. The Aptarro RevCycle Engine is such an easy product to use, and the implementation process was smooth and quick. We use the RevCycle Engine daily to process our encounters before crossing them over for processing. Aptarro's RevCycle Engine has helped identify many errors humans may have missed. I, as a supervisor, have used the RevCycle Engine not just to improve our overall cleanliness of claims but as an educational tool and train both physicians and billing staff on trends the RevCycle Engine has flagged for correction.

**What do you dislike about RevCycle Engine?**

There were two main issues we encountered with Aptarro's RevCycle Engine. The first issue was there were times when the link was not available and we could not work claims, since our EMR would not allow us to cross over claims for processing until released by the RevCycle Engine. The second issue was claims being held in the RevCycle Engine after the encounter had been worked and approved by the biller. Thankfully, customer service was always there to assist and were quick to resolve our issues quickly. There were one-offs where it took time to do research and resolve the issue, but the majority of the time, the issues were resolved within 30 minutes.

The partnering with other companies to improve overall function and staying up to date with technology is helping us stay ahead of the ongoing healthcare changes.

What I dislike the most about this course is you can't get the daily report the next day. It's on a two or three delayed.

Correcting encounters pre -billing has been a huge benefit. Educating coders on trends we see for incorrect manual coding is big plus.

I no longer need to review every single encounter, only the ones that are stopped for review by the rules set up by Recycle Engine and the custom rules they created for our practice.

That we can't search for specific procedure codes in the encounters that are stopped by rule breaks.
