**What do you like best about Rev?**

I prefer to use my iPhone's VoiceMemos app and Rev works with it seamlessly, allowing me to hit '3 dots' on a recording, then send it Rev in just a few seconds. The Rev environment is what I like to use on my laptop... I can quickly go to a transcript and give names to voices, correct little things, download transcriptions, etc.

**What do you dislike about Rev?**

No major dislikes. If I had to list something here, I would say that I lost a few recordings when recording directly on the Rev app in my iPhone... it happened after the recording was finished. Not sure what I hit, but I did something wrong and lost the recording. I'm assuming it was user error, as everything else I've experienced with Rev has been fantastic. But yeah, that prompted me to just record in my iPhone's Voice Memos app and then do the Rev, transfer... a workflow I still use today and am quite happy with.

**What problems is Rev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I feel like I was using Rev pretty early on. I brought it to my company so many of us can share the same account on a larger minutes/month plan. I needed to reach out to Customer Support to iron out a few things for the multi-user way we use it, and Rev was helped us with every question and adjustment we needed.

I like Rev's accurate and speedy transcription of audio into clear and readable text, which makes content creation and editing much easier and saves me a lot of time. The initial setup of Rev was very simple and quick, allowing me to start uploading files and getting transcripts almost immediately without any complicated steps. I would recommend Rev because it is accurate, fast, and very helpful for converting audio to text efficiently.

Sometimes Rev can be a bit costly especially for frequent use. It would also be better if it handled accents and background noise even more accurately in all cost.

I love that the audio is synced with the video, allowing ease of access to the video clips by selecting a word or sentence within the transcript.

I wish there were an easier way to transcribe multiple audio tracks from one video. When multiple students are talking in pairs, it is difficult to split the transcript to allow me to follow one group, then the other.

Rev is greatly decreasing the time it takes to transcribe video data. By using Rev AI, I have a great starting point for my transcription and only have to go in and fix a few errors when voice is hard to capture or multiple people are talking at once.

**What do you like best about Rev?**

I most like about Rev is the AI assistant function where I can ask it questions about a transcription, and it can summarize things for me. I also like that it pulls out the punchiest quotes for me that I can drop straight into an article. It's really helpful because it does what used to take hours in the past to transcribe interviews by hand. The initial setup was really easy, and it has a very easy interface to use. I appreciate how clear it is to upload something and then it just goes ahead and transcribes something for you.

**What do you dislike about Rev?**

I think sometimes it doesn't pick up regional British accents as well. So it will be very good with, like, a London and Southeast British accent, but when I've been talking to people from Scotland or the Northeast, it struggles a bit more to understand what they're saying.

I really like using Rev for transcribing my interviews. It's a great service because it quickly transcribes everything for me instantly, which solves a big time problem since doing it myself would take hours. It's dependable, and I know the quality of work is solid, providing a strong, accurate, and complete copy that matches what the person said. Also, it's easy to upload from my computer or phone and I get a readable transcript right away. I switched to Rev from another product because it's cheaper, more intuitive, quicker, more accurate, and easier to use. The functionality is very easy to figure out with barely any learning curve. Overall, I find the scenes work really well, making it a very intuitive service that I had no problems with. I learned it really quickly and think the initial setup was super easy.

**What do you like best about Rev?**

I use Rev for transcriptions of videos and conferences. We have a lot of audio and video content that is often hours-long, and having a person transcribe or take notes on it would take days. Rev does it for us in minutes. The best part about it is the summary it provides for every file. I do a lot of social media posting based on videos and panels, and watching/reading the transcript for a whole panel for a post can be taxing. Rev just summarizes all the important points for me so I can skim and draft a post. It can pick up accents seamlessly for the most part, which is really helpful because we work in tourism, so a lot of the videos feature people with accents. This feature makes my job easier, so I don't have to parse out what is said. The initial setup of Rev was really easy.

The options for organization of the files could be improved, and the search function could be better too.

What I like best about Rev is how simple and predictable it is to use. You upload a file, pick the service you need, and you know exactly what it’s going to cost and roughly when you’ll get it back. The turnaround times are usually fast, and the transcripts are clean enough that you don’t spend forever fixing them afterward. It saves a lot of time compared to doing it yourself or chasing freelancers.

Rev is a transcripting platform that does two types of transcriptions, which are mainly human based and AI based. I mostly prefer using rev for converting my video files into text based contents so that it can be documented easily and can also be shared with our teams in a one go.

I use this platform on a day to day basis and I have found that this software mostly lags when the accent of the video is little different or if the audio quality is not clear in those scenarios the productivity of rev decreases along with its overall accuracy rate.

**What do you like best about Rev?**

Reve is one of the simplest platform that we use for transcription of our audio and video files we just upload the raw file in this platform and pay the amount according to the length of the file and then just in few hours it gives the complete transcription with accuracy level of more than 98%. This process saves us a lot of time.

Even after paying for its premium amount for the transcription I have found that there are background noises in the audio file and this is something which rev should work on and improve it because it hamper the user's experience alot.

All the videos that we shoot of car detailing process for explaining our audience and we post these videos on YouTube. As rev is a AI based transcription tool and the it only struggles when there is lot of background noise in the audio or when the audio is not clear at all otherwise rev works like a human transcription and it is accurate more than 90% according to my experience.

There are no real downsides to using Rev, but I have had some difficulty when I need to renew my plan. An effective improvement to this issue could be to auto send reminders when available audio minute maximums are close to being exhausted.

**What do you like best about Rev?**

Rev offers both AI and human created options. It's really quick to choose either and the transcripts are offered in multiple formats. The monthly membership has made it really easy for me to take podcast episodes of mine or client calls and generate a transcript, caption, and summary in no time. It's really fast and easy to upload the video or audio file and then receive results in under 15mins. I probably use it 3+ times a week. I haven't really had a need for customer support because it's a very easy platform to use.

**What do you dislike about Rev?**

It has a hard time picking up on accents sometimes so will say there are 4 or more speakers when there are only 2. Or sometimes it will say there is more than one speaker when there is only one.

I need to take my videos, podcasts, and meetings and get them transcribed quickly and also generate captions for the videos. I also need the time stamps and speaker names for certain videos so that's really helpful. Rev also provides a helpful summary I can polish for emails and podcast notes.

**What do you like best about Rev?**

Ease of use, and the alternative summaries I can have it run from my transcript.  It helps me recall the conversation, the action that I need to take or directives I need to give to others, it can provide me with key points I need to use on direct examination of witnesses and cross examination of witnesses.  it also allows me to get assistants up to speed on something I've covered with a client. I love having it on calls because it eliminates my taking notes and allows me to focus on the client and their issues.  I also like the ability to go back and run it through a tone or conversation analysis so I can see where I can improve on empathy, etc...

**What do you dislike about Rev?**

I use it over and over again and it isn't correctly recognizing the spelling of my name or of my law firm. I spell my name out when I am beginning a transcript and it still misspells it throughout the transcript.  There should be something where I can tell it my name and law firm/business name and then it gets it right when it is spelling it in any transcript I do thereafter. I would like to have some attorney/legal/law office  templates to run it through where I could have it review the transcript and prepare some Witness direct exam or Cross exam questions, maybe tell me where to offer up some evidence that the client has discussed providing me. Those would be super awesome.

It saves me hours trying to recall all of the details of a specific conversation, and the items that I'll need to address in a legal case which might be months down the road from the conversation.  The assistance it provides me in summarizing and providing me with key points and all of the other options it currently has.

Rev has quite simple and easy user interface and we use this software to auto generate correct subtitles for our video and audio files which we mostly upload on a daily basis. This tool gives our audience clarity of understanding on all of our videos during long training sessions

Some of our team members belong from different parts of the country and they also have different ascents. For those employees this software sometime convert the videos and audios into incorrect subtitles but the percentage of  of accuracy has never gone below 80% till now.

I really like how easy Rev is to use and the speed at which it's able to transcribe things. It takes minutes to do what would take me hours, if not days. I also really like the added AI summaries, which are helpful when I'm just trying to review something quickly. Another thing I like is how customizable Rev is for the transcripts, allowing them to be in a format that anyone on any system can use. The initial setup was very easy, especially being able to sign in with Google, which makes it super easy for me.

I mostly use this platform for transcription of different type of videos that we make for our business and these videos are descriptive and detailed so we also need to add subtitles to them and this platform is quite accurate in terms of generating subtitles and translation for videos or audio files.

The main challenge that I face while using rev is that when our videos are in high definition than it becomes very difficult for us to render them in this software and that time uploading speed also slows down and starts lagging. So, for generating accurate subtitles we have to make sure that the video format should be around between 360 to 1080p.

I like that Rev saves me a lot of time and aggravation when creating meeting notes. It helps me by transcribing my meetings properly, so I'm not doing all of that typing. The transcriptions really help me turn transcripts into meeting notes and submit accurate information. It helps me avoid re-listening to recordings to get the correct information and nuances.

I don't like that Rev doesn't understand dialects well. If someone has some type of accent, it doesn't pick up on words appropriately. So I have to listen to the recording and correct the transcription Rev created.

Rev is one of the smoothest transcription platform available in the market. This software completely works online and has accuracy of more than 95%. We generally use it to convert our video and audio files into text based content and also add subtitle to them when needed.

Automatic transcription feature of this tool is not that accurate mainly when the sound quality is not that clear and in those cases the manual editing is required while adding subtitles to the video files and it also needs 5g internet connection to function smoothly.

The automated transcriptions are incredibly accurate for most things. It's incredibly quick even for long video files. I've never needed to use Customer Support because there has never been an issue. I use Rev probably 3 or 4 times a week for business. I use it to transcribe master classes, meetings, client calls and courses as well as use the SRT files for captions were needed and use the AI features to help create module description and summaries. It's easy to use and intuitive to implement.

I tend to use the AI transcript service. First, it is really affordable. Second, it takes a lot of the labor out of the free kind of transcriptions that are running in parallel to whatever you're viewing online. Third, the AI transcripts are fast to arrive. I don't tend to need absolutely pristine transcripts--95% accuracy is my standard and Rev always exceeds that. Fourth, the summary function is a nice add on (it's free, though I wish it would download with the Word transcript). If you need a polished version, select the human review version. I did that once and it was worth it. Delivered before the deadline it set for itself.  Fifth, the desktop interface (including invoices) is super handy. I find myself using Rev more and more.

Not much to dislike. I like the AI summary function--and I realise it may still be beta--but I wish it would download with the transcript when I save it as a Word document.

I first started using Rev in 2019 when I was a podcast producer for a B2B CRM company. We would record our podcasts via Zoom, render the audio file, then upload the file through Rev to generate a transcript. From there, we turned that transcript into a blog that was optimized with meta data, canonical URLs, everything possible to help our podcast episodes see the most traffic and time on site. It also helped us stay ADA compliant for the hearing impaired who could still following along with the content of the podcast. I still employ that particular use case till this day, but also, I use it to transcribe videos and webinars and turn the transcriptions into thought leadership pieces, short-form content, video descriptions, teaser copy, etc. Plus, the transcriptions always come back within a day, sometimes within the hour! I love Rev and refuse to use any other kind of transcription tool!

I have compared many different AI generated transcripts and captions, and Rev by far is the best and most accurate!  One thing that really sets it apart from others is that it is incredibly easy to edit the AI generated transcripts to correct small mistakes and add non-verbals and create a 100% accurate transcript, which is required for the kinds of qualitative data analysis that I do.  Rev enables you to watch the video, use key board short cuts to control play back, and correct the transcript in real time, or add additional information.  This has saved me countless hours, and produced much higher quality and more usable transcripts.  I also appreciate how the corrected transcipt file can be downloaded as a caption file.  I can't recommend Rev highly enough.

**What do you like best about Rev?**

I've been using Rev for about 10 years. It's my go-to for quick, accurate transcriptions of meetings, interviews, and recorded notes. The automated transcription is good enough for 99% of my needs, but knowing human transcription is available is reassuring. 

The new monthly programs are wonderful. I love simply having the service built into my tech stack overhead instead of having to track transcription fees by project. A couple of the AI tools I use can also do transcription, but Rev's ease of use and transcription quality make it more than worth the subscription cost.

It automatically creates a summary of each transcription, which is very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Rev?**

I really like the ability to organize projects into folders, but it would be a lot more helpful if you could also have subfolders to organize parts of projects. 

Also, the AI transcription works better if you set the context at the beginning of the meeting by saying each person's name. I never remember to do that - it would be nice if the project setup form included a box to add context - speaker names & roles, product names, specific jargon, etc. Being able to save this context for all the transcriptions in each project's folder would be great too.  

But even though I often do a relatively poor job of giving the AI contextual info, it still transcribes very well with only a few minor updates required for specialized names or industry vocabulary.

It would be nice if clicking download would automatically download both the transcription and the summary.

**What problems is Rev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1) I transcribe meetings to make sure all action items and decisions are noted. 2) I transcribe demo videos, webinars, SME interviews, etc. to capture information for product and thought leadership copywriting. Sometimes these are used for human copywriting; sometimes for training our AI tools on brand voice and product information.

Despite the variety of options, the site is very intuitive to use.

**What do you dislike about Rev?**

The "sharing" options. Once you change from "restricted" to whatever, you must click the "save" button and then copy the link. Many people that I've worked with in this app forget to click the "save" button. I think that it would be so much better just to change the options and have it automatically saved.

**What problems is Rev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am an EFL teacher, particularly I work with Conversational English and Speaking clubs. My main job is at a school where I have 125 students in my conversational classes, and I am required to present advancement audios at the end of each month as evidence of my students' improvement. I must use rubrics to grade their audios and present that improvement, so... you can imagine how much time it would require to check 125 audios. With REV I keep track of their audios and I can easily check the transcripts for vocabulary use and pronunciation... even my students are now more mindful about the transcript option and they check what the actually said vs what they meant. It has saved me lots and lots of grading time.

I really value the quick turnaround time with Rev, as it takes less than five minutes to get the transcript back once a file is uploaded, which is amazing. Also, I find the pricing to be reasonable. The initial setup of Rev was very easy, making it convenient to start using right away.

The transcripts often need some sort of cleaning up. Even when I select options to remove filler words, it doesn’t really do the best job at that.

**What do you like best about Rev?**

Rev's transcription is very accurate, more so than several other major transcription platforms that my business has also been using. 

In big group meetings, Rev easily recognizes the distinct participants even when their speech overlaps, and separates and assigns the transcription accordingly. I'm also amazed at how it's highly adaptable to speakers with different (sometimes thick) accents, and does a very good job at accurately deciphering their spoken words. What's more, it works just as well if you upload the audio files.

Another impressive feature is Rev's AI meeting summary and the "Chat with AI about your transcript" function. The AI does a very good job at analyzing the transcripts, and summarizing concisely while accurately highlighting the key discussions points. I find it so useful when I need to review previous meetings, especially from weeks or even months ago - so I can just review the AI summary section or ask Rev's AI chat a few questions to glean the useful information, without having to read through the extensive transcriptions.  And if I want to share the transcripts with my clients or other employees - I can export them in different file formats for email, or just click the "Share Transcript" button, which also allows me to set access privileges on a per-transcription file basis. 

Also, I use all of the major online conferencing platforms for my business, and configuring Rev to integrate with everyone of them are simple and straightforward. Once setup, it'll just automatically joins any and all meetings in my calendar, without having me to intervene. 

After using Rev for a few weeks, I've now canceled the the subscriptions for all other online transcription tools.

**What do you dislike about Rev?**

The web interface is a bit "busy", more like an Admin Panel interface. Several of my employees find that to be a bit overwhelming. So while I appreciate the extensive features and functionality accessible through the platform's web interface, I do wish there's a more user-friendly type interface for just normal (i.e., non-power) users.

**What problems is Rev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

High transcription accuracy that requires very little editing, and wide integration with all major online conferencing platforms to record and transcribe meetings, while providing AI chat function to help me identify and analyze key points discussed in the meetings.

I love how easy it is to use! It's so simple to drag and drop my audio files (or videos!) and know a reliable transcript will be generated within minutes. I use it weekly for all of my podcast clients! I also use it when I need to generate a transcript of a meeting or brainstorm session.

**What do you dislike about Rev?**

I dislike how some of the AI generated summaries and reports actually make up quotes. It's still helpful to start to get the ideas flowing, but I always have to go back to the timestamp and actually see if that is what was said. As a podcast editor who is featuring clients quotes, it is important that this is accurate and it's weird to me that AI just makes it up or builds off of only part of what was said.

**What problems is Rev solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's saving me A LOT of time when it comes to writing show notes for my clients and accurately capturing podcast quotes. It also makes meetings so much easier and I feel relief in not having to hold the mental load of remembering everything as an ADHD individual - I trust that the transcript and the generated summary will always be able to trigger my memory.
