What do you like best about Resource Guru?

Its an easy and simple to use product. The RG team is always making improvements and neew integrations to help alit with other systems. It helps keep our teams on track and on task. It has allowed us to get very granular time tracking and scheduling for all our teams and projects on one place. It was really simple to implement and getting the team onboard with a new product was really quite easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Resource Guru?

"Accessible and User-Friendly Planning, Needs Better Reporting"
4/5
What do you like best about Resource Guru?

I find Resource Guru mostly user-friendly. I like that it's an online tool, so it doesn't require a VPN to work from home. My team can access it easily and choose between multiple ways to see their planned work, whether on the whole team's schedule or their dashboard. This flexibility makes it really convenient. I can access it from anywhere, which is a big plus for remote work. The initial setup of Resource Guru was also very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Resource Guru?

I don't think the reports are user-friendly enough. Also didn't like when they changed the way they looked. I liked the previous version more. The Excel reports that are exported from Resource Guru should be formatted more easily or exported only with the information you filter. I usually get the whole pack for the chosen period of time and am not able to filter that enough. For somebody who is not doing reports every day, it's not easy to search for the information. On the other hand, when you see the reports in the desktop version, the sheets are sometimes very confusing and you don't know which row is which. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Scheduling and Planning with Resource Guru"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Resource Guru?

I like that I can easily log on to Resource Guru to check where I'll be, which helps me plan my calendar and annual calendar in advance. It's beneficial for our organization to structure and know where to be at a particular time. I also find it very easy to set up and use. The video provided was self-explanatory, making it simple for me personally to get started. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Resource Guru?

I can't say there's anything specific for now, but I would like a way to color code different days of the week. It would make it easier for me to quickly figure out where I'm supposed to be at a particular time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly, Real-Time Scheduling That Adapts to Constant Changes"
5/5
What do you like best about Resource Guru?

RG is user-friendly and easy to use. It works really well for us because schedules and people are constantly changing, and we can update appointments quickly and easily so everyone stays informed in real time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Resource Guru?

It feels like this is partly an RG issue and partly a user issue: it’s very easy to accidentally move an appointment, workshop, or project and not even notice it happened. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient planning with small visual pitfalls"
4/5
What do you like best about Resource Guru?

I like that the staff have the opportunity to manage their own assignments in Resource Guru. Additionally, it is advantageous that the project manager can also manage everything. I have an organized overview of the project data on which an employee is working. It is particularly valuable for me to see which employees are deployed, how, and when. This helps us to identify and effectively utilize available capacities, which is crucial for a service company to ensure that project employees are deployed on a project for 8 hours every day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Resource Guru?

I personally find it a bit too colorful, and in the schedule overview, I sometimes find it difficult to keep track because there is too much information at once. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Tool for Scheduling, Needs Report Improvements"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Resource Guru?

I use Resource Guru in my company for scheduling the personnel's agenda and booking the projects they will be assigned to during the week. I personally appreciate the reports section, as it simplifies data collection by helping me obtain information about the bookings everyone had over the month. This feature is handy when creating reports for the company's directors to show the distribution of schedules each month. I find it valuable that it generates an automatic report that summarizes how much time our workers spent on each project, and it helps create an agenda that's easy to consult, simplifying the distribution of internal resources. While the initial setup was a bit confusing, we adapted quickly, and Resource Guru has made our operations easier and clearer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Resource Guru?

Lately I had some problems with the way the report has been downloading. Even though I ask for certain filters and conditions, the report does not comply with the specifications I asked for. This is sometimes frustrating since this is a functionality I use frequently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effective Time Management Tool with Room for Mobile Improvement"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Resource Guru?

I really appreciate Resource Guru's ability to help me track my time on individual projects. It's very helpful for managing how much time I'm spending and allocating for different projects and tasks. I like being able to look at my time and schedule to see how my time is working, how often, and the number of hours we're spending on one project. This makes it valuable for scheduling with other teammates, as they can see what's on my schedule. If I have spare time, they know I'm available to work with them. Also, the initial setup was pretty easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Resource Guru?

I think it would be very helpful if Resource Guru had the ability to track things with my phone. I would like a tool where I can quickly timestamp things on and off, maybe a widget or something easily accessible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Scheduling, Needs Better Visuals"
5/5
What do you like best about Resource Guru?

I like how Resource Guru makes everything visible and reduces the need for constant communication about schedules. I can easily see my schedule and those of others, whether they are on the same site or elsewhere. It’s really helpful to know where everyone is without having to ask all the time. Plus, the ability to sort people based on different factors like their location, site, or manager is a great feature. The initial setup of Resource Guru was really nice and easy, making it a good tool that’s simple to understand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Resource Guru?

I think it would be helpful to have different color blocks for different projects. There's a lot of overlap on the main screen with the same colors for different job sites, so it's not easy to quickly see who is assigned to what. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible Visualization Enhances Scheduling"
4/5
What do you like best about Resource Guru?

I like Resource Guru for its flexible visualization and the choice of colors. It allows me to add different clients and projects within the client, which helps make sure the right projects are allocated to the right consultant. The ability to visualize different levels of utilization within the team is helpful, and the flexible visualization is much better than what we used to do with Excel. The software is user-friendly once you get past the initial learning curve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Resource Guru?

The ability to add projects within the client and team members wasn't very clear initially, and I spent more time than I would have liked figuring it out. The workflow was not very clear, especially where to add team members. It took some time to get used to Resource Guru because there was a bit of a learning curve on how to insert projects, add clients, and manage billable and non-billable hours.
