That's why it can be helpful to get a human transcription in those situations. **What problems is Rev solving and how is that benefiting you?** The lack of speedy AI transcription is felt in the media marketplace. Doing many interviews or many short interviews and not having transcription that comes at the speed with which we must begin edits is difficult. When transcribing, their algorithm does not catch all words accurately when the speaker does not have an American accent. This means I have to go back through and significantly clean up the transcript before use. For example, after I search for a file in the search bar, I need to click on the title and got transferred to another page in order to download the text file. I had forgotten to set it up and remembered 10 minutes before the session. They even add the names of the speakers, even if that information was not initially provided. I also like that they allow you to download the transcript in .word or .pdf. I do channel the transcript requests in the project I work for and the stakeholders have different preferences regarding the format. **What do you like best about Rev?** The quality of the transcriptions is incredible. I have heard the recordings and they get fuzzy (sometimes conversation overlaps or are hardly audible). Nevertheless, the Rev team have managed to transcript them with great accuracy. I also like that they give you an ETA for the transcript. You can also follow the progress of it. **What do you dislike about Rev?** For transcript services, time can be longer than desired. They promptly send you an email to inform you about the delay and the new target date. If you are in a hurry, Rev offers a faster process at a higher rate. If I have something that requires minimal accuracy and just the basic conversation, I can send it to what we have come to call "the robots" for a VERY cheap option. I generally select "the humans," but it's nice to know the automated robots are an option. **What do you dislike about Rev?** The automated transcription (aka "robots) is not super reliable but you can generally get a feel for what is being said. Getting the email notification with order updates is also super helpful. As someone who submits hundreds of orders a week, sometimes I can’t find that thing I was looking for because it’s organized by Order #.
