"Complex Onboarding, Limited Drafting Functionality"

0.5/5

What do you like best about Responsive, formerly RFPIO?

I found the content library organization in Responsive, formerly RFPIO, to be a good aspect of the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Responsive, formerly RFPIO?

The onboarding was very complex and took too long. The first draft functionality doesn't work as good as Claude. The staff was aggressive, and they sent the invoice to the wrong account and accused us of not paying. The functionality for writing and drafting was very limited. The initial setup was difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Responsive, formerly RFPIO solving and how is that benefiting you?

Responsive, formerly RFPIO, was organized for tender management and storing narrative documents, though we didn't benefit much due to onboarding complexity and functionality issues. Its content library organization was a standout before we ended the contract. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Limited Entitlements Eliminate Value of Legacy Software"

0/5

What do you like best about Responsive, formerly RFPIO?

Previously, Responsive was able to consolidate the market with an unlimited users and projects model. They now moved away from this and are rapidly shifting to a model of nickeling and diming customers for blocks of 10 (both users and projects), resulting in exorbitant fees in comparison to the value the tool actually offers my company. We have a revolving door of Account Reps as well who are entirely indifferent to our needs and issues. Responsive failed in converting many of their customers to capped entitlements, and has inconsistent pricing and licensing in the market as a result. Other customers are paying comparable fees to my company for 2k+ users vs. the 90 that my company was allotted. The tool is not intuitive or easy to use. Even with 90 users that have been enabled, less than 1/3 regularly use it. And when they do use it, they need help from me to be effective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Responsive, formerly RFPIO?

Responsive is now considered a legacy content management solution whose AI capabilities pale in comparison to basic ad-hoc GenAI tools that are homegrown. It's also significantly more expensive and less broadly adopted in comparison to the AI tools that can replace it. We've eliminated a lot of wasted time by shifting our resource investments for RFPs away from RFPIO content management, toward GenAI tools that produce better responses with more efficient content models. Do not sign with them longer than one year!! The technology is quickly becoming obsolete in the face of rapid AI evolution. We're on the hook wasting money over the next three years so wanted to share my knowledge with others having similar conversations with Responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Responsive, formerly RFPIO solving and how is that benefiting you?

Now that they have moved to a capped entitlements model and AI technology has evolved, there are firmly 0 benefits the software provides. I write better quality RFPs faster using GenAI tools that cost less and are more widely adopted across the enterprise than Responsive. This approach also saves weeks worth of time not having to upkeep a traditional content library with structured governance models. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great overall platform, but there are definitely some features that leave much to be desired."

0.5/5

What do you like best about Responsive, formerly RFPIO?

The multi-user function - being able to assign tasks to many different employees/departments, and the Q&A pair feature - being able to use previous responses to many commonly recurring questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Responsive, formerly RFPIO?

\*\*Updating my review: We've been on RFPIO/Responsive for over a year and there are still some major faults. A-Z sorting is still not an option within the Document/Content library and it's severely inhibiting its use, especially among SME's. Still no ETA on when that will be implemented and that is very disappointing to hear. Such a simply tool to be missing.

It's not at all intuitive or user-friendly. Many options are buried deep within side menus, and menus within menus. Or, the menu is completely obscured and is a tiny dot buried somewhere on the page. Options often disappear and take a page refresh to re-appear. The various menu choices seem entirely random, most useless, and many, EXPECTED options are missing. Example: sorting A-Z, limited items per page (can't view all in one scrollable list), inability to change email templates, inability to change user functions, the need to drive deep within a file to change information about it. It doesn't save changes correctly and is often necessary to double check things. These are just items off the top of my head. It's a great start at a program, but it leaves A LOT to be desired. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Responsive, formerly RFPIO solving and how is that benefiting you?

RFPIO is allowing us to multitask audits, requests and questionnaires, which streamlines and shortens turn around time to our clients. The various other functions allow us to keep projects combined, such as document signing, and the content library for attachments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

UPDATE: Thanks to the fact that you saw something and said something, our product team updated the sorting features. You can now sort from A-Z and Z-A. Please don't hesitate to reach out with further concerns.

Thank you for your feedback. We understand your frustration and are sharing your review with our product team. In the meantime, our customer success team would love to work through the issues with you and perhaps find a workaround. Would you mind either messaging us through the G2 platform or contacting your customer success manager directly?

"RFPIO is several years away from being a useful tool for complex RFPs"

0/5

What do you like best about Responsive, formerly RFPIO?

The answer library and searching functionality is nice and useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Responsive, formerly RFPIO?

I don't like how clunky it is to actually respond to RFP's in the solution. Things like spreadsheets and tables are mindblowingly challenging and tedious. Our most basic RFP responses were classified by our trainer as exptremely complex and challenging to run fully in RFPIO. There are so many things that they have not fully thought out, and there needs to be significant development before this is a useful tool. During our training, there were multiple bugs identified that need to be resolved and we can't wait for bug tickets to be fixed. The training was TERRIBLE. We were just handed off to a trainer for a useless few days of training where she wasn't prepared. It was poorly structured and high-level. Now we are being handed off to someone else, and we haven't even been properly trained in the solution yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Responsive, formerly RFPIO solving and how is that benefiting you?

The answer library and advanced searching is helping us find quality content more quickly. It is also helping us standardize responses and get more consistency accross our bids. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hi there, It must be frustrating to be unable to find appropriate response to get your work done. I realize this may or may not be helpful, but I wanted to pass along two things:

1) RFPIO University course focused on “Setting Up a Project up for Success”: https://university.rfpio.com/student/path/1290577-setting-up-a-project-for-success-new-ui

In the course they go through

-- Customizing Project Settings

-- Tools for Assigning Authors and Reviewers

-- Using Auto Respond

2) Here is an article featuring a customer who outlined their experience optimizing their content library: https://www.rfpio.com/blog/geodis-increases-sme-efficiency-80/

We appreciate your review and I know you mentioned you’ve reached out for help, but I would recommend you reach out to you CSM for more tailored help and if you are not sure who your CSM is , please reach out support and they'll connect you.
