Extremely user friendly, makes training new staff on our system very easy. The versatility allows for it to be customed very closely to our specific needs. The customer support is excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ResourceSpace?

Restraints in metadata fields can require a lot of tinkering before getting them just right. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent Image DAM"
5/5
What do you like best about ResourceSpace?

I love the ability to ingest, catalog and tag assets for quick and easy recall. The ability to share assets with others quickly is a must in a fast-paced business environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ResourceSpace?

There are features that are not fleshed out and feel very clunky. The ability to share a link with external users so they can add/share assets is a great addition, though it lacks business and legal required TOS when accepting those assets. Attempts to address this, even through paid sponsorship, with Montala has been briskly dismissed. Other things like addressing asset comment has also been met with the same fate. Even when showing real-world use cases and, again, offering paid sponsorship to help improve features. This is probably the most frustrating aspect and the only thing that causes pause in recommending ResourceSpace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Amazing free, open source DAM system"
4.5/5
What do you like best about ResourceSpace?

ResourceSpace is free software, meaning there are no license fees and enterprise pricing plans even for unlimited users. This has been essential for my institution as we have limited resources. I worked with a very small group of people, using the ResourceSpace free open source software, to launch an online photo archive of marketing and communications images. We were fortunate to have an in-house systems administrator who was willing to work with us to set up the system based on our specific needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ResourceSpace?

There are several customizations we would have liked to incorporate, but with our limited support, we were not able to find solutions for all of them. One shortfall in particular is the lack of ability to create nested collections, or sub-collections within larger ones. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Messy Interface, But Gets The Job Done"
3.5/5
What do you like best about ResourceSpace?

Resourcespace is a great solution for storing a large number of files on the web. While there are a number of different features on Resourcespace, I primarily use it to create "collections" of high quality photos. The collection feature is a great way to keep everything organized and easy to access. I also enjoy how accurate the search feature is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ResourceSpace?

The Resourcespace is rather messy. The school I work for uses the program to upload, maintain, and share photos with faculty and staff. Because the interface isn't very clean, faculty and staff often have trouble trying to figure out how it works. In other words, Respurcespace can be relatively easy to grasp if you're familiar with programs similar to it, but if you're not, it can become incredibly difficult to use.
