"A powerful low-code platform"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Retool?

What I like best about Retool is its flexibility and ease of use for building internal tools quickly. It allows you to connect to different databases and APIs effortlessly, saving time and reducing the need for custom development. The drag-and-drop interface is user-friendly, making it easy to create powerful applications without requiring deep technical skillls. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Retool?

One downside of Retool is its pricing, especially when it comes to adding new users to the account. In the past, I’ve faced challenges when trying to scale our team because the cost of adding users can be quite high. This makes it difficult for smaller teams or organizations with limited budgets to fully utilize the platform’s potential. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Amazing front end interface for SQL database"
5/5
What do you like best about Retool?

The ability to easily set up a SQL database as a resource, and set up a frontend CRUD app with little to no software development knowledge required. There has also been a vast amount of new features added in the past 2 years we've used the software, and their customer support and developer community are a great resource. What do you dislike about Retool?

Retool offeres Plotly for graphing solutions. As a means of presenting data, plotly covers the bare minimum and can be a hard module to work with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great low code solution for internal tools"
4/5
What do you like best about Retool?

Retool has made it incredibly easy for our team to build tools that integrate seamlessly with our API. Even our product team members, who don't have a technical background, can create powerful tools with minimal effort. The platform is both powerful and highly customizable, allowing us to tailor solutions to our specific needs. It's a game-changer for internal operations. Highly recommended for teams looking to empower non-technical users to build and manage their own applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Retool?

The lack of support for branches complicates the release process. Managing different versions and deploying updates can be challenging without proper version control, which limits flexibility and adds risks to production changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Build dashboards and applications as easy as 1,2,3."
5/5
What do you like best about Retool?

The power to build powerful applications with very little code. It's intuitive to use and with basic SQL you can do so many things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Retool?

It has a bit of a learning curve with setting up all connections to your companies APIs or resources, and then the UI is a bit strange. They recently updated it and I feel like everything is in the wrong place (too cluttered and hard to find what you need). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best tool to test, ship and evolve new ideas (especially with AI)"
5/5
What do you like best about Retool?

I often use Retool to develop working prototypes or new stand-alone features to easily integrate in our product. This approach accelerated testing of new functionalities, improved the feedback loop, and allowed for rapid iteration on prototypes. I think is the best tool to test and release new ideas (especially with AI). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Very powerful tool!"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Retool?

Once you get a grasp of basic concepts it allows you to create pretty good software astonishingly quickly.

- The Embed feature allowed us to integrate Retool into our existing internal software. Replacing one screen at a time, we reached a state where 80% of our system is implemented in Retool and only the rest is proprietary and works nicely together.

- It reduced the time my team spent on internal tooling development dramatically, while improving the speed of delivery and response to change requests by an order of magnitude.

- Integration with our existing systems (Mongo DB, S3, ...) was a breeze.

- Responsive support, willing to help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Retool?

The UX of code editing fields is sometimes a bit clunky, but nothing one can't get around. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I don't think the value of Retool can be overstated"
5/5
What do you like best about Retool?

We can VERY quickly prototype product ideas, prove concepts, deploy tailored internal tools, and build custom integrations between disparate systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
