"Building Applications with Retool Has Never Been Easier"
What do you like best about Retool?

Retool is incredibly efficient for building internal apps fast, without much coding effort. For instance in our own case, we visualize the data using the built in components available and rapidly integrate our external API's. Perfect for managing and organizing complex enterprise system. "Easy to use, quick customer support, and always-improving platform"
What do you like best about Retool?

It's perfect for building front-end applications as well as backend applications. Even the free tier provides ample capabilities and storage to make impactful tools. Their support team is very helpful and responsive. We have jobs running multiple times per hour and as we scale the pricing does not grow out of hand. It's very quick to setup an integration with an out-of-the-box connection or with a custom resource. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Retool?

Some very intuitive features have yet to be built and the threads in their forums are missing updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Game changer"
What do you like best about Retool?

I love how I as a product manager am able to ship internal tools end to end with minimal dependancy on the rest of my team. This is a total game changer as the rest of the team is able to work on high impact user facing value and I can help to cover the internal usecases - which I also understand better than them anyway. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Retool?

The worst thing about Retool is the fact it often leads to a lot of additional tech realestate which if not managed carefully can lead to tech debt. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The only tool builder for internal uses that you should look for"
What do you like best about Retool?

Retool is a great tool for quickly building internal apps. It's really easy to use, and the version control feature is super handy for keeping everything organized. Plus, it has pretty much everything you need to get the job done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Retool?

Retool has a few downsides to keep in mind. Debugging, especially for scripts, can be pretty tricky. The "Preview" button actually triggers the function, which can lead to unattended requests—something that’s not clear just from the name "preview." Also, it’s not the most user-friendly for non-tech folks, so they might find it a bit tough to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Decentralization and velocity"
What do you like best about Retool?

Retool has helped me to develop tools with an UX that would not be able only via code. Moreover, it has decentralized from our tech team the capacity to develop tools.

For example: when I worked in our Logistics team, a colleague developed via retool an application that enabled the operators to check every SKU by scanning the barcodes with their cellphones. It would only be possible using an WMS, but it was made by a team member without using any resources from our tech team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Retool?

some queries started to be very slow. Moreover, I could not find specific documentation in order to adapt some apps that were already developed. I remember being confused in editing a flow in retool that was developed by a colleague. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
